The Rumour Thread

does FW stuff ever appear in the rumor engines? (I don't believe so, but asking just in case)

the reason I ask is a few days ago (the 18th July) Chris Vera posted a teaser for a new Aeldari book that is going to be released soon, Andrew Hollis's project (so I expect 30k or atleast FW)

Yes and no.  The rumour engine has so far been purely plastic miniatures, so you'll get the various specialist games (part of the FW studio) in addition to the main 40k/AoS rumours.

From the perspective of 30k/40k on this forum, we try our best to stick to AoS as much as we can.  Although we'll occasionally discuss new releases or compare game mechanics, we don't generally veer too far down that path.

Objection your Honor! I do remember at least one resin FW model to be teased (the bloodblowk goblins with the chainsaw) ;)

Well jokes on you, because the 3rd nephew of the janitor of a bank that GW's CEO went to once just told me we are getting a release of Tomb King Elves crossbred with ogors from the realm of light. Each sprue comes with a resin euro and pound.

There is a Warhammer Preview in 4 hours there. Nothing said it's a 40k only event IIRC...

(There also is a WP at Warhammer World this week-end but it's for the 40k Apocalypse event so I'm less sure for this week end).

I guess we see one or two small AoS previews today (maybe another Beastgrave teaser or the other two War Cry war bands) and 40K on Saturday. Having 40K on both days would be a little much.

Have to be honest while I would like to see new things teased today or previous teasers expanded I’m not sure how people who went 2 weeks ago to the AoS preview would feel knowing few days later there’s more stuff announced...

I think WU would be the only thing making sense with Dreadfane coming to Germany and USA soon, maybe a release timeline for the new season.

Honestly these days we know that GW teases out release info and I think if you went to the AoS preview event you would go for more than just the half hour or so of previews. Ergo you went for the Warcry and other stuff not just the preview info because if the preview info is all you want from an event its a lot cheaper just to see it online.

Fair enough, my point is that I don’t expect anything interesting today. Setting expectations as low as I can to avoid disappointment.

@Overread it’s interesting to see if GW will sell those warbands separately soon or not because in theory you can’t assemble all iron golems with one single box and without the eBay market buying extra models would be prohibitive...

The preview we got two weeks ago pretty showed us what the next few months have to offer for AoS, so we're not going to get new-new stuff until most of it releases.

I'm not expecting much today, but we should get some more details on some of the things we saw last time, especially now that Warcry is fully released barring the last two warbands, and I don't think we'll see those yet.

The gencon preview last year was mostly third party board game stuff. They didn’t show any AoS or Underworlds, I wouldn’t expect any different this time.

They showed the Nightvault starter at Nova last year, which is the end of August, so we will probably see Beastgrave then.
