Digging the project. I love dragonforge bases, but the time it takes to get them in always kills me. If he got stuff out quicker he would have made a couple house payments off me.

Awesome job all around, great paint job, great fluff. A plus hobby work.

Love the Scuttleboss, really like the deep orange tones. Keep the Trogg and spider love a coming.

Fantastic work! Love the skin tone and great conversion.

Looking good, I always like to see ghosties that branch out from the usual spectral paint scheme. When you get time post up your other Nighthaunts, always like looking at other ghost boys.

Good job, love how these are looking. Clean work with solid basing, just all around superb. I also like the skin variation, it brings some visual interest to a unit I feel can be a little bland or samey somethings.

Thanks for writing this up. Lots of good insight here that many hobbyists can relate to. Hope you get a bunch of hobby time in 2019 and enjoy all of it!!!

Good job on all your stuff, I particularly like the Nighthaunt models. Really like the worn rust effect on the metal. Keep up the great hobby work.

Love how this army is developing! That AGK conversion is pretty sweet. What body did you use, I do not recognize it?
I used one of the acolytes/war priests from the War Alter Of Sigmar Kit and slapped some of the mini Vargheist wings on him. Was fun working and painting him up.

Liking the look of the army, even if it was a speed paint. What are you thinking of adding? I personally love Lady Olynder. She is both a sweet model and a mortal wound machine.

This is one of the reasons I think AoS was the right direction for Games Workshop to move in to. Smaller armies, and stretching the narrative in new directions has really given a boost to creativity I believe. Moving away from rank n’ file means each model can be unique, and have a greater dynamic options.
I still miss many aspects of the old world and games... but after 30+ years of Warhammer Fantasy, I never expected to be actively excited about the possibilities again. Armies like yours really crystalize the possibilities for me.
No doubt. That is why I have really come to love AOS. It seems that the fluff and conceptual range is turned way up. I mean the armies that could possibly be released in this setting are fantastic. I can not wait to see what GW comes up with.

Love the conversion, digging the theme of this whole army. Also nice job on those wings, nice transition from that rich pink color.
Thx I have really enjoyed this project so far, although painting 80 or so Ghouls is slowing down my enthusiasm a bit. That pink is Scale 75 Orcish Dermish, it is quickly becoming one of my favorite colors.

This is absolutely wonderful! Such a great way to add colour and interest to a horde army. Really enjoyed reading the fluff.
What are you using for the bodies of the basic troops? Look forward to seeing more.
Thanks. The fluff of the FEC is just so evocative that I wanted something that showed a little more of that great flavor.
For the average Ghouls I have gone with two different body types. The ones on the left are from the Flagellant kit, the ones on the right are from the old Bretonnian Men-At-Arms and Archer kits. I will throw up some more picks of them when I get some of the units done.

Bishop Basil the Pious, leader of the devotional clergy of Saint Simeon. This is one of my Abhorrent Ghoul Kings on foot who goes into combat carrying a reliquary supposedly bearing a finger bone of Saint Simeon himself.
And the other pic is one of my basic Ghouls, the rank and file of the militant orders.
