Man, does GW really have to let every developer with a license show up for this event? Some of these weren't even updates or anything, just some merchandise for abandonware titles and a vinyl

I know! Never heard of 'powerwash simulator' before but doesn't seem like it would be a natural home for 40k IP

Ngl but what I find weird about Realms of Ruin is when you see the SCE having a lot of different units (so far thanks to screenshots I've seen 7 excluding the heroes) and that's already more than the tabletop roster of non-hero Kruleboyz units.

Except if KB get new units on the tabletop or teases of new ones via the videogame.

I am conflicted as I was just assuming I would skip over the game but it looks pretty cool but only 4 factions is a major downer for me. So much of AOS is about the varied armies and I will be sad to not see all of that aesthetic diversity in game form. The good part is that four factions can feel more balanced and well thought out.

Oh my, that that Realms of Ruin looks tasty as heck. I honestly can't wait, from graphics to gameplay it looks very up my alley.

And Harry the Hammer for TWW surprised me, I adore him. With those two reveals, it hinestky feels like it's my birthday today. Oh, wait, it IS my birthday today, and warhammer games delivered.

Well but 4 faction seem to be the best starting number for RTS though and most  game I ever play either start with 4 or 3 starting armies (WC3, DoW, SC, even Total war Warhammer)

there always more that can be added in DLC of course like Dawn of war 1 and 2

Am i the only one thats not hyped to see old models returning? At probably double the price they used to be.

I get the nostalgia but imho old removed models should stay removed. I own a few whfb era models that got removed when AoS became a thing. It sucked when i just started the hobby and half my army got deleted. Dont know how i feel about those models returning. I just hoped the old world would be a completely new thing as an homage to whfb.

I don't think launching full brand new ranges for 9 armies was ever going to happen, especially for a specialist game. We didn't see anything at all like that for Horus Hersey.

It appears like they're starting with a mix of older kits and a few new kits, with plans to do more new kits as the game grows. That seems extremely smart to me. It means anyone who wants to play can start day one with a full army. That seems much smarter than slowly fleshing out just one or two armies at a  time over probably several years.

Wait, what about Kislev?  They did that whole preview for old world for kislev way back when and now they’re not in the list of supported factions, so I’m decently confused.

My guess is Kislev simply isn't ready yet. I imagine it will be added once teh initial 9 armies are released.

The most influencal RTS ever, Warcraft III, only had 4 factions too. Didn't stop it from becoming the GOAT of its genre.

It's not about the number of factions at launch, it's about how well they play.

I'd say starcraft was.

Also ya no way they would have a 2nd line of models for all the armies.  Many can just use the aos models as whatever they need but with the new larger bases.  The rest, a few new models to round out the old stuff.

So far TOW looks like it‘s going to implode, no pun intended. They really need more than what they‘ve shown. The HH had a tremendous amount of love and support and TOW looks like it has decent enough love but not enough support from GW itself. Frankly, I‘m not big on TOW and AoS co-existing as the success of one can be detrimental to the other and only some armies will share minis/resources but let‘s wait and see. But a couple of resin characters won‘t do it, even if the rules or the setting are great. I believe our group will stick to AoS (and I loved the old setting)… and I‘m old enough to habe played WHFB in its prime. Best case scenario is that they really reconsider and show some factions proper love but it seems unlikely unfortunately.

I think people are jumping the gun on this. They've shown us pretty much nothing yet. We don't been really know when the game is coming out or how much support it will have. I think its way too early to be making any kind of predictions about implosions (or success).

Yeah my excitement is pretty much based around the excitement of getting rules for existing models and the return of a fun game system. I do not exepect it to get more or less attention than any other specialist game system at GW... okay I expect everything to get less attention than Necromunda based on New Model Mondays.

Makes me wonder if the limited Kruleboy boss that was mistakenly sold too early at a recent event could be a tie in mini to this game somehow?

Maybe not, but it seems too early for them to have next years store anniversary mini all ready. Unless it’s a warhammer TV subscription mini?

Warhammer Plus does also use the Commemorative series packaging but if this is the next Warhammer+ mini it really doesn't seem worth the price

Could just be meant for a later event instead of Warhammer Fest

I might be hoping for too much but I'm hoping the reason that they're holding off on a full gameplay reveal until June is because it's going to coincide with a reveal for some more Kruleboyz units/models to come with the destruction themed Dawnbringer book. Mostly because Kruleboyz by themselves don't really have a large roster. Especially when it seems like Stormcast will be getting a decent number of their models in the game and in general it would be nice if Kruleboyz had a couple or few more units.

Again I'm probably hoping for too much, considering the first book hasn't even been released yet it might be too early to reveal more for the second book.

Powerwash Simulator actually has quite the fan following, and the devs even hid little nuggets to 40k in some of their maps. It's a relaxing game of steady progress. Getting to wash down a Space Marine Rhino or Dreadnought or something will be really cool. It's far from 'abandonware' and gets regular updates from the devs with new things to wash.

As for the other mobile games... yeah. Meh.

Excited to see how the AoS RTS plays. I'm worried when I see those fancy little waypoints on the battlefield as that reminds me WAY too much of Dawn of War 3, and that... is not great.

VERY excited for the new DarkTide content. I've put a lot of time into that game already and I'm thrilled for more stuff to do.

Still patiently waiting for darktide on console. Power wash simulator is surprisingly good and a pretty great fit for some 40k content. I really hope that Realms of Ruin is good. Total war has shown how much of an impact a good game can have on the popularity of the base game.  Would most like to see a Dragon Age style game in the AoS setting, or a Diablo clone. I was surprised how like AoS the Diablo 4 beta felt. Take out Lilith and put in Morathi and your halfway there.
