Would be awesome if Cities of Sigmar turns into "Cities of the Realms" where you can choose a patron God, which gives your armies certain buffs and restrictions, and maybe access to certain units from other battletomes loyal to that god.

You could build chaos cities, or cities enthralled to Nagash, Ghurish cities enslaved by Gorkkamorka, or Aelven captured cities like Har Kuran.

This would be incredible.

Cities of Grungni

Cities of Grimnir

Cities of Valaya

Cities of Taal

Cities of Morr

Cities of just thinking for yourself without enslaving yourself to any gods, thank you very much

Barring all new Factions, what would you guys like to see happen for Destruction in AoS 3

For Ironjawz, mostly new kits with axes launchers ( and by that I mean a big heavy  2h axe), chariots, etc. To me the Ironjawz could use the Iron horde of WoW art not by story, just by design, because it was a cool concept in my eyes.

Bonesplitters, more shamanic units. Even great beasts (Squiggoth with a howdah please ?).

Beastclaws. Getting rid of the finecast. Also more emphazise on the winter theme. I don't know some frozen elemental-ogors possessed by the everwinter something like that. And also a proper priest model instead of the hurskarl.

Mawtribes. Again finecast has to go and be replaced.

Sons of behemat. A matriarch/witch ogor who heal by prayer or magic. Fun ideas: A unit of giant dedicated to launch boulder...I'm not convinced it's useful rulewise as they all can alrezdy do that but the sculpt would be cool 😄.  Mammoth pets as Ogor use kitties or Stormcast gryphounds. Also King Brodd of course...

If we're only replacing the Finecast, then GW could theoretically completely update the ogre range with six kits.

-Gorger/Yhetee dual box (face/back/arm swaps like the Crypt Horror/Vargheist kit)

-Firebelly

-Butcher/Slaughtermaster dual box (different arms/head and a cauldron for the Slaughtermaster)

-Maneater box (this would be a box of five with a lot of different bits for weapon options/customization)

-Icebrow Hunter

-Frost Sabres

I'm of the opinion that Underworlds teams are meant as soft updates for a lot of resin models, so we've already got the Hunter down. It's a shame it doesn't come with more Frost Sabres.

Honestly, I wouldn't be surprised if most of these were dropped rather than updated, but that might be the pessimist in me speaking. Out of all the armies in the game (or even just Destruction), ogres are pretty far down on the update priority list. Conversions are pretty easy for them and alleviate a lot of the problems the range has.

IMO, Flesh Eaters, Fyreslayers, and Sons all need an the most. Hopefully the Slannesh and Lumineth second waves are a sign of things to come, rather than just exceptions.

Agree with absolutely everything mate.

Indeed. I nearly bought up these guys recently, but when I saw the Crimson Court and Cursed City, I opted to go that way instead.

I'm getting the feeling that many of the new models from Cursed City, like bat and rat swarms, skeletons, zombies, etc. will be available as individual kits. The new Soulblight Vampires are going to be customize-able, and will be able to make use of these.

"Cities of Grungni" = karaks(destroyed by chaos) , maybe when we get a Dispossessed release.

"Cities of Grimnir" = play Fyreslayers

"Cities of Valaya" she is dead or missing

"Cities of Taal"  - a god that does not seem to be into cities, he also does not seem to be that powerful considering his lack of agency.

"Cities of Morr" - Morr is dead, there is the underworld god 'morrda' however. But he seems to be hiding from nagash.

https://ageofsigmar.lexicanum.com/wiki/Morrda

"Cities of just thinking for yourself" = Play Kharadron Overlords(sky ports) and even then, their existence was only possible due to the breathe of Grungni.

The Ulfenwatch could be used in AoS (just paint their banners as you like) but I'm not sure about their zombies. The roots and tombstones seems to be a unique  feature of Ulfenkarn/ Gorslav.

I'm really curious if we will have the option to build an Ulfenkarn army when the Graverlords land (I love this kind of things!)

Gloomspite I would love to see more support for Spiderfang with their own troop type, almost the Bonesplitterz equivalent of a Grot with updated Spider Riders and perhaps even another Faction of Sun Grots with Rippa Snarlfang styled wolf riders and Chariots.

I’m with you here, I would like more synergies when taking mixed army and more support on Spiderfang and Troggoths. Troggoths need new leaders to be playable in AoS at a decent level, Spiderfang need just spiders and better sculpts for the riders plus some more oomph as the current damage potential is one of the lowest.

I also thought long about the Rippa guys and I think they would suit better as a subfaction of the Gloomspite rather than on their own, with few models and same synergies as above

I wanted to buy some of those models for nostalgia on a GW store and get the free coin in the process but no GW store is open in UK... I’ll have to find something else to buy, I was secretele hoping Soulblight was coming towards May/June

I'm sticking with my prediction that Gravelords will be announced after BR: Teclis is released, like Hedonites were after Morathi. I originally thought they would come out in between BR: Teclis and BR III (which we now know is Belakor), but since Belakor has now already been announced, I am not so sure anymore.

It looks like nearly all the minis from Cursed City might make it into AoS proper as part of Gravelords.

The new zombies come in a set of 10 and have been referred to as just Deadwalker Zombies in the community articles. They will probably replace the current zombie kit. The recent bit of fluff about Gorslav the Gravekeeper possibly being part of an order of deathmages also lends credence to the idea that he will make it into Gravelords as a new hero type.

With the old bat swarms becoming "no longer available online", it seems like the new ones from Cursed City will be their replacements. The announcement of the new Rat Prince vampire mini makes it seem like rat swarms could also be a new addition to Gravelords.

The Ulfenwatch skeletons are actually the hardest to place, in my opinion. The old skeleton kit does not really need an update, and Deathrattle already have a light and heavy infantry option. Kind of hard to predict what role the new skeletons will play. They might just end up as an easy to build option for skeleton warriors. They will carry over to Gravelords no doubt, though, since they also come in a pack of 10 with a banner and champion option.

I was thinking about the zombies, as you say they are very tied to Ulfenkarn- Its more likely to be indicative that we'll get very different AoS zombies, not merely shambling dead- the undead ogres offering some really interesting options- could maybe get a variety of dead walkers . Really looking forward to seeing what they come out with.

I'm reluctant to see the Mourngul being sold out as indicating anything more than FW waking from hibernation to cancel a bunch of kits and then go back to sleep, as is their way.

Together with the other recent discontinuations, the removal of the Mourngul might be indicative of Forgeworld planning to stop supporting AoS altogether. Sucks for armies with good FW options like Gitz and Warclans.

I mean to be frank they barely support 40k or 30k either, though there is a difference in scale there. Specialist Games is great, consistently the most interesting part of modern GW but it's sad to see FW reduced to a just-about-on-life-support appendage to them, even before covid.

As much as I love the new WHQ  and waht we've seen from the new Undead faction but let's be honest: The new zombies are an outrageously stupid design for an AoS army. If GW is smart, they will get something else zombie-ish done for the Gravelords as people just want classic zombies in GW's new level quality.... Those might work from a background perspective/or in Quest, or even in regards to the name (gravelords) but they look awkward and like duplicates (they already look almost completely the same from the side, imagine a frontal view). The reception will be similar to beasts of Nurgle (it was BAD...but well, ****** Nurgle, smelly ****** *birdhate*), guaranteed.

I do hope the new skeletons will be released separetely.

Anyone know anything about either characters from the horse vs horse fight? 😃

Uhtralle is the new Ymetrica character they showed off at the preview, and the other one is presumably some Ossiarch character that’ll have its own boxset without actually having rules, like Van Brecht or Drusa Kraeth for BR Morathi.

absolutely. And then they'll wonder why their  khorne dragon isn't flying off the shelves.

Noooooooo... I wanted one for my take on an Eidolon of Mathlaan. I hadn’t realised they would go without warning.

They have previous on that front.  My feeling is that their model is moving away from anything AoS related part from the exalted daemons as they can live in both systems.
