  1. So I’ll be taking part on an Event next Month. Since I won’t be able to get much painted up till then, I decided to go with a clan skryre fun list. There is not much of a strategy behind this list, and I highly doubt that it has any chance against a lumineth army. But it could work pretty well against a Sons of behemat or an Ironjawz army, as long as those guys don’t get a double turn and I’m able to roll something good. well in any case the worst thing that could happen is in me loosing basically every unit in my army through my own miss-haps. It can’t get more hilarious than that
  2. I wouldn’t be surprised, if lumineth would lose around 80-90% of all of their warscroll abilities, considering how the last new battletomes came out
  3. Well if we can’t be for certain till it is released, yet I did hear that warhammer fantasy army project seems to be a good alternative till it arrives

  5. Yeah let’s ban nurgle, no pestilential santa claus is allowed in our ratty hidy holes. And to make it upt for all those skaven players, shall we increase the min. size of stormvermins and plague monks by another 10models
  6. Actually, I do like the fact that skaven are basically almost unable to to ally with other faction. it kinda fits the thematic. Yet not being able to take stormvermins and clanrats in a specific clan as battle line, doesn’t quit make sense
  7. I’m actually hoping that the whole battleline system of the skaven gets a rework in the next battletome. Something like clanrats and stormvermins can be taken in any clan, and not break the battleline rule for the other specific clans
  8. That would be interesting. yet I’m not sure if gw will ever put any failcast or metal models in a skaven christmas box (doomflayer is currently only in failcast available)

That is true, yet I personally went for the most points efficient unit for damage in times of death, and currently that would be the clawlord. since this being can be buffed by his finest hour, this makes him an actually gotrek like creature, and considering that the Warbringer, can still put out a considerable amount of rerolls for all verminus army, I am currently seeing those two claw lords as elite and hero killers. With the brutal fury command trait and the things-bane artefact on one of my clawlords, this gives me an additional amount of damage against any heroic being or elite ubit. having plus one damage on up to 22attacks, makes this guy a literal beast in combat, for when he dies. This will even frighten a maw-crusher sitting on a 2+ save.

Shooting and a ton of damage potential. I currently noticed how amazing Clawlords are, when they die. With deathfrenzy, dreaded deathfrenzy on them, they are basically attacking with 16attacks. if you combine this with ”his finest hour” and brutal fury popped as well as the command trait of the warbringer and that all out attack, this would mean that this one clawlord will be able to deal 22attacls hitting on 2s wounding on 2s rerolling all 1s to hit and wound with a damage characteristic of d3. It may not sound that great since the rend is just -1, but when your literally almost always going to do 22 wounds before the save, a good amount of it will go through, even if that being has a 3+ save ignoring rend -1. For units with more models, that can throw out 40 to more attacks, devoius adversary will be rhe amazing trait of another clawlord. with this the clawlord, will in a lucky situation gain 10 or more attacks, in addition to his already 8 attacks. combined with double deathfrenzy, this clawlord will be able to put out around 36 (or more) attacks that will very likely all hit and wound (with the the same buffs mentioned above) So basically I’m going for the mini gotrek style cornered rat list.

Mate, just so we are clear, skaven are the only truly chaotic factions and therefore chaos incarnated, unlike those imposters like khorne, tzeentch, nurgle and so on, who clearly don’t have a shred of randomness in their army, and therefore do not follow true chaotic power, aka chaos. Also I don’t quit know the current status around the world, yet I seem to have met about 15 people in my area who stopped playing aos, because of the change to legion of nagash.
  14. Depends what kind of acolytes your building. but most of the currently conversion, I have seen are kinda pretty easily done. mine for example are made out if stormvermins and the irondrakes guns.
  15. Here are is one of my own thoughts, not very certain if it is unpopular, but anyways here I go: for skaven: doomwheel needs to get stronger, cheaper and more random. I would like it to work basically as a warplightning cannon. basically it can shoot out 3warplightning shots, that go into the nearest unit (friend or foe) that is not this doomwheel, a single dice is rolled to determine the strength of all 3warplightning shots. and the player using the doomwheels rolls 6 dice for each warplightning shot. on a roll equal or higher the first dice roll the unit (friend or foe) suffers a mortal wound. well that is mostly it. I personally loved the incredible randomness it had in warhammer fantasy, and would even betray-stab for it to come back
  16. - I want more randomness in the game. -I would like a increase in size for stormvermins, plague monks, skryre acolytes, plague censer bearers, night runners and gutter runners. -I would like to see the combined arms book for many factions to continue. (I was pretty angry when they chopped up my skaven into different clans unable to be officially played together, unless you were taking grant allegiance chaos, just felt wrong) -I would like to see armies in need of new models(like skaven seraphon) to take precedence of being updated or getting new models, then any other factions. -I would like the removal of 90% of the currently rule breaking rules from lumineth. (mostly talking about the war-scroll abilities) -Any non skavenplayer using a skaventide endless spell (spell in a bottle for example) should be rolling a dice to see if it doesn’t have any negative effects. on a 1 the model throwing the bottle Takes d6x13 mortal wounds and the spell does not go of
  17. Playing against deepkins is currently very hard for the skaven. currently nothing really works against them, unless the skavenplayer is taking a good amount of mortal wounds with him. But currently I would probably still consider stormfiends as the better option then 2x6jezzails. Jezzails are an amazing unit, yet, the current edition of save stacking doesn’t quite favor their sniping potential. And then there are the giant-things. you really want to shoot of a giant per round, if that isn’t possible for the skaven player, your next bet is to have some movement stopping power (like shackles with warpgale and/or dreaded warpgale) if that isn’t a possibility either I’m not certain a list can beat them. Lumineth are a hard choice too. Most of their list are either a 1drop or a two drop list, which makes it hard having the choice. the foxlist, while being very fast, are also able to basically kill 12 jezzails with out a sweat, at this point you would have to als yourself, if you either have enough bodies, that their shooting will fail to remove from the objective game, or if you still have any threads left, that could do some to a good amount of damage to them, but considering that the hated elf-things are anyways overruled (considering how they break every rule in the game) and the fact, that they might loose more then 90% of their rules, if we consider the last 2 third edition battletomes, I would probably not argue with them, but be excited, for the moment when lumineth gets worse. personally I think that our currently best units against most match ups might be warplightning cannons and stormfiends, if we are going for raw damage power. for a more hordy style of play I would very likey take 3Verminlord, a plague priest with heal, 2x60clanrats 1x20clanrats
  18. 40 sentinels in a 1000poins game. skaven weapon team bombs will love that combination.
