The Rumour Thread

Recommended Posts

For anyone who has seen spoilers I don’t want details but it would be nice to know if we are talking plot moving Morathi style lore, or anaemic psychic awakening style fluff? I can’t wait to get my hands on the book so I can read it for myself. It’s going to be a long week.

I've only glanced at the spoilers but I would say definitely Morathi tier of things happening.

Huge events that affect the whole setting. Arguably even bigger than Morathi.

It wraps up the Soul Wars arc pretty conclusively and sets up potential plot threads for the future.

Definitely closer to Morathi than Psychic Awakening's "stretch out a Codex battle paragraph into a whole book."

Ogroid Kragnos would be really cool! Does any of our forum loremasters know if Ogroids are purely chaos (haven't Ogroids so far been STD?) or have they any ties to other allegiances like Destruction?

Dragon Ogors are the obvious parallel to what you are looking for despite not being Ogroid's proper. That is why I am having my doubts towards Kragnos being an Ogroid, as there is already a Centauresque design for Ogor-like monsters. I could be proven wrong and wouldn't mind it but Dragon Ogors are a classic warhammer concept and it would be sad to see them lose some of their lustre.

That is also why I was initially hoping Kragnos would be a Shaggoth before noticing the hooves. 😩

they use to be part of the forces of Destruction but where too prideful to follow Gorkamorka so they turn against the GA. Gorkamorka then brought the full house of all  the Destruction armies upon the Ogriods so they had to flee (apparently to the Allpoints) and join/ or enslaved by Chaos.

I would like some Shaggoths running around, but unless this is a completely new Destruction army Kurnothi seems the other obvious choice (despite me not thinking Kragnos has the hallmarks of a Kurnothi creature) . Would maybe break the Gorkamorka focus of Destruction if a god(beast) leads a new army.

So their civilisation was destroyed and they most likely followed another god? Interesting...interesting indeed...

Went for the Broken Realms book. Really looking forward to diving in! Warhammer has been pure escapism for me this past year. Keep ‘em coming, GW! 🙏🏻

Literally the same mate, with nothing else going on my minds been on Age of Sigmar all year!!

Cannot wait for BR Teclis!! Looking forward to reading about the narrative going forward, I've done a good job avoiding spoilers and would hate to have them this close.

Feel like I'm going to have to avoid this page until I can get my copy, oh well, very excited

I may end up as well mate, there is a spoiler thread but users who arent too frequent or new blood may accidentally spoil. I did it for Morathi so may as well again!!

Is the Shrine Luminor on pre-order today? it doesn't come up in the US store.

It shows up in other countries' stores, but the Download link doesn't work for any of them to see the warscroll.

Have we heard any rumblings on when the next online preview will be?

There aren’t really ever rumours about when the online ones are, GW usually offhandedly announces them in a Sunday preview. But if I had to guess, some time in mid-April, since they seem to have become a monthly thing.

Had a discussion about the new Lumineth Warscrolls and the heavy shift towards shooting in the recent tomes. Is it possible that AoS 3.0 will shift towards a even more strict "Look OutSir" rule, maybe 40k Style?

Also, I am really happy for the whole Broken Realms Lore looking good so far. Morathi was an awesome release and really did some heavy lifting regarding worldbuilding /storytelling. Teclis seem on par with it from the first glimpse we have. I belive this has to do with the setting beeing more feasible compared to 40k's Galaxy-span in which the death of a whole world seems irrelevant.

I really hope so! Anything that helps melee armies will be well received!
