A release this fast sound to me like something went wrong with another product and they had to fill the gap

Only one day since they showed it off its already announced for preorder and both 40k books haven't even been announced yet as far as I know

Today's pre orders contrasted with what's been delayed makes it seem like there was a bunch up in the supply pipeline (maybe the ever given incident or the port issues?) That either resolved or they found a workaround for so now weve got stuff that was announced before delayed (chaos tome) behind stuff that just got announced that they have found alternative shipping options for (red harvest, bloodbowl).

I believe the 40K codex where roadmap for release in December to begin with, remember BT have not been fully release yet and are suppose to be release in November

Wow Red harvest is going out for preorder next weeK

This is how they should do it with a lot of things! No teasing for a year (Lumineth), but rather announce and then release.

Ok.. maybe one week before is a little bit short, but rather that than several months in advance and then delays.

anyone have any idea of what the tome sentinel for november will be?  I feel they usually have the preview around the end of the previous month, but I don't recall if they announced this one was completely delayed?

I thought they might have been actively waiting until after the preview so we didn't know another tome not expected to be updated anytime soon or something..

I don’t know but this new box looks to be really expensive just by looking at the shear amount of terrain in the box.
like catecomb it may not be design for new players but for the existing players who want to expand.

the problem with Warcry is that it get irregular releases compare to the other specialist games and doesn’t have a set schedule. The last significant releases for Warcry was last year with Catecombs and the GA books

Yeah, they need to push it more aggressively. 2022 will be its 3rth birthday, so new edish in summer, like Killteam?
Anyone knows something about the competitive scene of warcry UK or America?

Not sure if there is one, I know Killteam had a big tournament not that long ago but not for Warcry. I believe it hard to establish a competitive scene for Warcry with out comping the scenarios/ deployment cards. The game itself seem more gear for casual play since there a lot of RNG and imbalances

That's how it used to be during the Kirby era. You had no idea what was coming out until early White Dwarf copies leaked.

It wasn't popular.

Did anyone else notice Blackpowders 'handgun' is a Kharadron Overlords Double Barrel Aethershot rifle? The immensity of this lad!!

All of ogors fire arms aren’t crafted by them, so it really isn’t a surprise.

this guy is vastly less pirate than the old man eater. If anything he is closer in resemblance to the trench coat maneater

Who said Kharadron wouldn't get models when they will be cut up with other dwarves? We had a guy with no rules last year, a character in the unavailable Cursed city this year, and weapons that get scavenged by Ogors!

Shadowstalkers sold well enough that they were out of stock in the US for a bit

Not really talking about how well the kits where being sold but more like i thought it was a good step forward into branching out the newer Warcry  warbands among different armies but then red harvest happen so RIP that theory

There is basically no comp Warcry scene. Majority of warbands are relatively balanced but the outlier warbands (skaven, basically) are so good it makes the game trivial. Also a lot of warbands basically play the same, with 1-3 heavy hitters and 10+ chaff models.

Many of the also make no sense for certain warbands and you basically auto lose with certain set ups.

No one has yet devised a comp ruleset is the main issue. Probably wouldn't be too hard, but the game has relatively low playerbase and tends toward casual players already.

It's pretty fun even without the comp stuff. So long as you don't do something like play skaven against iron golems, it's generally fun.

Sorry that was a vague comment, I agree with you and it seems like sales numbers do too

Wait what?

Skaven are a competitive option in warcry?

I thought They where doing well when they introduced the Shadowstalkers. I am surprise they didn’t keep making warbands for different armies not just for S2D

I wouldn’t mind a clan eshin ninja warband.

would help the ratman players with having some good proxy options for the less great looking models

I mean if someone would ask me who this guy is:

id say he's a dwarf.

He is just a bit bigger then his fellow dwarfs, nothing to worry about

He'd make a great mercenary ogre working on a KO sky ship. Maybe my admiral had better tell his crew to start salting all that sky kraken meat ready for a hungry new crewmate!

The wacry box looks great. I love the terrain. Glad it's not a new edition, as others have said the game is in  great place for casual and narrative pkay. We need campaigns like this and catacombs more than a rules update. A new edition probably won't fix anything anyway, just force us to re-buy the rules.
