Warcry is a part of AoS just like Kill Team is a part of 40k.

If you like the narrative and lore of AoS, then you'll be interested in the narrative and lore of Warcry.

If you like the models of AoS then you'll be interested in the models of Warcry.

If you like the rules and matched play  of AoS then you'll be interested in the AoS rules that Warcry models get.

If you like AoS open play then... Well you get the point I'm trying to make here.

Warcry seems like a huge expansion for AoS on a number of levels and I for one am pumped for it

The things we actually do know about Warcry at this point aren't really that closely related to AoS at all I feel. The design of the new  Warcry models are clearly a step away from the AoS model range and a have a unique feel to them and so do not really fit into any existing army. Had I first seen them without knowing their origin I would never have thought they were connected to AoS at all.

And while Kill Team is a game system designed around using the existing model range Warcry is using it's own model range with the added option of using certain existing models which I feel is probably just a tacked on feature to satisfy people who complain about the all chaos range.

Also we know next to nothing about the rules or even what type of game it is going to be except that it is a skirmish game. This game's impact on AoS is probably going to be on a similar level as Underworld.

The best way to think about it as a AoS Necromunda or Mordheim. a specialist game in the same universe.

I doubt Warcry has any true bearing of an AoS expansion like Malign sorcery or Forbidden power, and it  not looking like it going to be at the same level as Killteam either.

*Screams in Sigmar*
We just got away from the conversation of the price increase but honestly we don't really know. My guess though is they won't for now and there will be new kits (and sculpts for old kits) with a higher price point when they get their tome. But they could also pull a Skaven and they get nothing new (other than the new hero, spells and terrain), which would be a huge missed opportunity imo (just like the skaven realse) since the realms and the cultures that live in them are so different.

Sorry about raking it up, I only joined yesterday, so wasn't able to ask sooner.

I mostly hope we get meaningfully different ways to play, with new sculpts and heroes second (thoigh these could tie into it). Then terrain, and spells a distant last.

Perhaps batallions, generals or heroes that let you take Devoted, College OR Ironweld and give them Free Peoples keyword (and add Free Peoples keywords to their buffs).

No Dispossessed so I don't care. I honestly don't care about any Sigmar release besides Dispossessed. Every release besides Dispossessed is just another grudge into my very large book of GW grudges.  Warcry is just another release spot that should be a Dispossessed release, there is no debating this.

Rumour hounds unit - remember as the time ticks closer to warcry be vigilant! Your Rumour thread needs YOU!

Remember to quiz your local store owners, to hound the shop assistants and keep an eye on the back door incase any boxes, deliveries or sneaked out price lists slip into the wild. As we get closer the circle of information grows, those in the know increase and thus there are greater chances to bribe/torture/blackmail/coerce and generally badger until they give in!

Guys, did you hear anything about the availability of out of stock contrast paints? I am still wayting for main colors: for ex. Gulli, skyish, black, grey, ....

GW stores seem to be getting a regular resupply, but the website - funnily enough - seems to be getting them last out of everybody.

The winter FAQ came out on a Monday, so we may get the summer FAQ on the 8th.

This has the best odds of any other rumor being true!

Odds rumor is right - 1 in 7 FAQ will be released on *A* Monday 😁

Is it just a slightly cheaper point of entry for Underworlds?

Partially -  £20 has been mentioned as a price, not sure how reliably - but also a potted version of Underworlds that can be sold outside of the usual GW/LGS avenues, in bookshops and nerd cruft stores and the like.

I’m looking forward to Warcry and hopefully for some news today however Warcry is not AoS and I’m more interested in the main story line rather than alternative sculpts.

Hopefully the 20th will hear more about a new battletome or waves of miniatures but more importantly a hint or something about plot progression. Not long now, just 2 weeks

Really good question I asked few days back, it seems 40K got most of the spotlight at the moment. I would expect things to change in the following weeks...

Warcry next week I assume, since it looks like they're clearing everything else out of the pipeline this week.

Relieved for Sylvaneth to be out so we can finally look forward to previews on the next battletome.

Yep I'm fully expecting to see at least one battletome preview at the event on the 20th. Even though Warcry will dominate, Sylvanath coming out means that there is now nothing on the radar for AoS that we are aware of which hasn't got a nearby release date set in stone.

It has to be or else they will miss their July release date if they wait one more week.

as more hounding our Store managers for rumor, mine thinks that GW are planning to rework the Seraphon Saurus range
