  1. Well for gods in all fantasy/scifi universe...death is more of a temporarily state than a true ending....Kurnoth is no exception. Also he's like a nature god of some sort...so death-revive-seasons. I can't for when he will be introduce. He always was my favorite elven god with Morai-Heg. And I hope Kurnothi are not an abandonned release.
  2. Not entirely true for Primaris comparison because they staight up cut the range when replacement was about to arrive two weeks after. And sometimes they coexist like tactical marines and rhino or razorback. But I agree with the Sequiliberator part. I saw a post on reddit made by someone who just finished painting his Sacrosanct army...I really hope he'll do that instead of giving up (as understanble as it can be it will still be a shame for his work).
  3. So you tell me that BoC players had to re-base their army in 2015 to adapt to AoS...just to re-base them again in square ? It's like a husband/wife coming back ten years after doing midlife crisis: "sorry honey I'm home now !". Anyway personal feelings: absolutely mortified for BS, BoC and Sacro-sanct players. Even if I think Stormcasts will be redone in the future. What makes me angry more than the cut of thoses factions is that it's 4th edtition incoming and there is still army culling in AoS...like...again ? We all could assume anything with a tome would be safe..but in the end it doesn't. And the cherry on the top is that it's always "Fantasy" that got rid of concept and factions....when in 40k there is still old rhino and tactical marines from SM range... I don't want old SM players to feel the same and I understand that SM sells much much more...but damn that's infuriating. I mean I have no trust at all with GW HQ decisions on what to do with AoS range now...what's next ? Getting rid of Ogors ? Fyreslayers ? since those sell so poorly aparently ? They got a Warcry band ? So did Horns of Hashut... What GW did, to me, is putting back fear of losing the army I chose and some that grew on me when I thought everything was at least settled (souped or not). And that's a terrible feeling when you could spend that much time and money on something...(and before any response if tomorrow Ossiarch ended up as BoC i could notplay anymore because there is only like 3 people in my area who play AoS and they only play competitive...so Legends is a no go and I feel sorry for those who will met this situation).
  4. I mean...we're not even sure that they play/paint/collect/read anything related to warhammer..except maybe some meme about 40k and SM. The fact also that many new 40k lore enjoyer are just there for Horus Heresy book is kinda annoying for me (then every 40k lore related topic is something like : " who is the most powerful primarch?" Or "what is Rogal Dorn underwears' color of Rogal Dorn ?").. I love 40k and AoS lore both for different reason but the former become kinda annoying right now when the later improve each year. On topic: 40k is just "2 characters with codex" as usual. Not overly excited. Foot lord is really cool...the other is kinda weird in his posing. KT: ..Votans are cool...Genestealer Cult are...a bandaid. They need something new and shiny to me. Not enought kit to enjoy. Feels like many half baked army sadly. Warcry: Yes ! Yes ! And so many yes ! I love me Ossiarch so much. Only thing that i fear is the unit in AoS would feel kinda weird with that many different model in one unit. I wish they split them in as much warscroll. I waited for an Ossiarch warband to jump on this game...might be the right time now. AoS 4th: On the rules/edition: enjoy index just because it will allow me to download rules and try to tempt à friend to jump in haha. Skaven enjoyer I'm glad for you and really..if they redo Eshin clan I might join the Vermintide(..or Vermindoom ?). Can't wait to see the new models..ecen the Stormcast because they became an acquired taste for me over the years. Lady of ruin...instant buy...enough said. Great center piece. I don't mind if the Darkoath were revealed earlier. Still enjoying the news as quality is better than quantity and this show was better than most reveal so far to me.
  5. They maybe jump really high ? Or like a flying squirrel ? I buy it anyway. If the terrorgheist can fly, these things can too.
  6. Where you see gore, I can only see a lustrious wiig fitting for a glorious servant of the illustrious Summerking..... ...And my glasses are fine !!
  7. Hey I'm an Ossiarch fan boy how dare you sir ! 😜 Yeah as @Luperci said that's quite a common theme around AoS (but death does it better haha ). I wish a diorama too with all of them in a battle of books and laws. Damn I might collect them all to guard my own book shelve. That FeC is pretty good and audascious. Something I'm always enjoying when I look at the AoS range. The gut wiig is just perfect. I might succomb to them and sell my vampire instead...damn I was eyeing on Nighthaunt...my poor wallet.
  8. I'll just call that character Mike..and already picture him like : *In a era full of ravenous hordes, wild animated forests and lands desacrated by foul rituals, with Orion returns, Morghur awakens, and Grombrindal uniting the Duardin...sometimes... there is a guy..a guy that perfectly fit into the setting...that's Mike. Commander Mike of Anvilgard was always fated to do things..not great things mind you..but things that might have led his forces to victory..sometimes. He's just that special. He's mostly.. there...you know ? Like...wow... impressive already right ? During the battle of the Boneward Cleaver that saw Bastian Carthalos and Krondys facing Kragnos' forces, his famous speech to his company of crusaders, consisting of ..not one..but ten brave..men, echoes in eternity : "Alright lads...we must do what we gonna do innit ?"*
  9. This had been the case for 40k. Maybe it'll be the same for us. I bet on malerion elves instead of chaos duardins. And I do not see what could come instead of these two heavily anticipated forces. Personnally I miss the 2nd edition army release where you could expect a new army coming up right after a big annoucement during the edition. I remember how I was excited when they annouced Ossiarch and Idoneth (less excited by the others but where still great). But I understand the frustration one could have waiting for an improved battletome made for the current edition, and the anticipation for a new unit/ character.
  10. OBR are typically my grandpa' : "I don't need IKEA instructions ...I'm a grown man !". And somehow after you end up with an Mortek Crawler instead of a fine Bjőkl chair..
  11. Seraphon preview up , this Kroxigor looks awesome:
  12. Like the Warmachine keyword which serve no purpose ? 😁 I don't disagree with your opinion at all. I'm also in favor for more keywords to really add to what is already going on with infantry/monsters and heroes. Nothing too complicated but something to really make a distinction on battlefield role. Right now, cavalry is just something that isn't infantry and has better movement. Just as an exemple, the damages impact that they pretty much all have on their warscroll could have been a generic rule for every cavalry unit. Just a thought.
  13. Erf can't find where I've saw his post....but it's very possible that I misread what he wrote back then too 😄 (Without counting that I wish the pocket realm made of Bretonnians/Wood elves by Lileath is still existing....)
  14. Yeah all elements points to a conquistador-esque style for Cities, except the shields that have a bretonian look to me. It is as the leaks said.
  15. Same for me...oh well time to scult some fur on shoulders at least.
  16. Destruction will get what Death had (And necrons in 40k so both setting are affected). Being the big bad in the starter box with a lore on how they are on the rise, Seasons of war settled in their realm eventually, and the epilogue, Broken Realms style, in a book or two before we jump unto a new big bad on the rise... Ultimately I got the feeling that Death and Destruction are just side bosses and that Chaos and Order are the major contenders. In a galaxy far far away Death and Destruction would have been the Separatists and the Hutt Cartel...but the focal point has always been Sith against Jedi.
  17. I didn't realize...a mega gargant at the price of a 2 players game..... For 4 copies of Kill team you can have a Mega gargant army now....😑
  18. For actual AoS rumors I think we're done until StD are out: -October is 40k's 35th anniversary (...I feel old now) and the end of the year is packed with 40k stuff (Imperial Guard apparently). -Next year is 40k 10th edition. So we got until summer 2023 to have something to see. -And that's not counting on World Eaters release that come before 10th..and..maybe..a serie of books ala Psychic awakening (the 40k Broken Realms...but less impactful). Don't know if they will keep releasing those series. Again my thoughts are based on everything I see on the internet....and everything is 40k rumors only right now. Surely because big dates are coming for this game. Adds to that the fact that there is no big rumormongers channels for AoS (we haven't got any leaks of battletomes ..not the one 40k had..) lead me to see the future of AoS as foggy (not saying that it will be bad..just that we can only guess...) where 40k have a pretty clearly leaked release schedule..
  19. Missing Soulblight and Slaanesh but that's it yes. So 10 factions to update...not inclusing new ones and seasons of war things. My guess is there will be 6 or 7 tomes in 2023 and then the remaining in 2024. Even less in 2024, because there is the 10th edition of 40k coming in 2023....and there will be one tome coming at the end of the 3th edition as usual.
  20. Honestly...if there will be a Soulblight warband, I wish it's more mortals death cultists than undead minions. It would be more original for a Warcry band to highlight the possible subjugation or domination that vampires can exert on humans. Neferata and Mannfred have mortals following them blindly as some sort of demigods. It's not new or unseen before.
  21. I liked Nagash since Fantasy so I'm not advocating for it but, maybe someday GW will split Nagash into many different personnas. It has been said in BL books that Nagash is revered in many forms in the realms. He could split after his recent loss... The problem is that it could make Death look like Destruction :many gods tied to GorkaMorka. Plus we already have a Nagash miniature... Personnaly I never understood why people want a faction of Death led by a Death divinity...into Death allegiance...that are against Nagash. I can see the appeal but this faction belong to Order then...not Death. Because every allegiance has infighting but ultimately are allies against other allegiance. Not here because Death is...ultimately...Nagash and pals.. On the other side..if allegiances are split....
  22. I would have put Idoneth in Death and Fyreslayers in Destruction... Beastmen in Destruction too but that's just me. I understand the arguments why they should stay in Chaos.
  23. Part of me wish that Gw steamline rules for unit roles, like this Bond rule for infantry. Maybe the "Mortal wound on a 2+/4+/whatever if this unit has charged during that turn" will be the one for cavalry. I have no complaints about thoses rules right now. I need to try these before making any judgment. Something that I'm sure however is that both my zombies/mortek armies will surely not play as they did.
