  1. Looks good, might be worth thinking about painting the wheel rims metal to fit in with the mortar carriage? While there aren’t sculpted metal strips there I can see them putting a thin metal band all the way round that wouldn’t jut out too much.
  2. Fantastic work! Each warband is really cohesive and distinctive!
  3. Great work! Good old Heroquest. 🙂 Flagstone bases are great too!
  4. Just watch out with your stripping agent that you don’t mix water in as well - e.g. pure Dettol bath and the paint comes off nicely (with some scrubbing), Dettol + water = horrible sticky goo that both stays on the mini and gunks up your toothbrush. Definitely worth watching a youtube vid for that one before jumping in.
  5. Yeah if you look at cool armies online they almost always have the base rims painted in the same single flat colour, which really helps to unify them as an army. Keep up the good work!
  6. Looking good! I think painting the base rims would go a long way towards making them look fully finished, so if you weren’t planning to do so that would be my only real suggestion! Love the patterns on the eel/shark skins in particular. 🙂
  7. Great soulsnare alternative, instantly recognisable!
  8. Off to a great start! There’s gonna be some amazing Gloomspite armies during the next few months I expect - the models are just so characterful!
  9. Ooh, is that some kind of dedicated mini painting app? Or just great note-keeping. 🙂
  10. Looks great! Although (better to say it now) the tongue looks like it might be susceptible to breaking off later maybe...? ?
  11. I’d be more than happy with that even if I had 20/20 vision (which I don’t). Well done!
  12. Congrats, always satisfying to nail a deadline! ?
  13. I used the older straight GW flying stems with the pegs - clipped off the nubs underneath the eels and drilled a hole there instead. Worked pretty well (especially as the shattered dominion bases I was using have holes underneath you can also drill though and stick the peg into, but you can do it with any base really).
  14. Thank you! Yep absolutely, the overall finish especially on the aelves is quite dull and I might go back and highlight at some point, the primary goal initially was to get to some level of paintedness across everything. But telling myself that gloom-dwelling seafolk would be dimly lit around the edges anyway did help me get on with things at least! ?
  15.
