    The Troggoth Hag is definitely a piece I believe every Troggoth army needs. It's amazing as a model and amazing on the table. I rarely do such detailed eyes and faces but when working on a model that is the centrepiece of your army you want to spend some extra time just to make it special. 2017 AoS Painters Challenge, Entry 1

it's no secret I'm a fan of Skaven.  Recently, I became involved with a painters challenge at a local wargames club.  This challenge has been an interesting way for me to get back into the swing of things in terms of painting, as I tend to have periods of inactivity between picking up a brush.  The Idea behind the competition is simple enough, pick an army, build towards 1000pts in manageable blocks.  score points on how much of it is painted per deadline.  the first deadline caught

Hi all! I've been hard at work on the army, but my focus is a bit off so I'm going to do some updating and sharing. Weekly Hobby Update : 5-31-17

One weekend, five battles

Last weekend, I took a selection of my chaos forces for a round-robin tournament of games. Here's an overview, the links go to the full reports. Half the players were new to Age of Sigmar, so to keep it fun, the 1000pt lists were written as deliberately soft (although tell that to the guy who brought the Mourngul!), and we skipped Allegiance traits and extra abilities/items. Braggoth Beast Hammer in progress

Just a small update of my Braggoth Beast Hammer progression. From the pictures the gore gruntas riders were nice, but mounts' pose was too relaxed. I wanted to make gore grunta mounts a bit more dynamic, like I did with mournfangs, but it is VERY hard to convert these models. Therefore I settled with grunta riders instead, giving one Brute's left hand and other mournfangs leader weapon and changing their head position a bit. I really like the one with two weapons myself. Mournfang conversion WIP

I'm in the process of making a Braggoth Hammer battalion. I already had 4 mournfangs, so I wanted to make next models a bit different to get some variety. Currently I have 3 gore gruntas, but when I get the other 3, I'll make something similar with them. If the result turns out okay.   I want to make some of them in rearing position, although repositioning their legs is much harder than it seemed. But repositioning the riders is even more difficult, because if a mount rears you lean forward

Club Day : Terrain Building

Believe it or not....Progress!!!

So after a slight delay due to life, we'r back, a Khorgaroth has been almost completed, a squad of Knights are being finalized and a Blood Warrior is making progress. As well as a health amount of undead robots.   The Khorgaroth has been lots of fun, so many different effects and textures, I've grown massively as a painter from working on him (i see this in my later works).  I've used my mobile for these shots, so they're not great. as always and C and Cs would be greatly appreciated

Rocky Terrain Project

With AoS and particularity now with Skirmish coming out I feel that more dense terrain on the table = a more visual, tactical and thematic game.   I'd go as far as to say the current (May 2017) GW offerings are pretty bad for positioning units entirely within them to take advantage of the bonus save.  The Wild Wood for example, whilst large enough to place a unit within, actually doing so is so fiddly because of the trees branches that hook onto everything, (especially Dryads ironically).
