The uprising had begun, Tzeench’s servants throwing off their disguises and donning their ritual battle robes. He was here to ensure success, if that was his master’s will.

A blast sounded from the left flank. A Heraldor emerged from the lightning strike and out his horn to his lips. Forutnately the damage was light and Carcarion waved forward the Knights who charged into the fray, cutting the lonely Stormcast down mercilessly. Their headlong charge had isolated them though, and two Fulminators eviscerated them all.

The host pushed forward, with Skyfires and Carcarion leading the way. On the left there was another mighty thunderclap and Retributors stood ready to deal out damage with their hammers and maces. Stanza, lead Shamen of the host barked an order to a unit of Skyfires. Their discs wheeled and flew towards the new threat. First they uleashed their arrows before charging in to finish the task.

The Stormcast general became the target of fire for the rest of the army, the Lord Celestant being sent back to the Heavens with his body, and that of his Dracoth, peppered with arrows and burnt by flames.

The Fulminators continued their destructive progress into the heart of the Neverending Host, trampling through a unit of Skyfires before finally being brought down my sheer weight of magic and fire. The Stormcasts, with their heart ripped out, continued to battle bravely. Carcarion ran forward unheeding of his fate, smashing Retributors and Liberators as they tried to form a line. He was sent back to the Caverns as the Judicators turned all their firepower upon him.

There was little the Stormcast defenders could do as the tide rolled over them. The city was now to be the plaything of Tzeench, until things changed.

This was the second 2000 point friendly game I have played with the Tzeench list and the second win. The Skyfires are beginning to live up to their reputation but I don’t intend to put any more in. I will take out Knights and Warriors and add more Horrors (I really enjoy the splitting and bringing in blues and brimstones) and some Enlightened to make a proper Tzeench list (with the addition of some Marauders). I will keep the former ready for more friendly game though. The harder list is in preparation for BOBO and Portsmouth Pillage in early August. Lots still to do. And there is always the issue of the new General's Handbook which could change things again.
