  1. Spear of Shadows and reviews here. https://www.tga.community/forums/topic/21838-the-aos-lore-and-novels-thread/?page=4
  2. The only oldhammer lore youtuber that I know that like AoS is "Loremaster of Sotek".
  3. I wonder how AoS novel sells are doing now, and how are they doing compered to the old whf novels.
  4. Every once in a while, I will visit the total war warhammer general discussion forum to check out the game. And occasionally the topic of AoS will come up, and everytime I am reminded that people don't know what they are talking about on there.
  5. I heard that the warhammer underworlds video game is getting troll bombed on the steam forums. If this is true, then some people need to grow up and get a life.
  6. Sigmar is viewed as a a shard of the Heavens by Balthas. "The God-King stood before him, arrayed in golden war-plate. The air twisted about him, as if the realm were not quite able to bear his weight. He stood half a head higher than the tallest of his warriors, and there was an elemental strength to him – as if he were the raw fury of the storm, given solid form. But his presence was not merely physical. Sigmar’s immensity stretched beyond the boundaries of the corporeal, into spheres beyond the sight of mortal men. He was the cold gaze of the moon and the warm laugh of the sun. He was the sound of clashing steel, of avalanches and howling winds. To one possessing storm-sight, Sigmar appeared as a shard of the firmament itself. A being of pure starlight, impossible to look at for long. The God-King was Azyr, given mind and voice. In his merest gesture was the movement of worlds, and in his gaze, the flare of falling stars. Balthas blinked, trying to ignore what lay behind the mask of broad, too-human features. The face of a man aeons dead, out of whom a god had emerged"
  7. "Bretonnians" were not in that book, Bretonnia was a specific nation with a specific culture. And it was at not warhamer fest. This is just wishful thinking. Like I said, you don't need tomb Kings back to have an army with an Egyptian aesthetic, GW could very well release a skeleton army with some Egyptian themes( though they will look closer to what Nagash looks like)
  8. Opinion, Gardus is a perfectly fine name thank you very much.
  9. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/05/16/forbidden-power-the-artefactsgw-homepage-post-1/
  10. Looking at the main page. I think we need a page specifically for magic and explaining how magic works in the mortal realms, artifacts and spells. What do you think? Also I think the AoS deity page should also be moved to the main page.
  11. The realm of Shadows has nothing to do with the Moon and the realm of light is more about enlightenment and light in general. The two realms metaphysically affect the day and night cycle, rather than literally representing the Sun and the Moon. Sun and the moon seems to be more of a realm of Heavens thing now. And then in the gloomspite battletome we have confirmation that there Are multiple Suns and moons and celestial bodies in the realms. Anyway nowadays the realm of light is more about glowing crystals, so I expect the light elves to have some Crystal thing going on.
  12. I'm starting to think The Wanderers might be getting their own book and their own underworlds warband. At first I thought that elf looking warhorn rumor engine was for the Sylvaneth, but not anymore. And we know that the non-chaos factions of warcry are not going to be new models. I think we may have a Wanderers release of some kind on the way, either for underworlds or a general release.
  13. That lion for Warhammer underworlds. It has a Daughters of khaine headpiece, but the colors just don't look very Daughters of khaine-ish. Maybe it's for one of the other elf factions ? Lion Rangers?
  14. The one thing I hate about this, why is Steelheart holding his Great sword one handed? It looks so weird.
  15. I think people need to understand, you don't need tomb Kings back to have an army with an Egyptian aesthetic, GW could very well release a skeleton army with some Egyptian themes( though they will look closer to what Nagash looks like) As for an army with chivalrous Knights, they can do that with the free peoples/devoted of Sigmar. New Knightly orders and Crusaders Etc.
  16. In skaven fashion, they betray each other. I believe both groups were trying to kill each other at the end.
  17. I liked them, But it's subjective. I would say the biggest benefit for me is, I have a much fuller picture of the overall story. I witnessed when Gardus first struck in the realm of life or Vandus Hammerhand's first conflict with Korghos Khul and the destruction his pyramid of skulls. I do however recommend reading "Mortarch of Night" before reading "Hallowed Knights: Black Pyramid" https://www.blacklibrary.com/warhammer-age-of-sigmar/novels/mortarch-of-the-night-ebook.html Review: https://www.trackofwords.com/2017/12/29/mortarch-of-night-josh-reynolds-and-david-guymer/ I do think post realmgate stuff is when the novel authors were a lot more confident in the setting, Maps help.
  18. You should read the novel "warbeast". It had slaves to Darkness that worship the rat.
  19. I have read all of the realmgate wars stuff. Some novels are better then others, I could link you some reviews of the novels. If you want. By the way, check out some of the older post in this thread. I have posted some realmgate Wars novels and reviews already.
  20. Would it be cool that when the "slaves to Darkness" battletome drops. It had rules for the slaves to take the mark of the horned rat, and be counted as skaven?( or skaventide ?) Would this be interesting or useful?
  21. Check out older post in this thread, even got reviews. https://www.tga.community/forums/topic/21838-the-aos-lore-and-novels-thread/?page=4 1)City of Secrets/Callis and Toll series is a must read. 2) Also read The Eight Lamentations series.
