  1. Well since the "death" of Greenskinz, could always use Greenskinz as Bonesplitter count-as if you want a more traditional looking orruk force? Hordes of normal orcs back by elite black orcs of yester year. (and you know to be fair old O&G had savage orcs with night goblins, a smattering of wolf riders, a black orc here and there, the odd snotling pump wagon if you felt lucky) I wouldn't worry too much about the combined force being too powerful? I mean it seems balancing 2 'factions' in one book is a lot easier than skaven (who have moulder and eshin in a bit of a rut). I mean when has more options ever been bad! (stop lookign at me SCE...)
  2. I was close, I was going off on a combined aelf force. Still, this is amazing! It's like skaven, but wth order!
  3. To be a little fair, this forum isn't a 1 to 1 match of AoS as a whole. For example our Seraphon topic here sometimes has no one posting in it for like weeks, that doesn't mean there aren't plenty of seraphon players. (In fact the last post was July 11th, a full 8 days ago)
  4. It's halflings, but x8 the size! 😛
  5. Top one is a weirdnob shaman with a mask. Bottom appears to be a normal Savage Orruk with altered weapons and a skull mask.
  6. BoC is a bit tricky. They have decent-good units for sure, but it's not as "point and clicky" as other factions. Use movement and positioning to outwit and outmaneuver, but generally don't try to rush up the board and expect to grind out opponents. Unless you run them as slaanesh or something.
  7. While it'll only protect one thrister and take up an artifact, maybe Ragged Cloak?
  8. I'd imagine whenever their new book is. Which is probably 2-3 years out? Outside of some extra VS box. Maybe try to find creative ways to convert/kitbash?
  9. Delicious Hierotitan! I remember that conversion kit.
  10. Though that being said I can understand it seems strange that GW should be more attentive and responsive to this kind of stuff. Like old GW I get it, they really hated any criticism (I think I remember they tried to have a facebook or twitter but everyone used it to attack them so they deleted all the comments) but new GW appears to be more open minded with things like "the big faq" and yearly point changes. Yet there are very odd decisions with not much explanation, like how Rockgut Troggoths went to 140pts but Chaos Bullgors are still sitting at 160. (I still love you bullgors)
  11. No offense but isn't that kind of the entire history of warhammer? People find best army X then exploit the every living heck out of it. I mean I still remember 7th edition Chaos Daemons, that was like what 10 years ago?
  12. I think at this point it'd be easier to hope for a plastic hellcannon than a proper FW overhaul.
  13. To be fair the same could be said of AoS as a whole in terms of updating warscrolls, especially ones that basically have not change since the creation of AoS.
  14. Even 40k they are in an odd state with many of their rules being half dipped in the original Indexes. Though apocalypse has somewhat helped. (also for some reason the ork warboss on a bike...does not help warbikers?)
  15. Lots of expensive goods are made in china/asia that you would think consumers would get for cheaper, like brand name sports shoes. While it is a simplistic view of economics (sometimes I wonder how I got my masters), differentiated/brand name products provide some amount of monopolistic power of pricing. Thus gw can somewhat do as they please. This chart thingy
  16. My Ideas are a little tamer than others be but some weird ideas I had floating in my head
  17. Maybe chop up some parts from Plague Ogors/Troggoths? (also on a side note, rockgut troggoths went from 160 to 140. Must be nice....*stares at bullgors*)
  18. Pull off a 7th edition and bring the concept of "kill the first rank" before they can do anything? I do think wound remaining x2 for objectives sounds like a good start though, certainly help BCR. Also maybe bring back Fear/Terror? Give to hit penalties, more models fleeing, straight bravery debuffs. Am I just trying to make WFB 9th?
  19. Well they did finally FAQ it Q: Is the Coven Throne treated as a mount? A: Yes. In addition, the Handmaidens and Spectral Host are treated as mounts for rules purposes. And even then, in 2.0 they have introduced the concept of companions which is now the definitive answer of non-mount extra models. Except things like daemon weapons for obvious reasons!
  20. I thought that was still a rule in 1.0/1.5? I definitely remember people arguing about the coven throne not counting as a mount back then. The only major change in 2.0 is the introduction of "Companions" that are clearly not mounts but also not the main model such as the flesh hound with the mighty lord of khorne.
  21. I like the idea of a unit draft. It's like mtg or hearthstone!
  22. Well theoretically 32mm based infantry can fight using the gaps between each other. Though without a purpose built movement tray you'll have to do it all manually and some people find that too "Gamey/time eating". Honestly the idea to give everyone an extra 1/4-1/2 inch range would make 32mm bases being the standard a lot easier. (or also use MM ranges, like 35mm range for short, 70mm for long, etc)
  23. Unfortunately to burst your bubble, with very few exceptions (such as Aura buffs), Items and Traits do not affect mounts or companions. Otherwise I'm pretty sure that vampire Coven Thrones would be far more popular.
