madmac
Just now, Neverchosen said: Also this just dropped:https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/11/claim-bloody-vengeance-as-a-rebel-kurnothi-in-warhammer-quest-cursed-city/ On topic with all the Kurnothi discussion! It's worth noting that this new Kurnothi model is a bit less out there than the underworlds warband, more Wanderer with horns.
pixieproxy
Speaking of Kurnothi... https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/02/11/claim-bloody-vengeance-as-a-rebel-kurnothi-in-warhammer-quest-cursed-city/
Chikout
Another awesome mini. That's six hits out of six so far. Cursed city is looking better and better.
Zerthin
Oh. Wood Elves are back. So... Can we expect 3rd Broken Realms book to be Alarielle and contain a new (returning?) faction of green aelves?
xking
Kurnothi are wanderers

JackStreicher
That's no Kurnothi though (no hooves!) I smell a rebranding of all wanderers incoming. Sonn they'll be incorporated into the new Kurnothi faction Awesome model! Edited February 11, 2021 by JackStreicher
Black_Templar_Lad
I really like that they've made the design consistent with the Kurnothi by having the same woven styled armour. Amazing sculpt, truly begun, the Wanderer/Kurnothi hype has.
dekay
It seems like a distinction between wanderers and kurnothi continues to blur (after a mention of hooves happening among wanderers and being seen as a blessing, in Beastgrave). That might be a good sign.

Sonn they'll be incorporated into the new Kurnothi faction Awesome model! They don't all necessarily need hooves. When Beastgrave came out, BL also released a short story "The Warden in the Mountain" that is about a group of Wanderers taking a test in beastgrave. Some of them have hooves and/or horns, which is taken as a sign of divine favor but is otherwise unremarkable. With this model, I'm pretty sure that's the direction they are going with. Kurnothi are going to be rebranded Wanderers. 1
Black_Templar_Lad
Doh didn't even read the title fully hahaha, so she is a rebel Kurnothi. Well I guess that confirms Kurnothi is the entire Wood Aelf faction name, rather than just a sub-sect of half beastly fellas. Unless that's already known and just completely missed it. xking
I'm calling it know, Broken Realms Alarielle will bring back(or lead to) the wanderers/kurnothi as their own faction. 3

dekay
New take: It would seem that the main distinction between Wanderers and Kurnothi, at this point, depends of if they returned to live with the Sylvaneth after Alarielle has forgiven them their betrayal. The new lady is mentioned to have lived in the place known only to sylvaneth, which would be impossible before Alarielle changed her mind.

This might be a sign that they're not going to be put into the sylvaneth, rather their own faction with new models + current wanderers models? Clan's Cynic
Notice she has no hooved feet. Fair to assume Wanderers will be rebranded Kurnothi in a future Sylvaneth tome? Edited February 11, 2021 by Clan's Cynic
Skreech Verminking
Why not just put the old wood elves the wood-things (sylvaneth) and those very weird half elve half animal thing into a si gle battletome. Bring back the old wood elve!!
King Under the Mountain
Oh wow another Elf.... Just kidding, I actually always had a soft spot for the Wood Elves and even got a Treeman and some eagle riders back in fantasy just to paint. I would totally be okay if Kurnothi become their own faction....after Dwarfs get some new loot and Gravelords
Neverchosen
I see a bunch of people posting about this model moving away from the Beastgrave box but those horns don't look ornamental to me. I still assume that the Kurnothi are the aelves that remained to protect the Fauna rather than flora and so began to resemble the beasts of the woods rather than trees. They're too perfectly curved/carved to fit her head, rather than protruding outwards from it. The Not-Centuar from Beastgrave (I forget his name) similarly has a helmet decorated with horns so it's not a new visual for Kurnothi if that is the case. Either way, the existing Wanderer/Wood Elf models aren't so far removed from her they couldn't be reused. I assumed its her own antlers, but really, it is a move away from the Beastgrave crew. She seems right in the middle, aesthetics wise, in between the Underworld Kurnothi and Wanderer range, hence the comment about possible merger.
