I heard (and this is honestly, genuinely real - from a good source, I 100% promise) that the new aerial battle rules are a precursor to large flyer kits being released for all of the major AoS factions. You've heard of cog-forts - well get ready for cog-fort-blimps! Flying spiders for grots. Flying mammoths for Beasclaw Raiders. Giant flying ghost sharks (that one's a dual kit for Idoneth Deepkin and Nighthaunt). Also, there'll be new terrain to accompany the release - Citadel Clouds.

You heard it here first. Keep it under your hat. Rumour... away!

Damn, thats an intersting one. Fits kinda-sort of to what a bird told me - GW reportedly is working on a way to get rid of the dreaded Flying stands whilst still keeping the impression of the models beeing in mid-flight. In all honstness, its a rumour from few years back, so I don't no what its worth, but with Jamies rumours ther might be something to it.
On the other hand, it might just has been the new Nighthaunts.

In a Months there should be new rumours, Warhammer fest Europe here we go.

As we seem to be in a bit of a rumour dry patch at the moment, here's a quick list of what is appearing soon and what is rumoured to appear soon. I've included other GW releases as it will give people an idea when we might see stuff...

JULY

• Kill Team (40K detailed skirmish game) - [confirmed as Preorders are this weekend]
• Rest of Stormcast and Nighthaunt releases (AOS) - [Rumoured but assumed this will happen over last week of July for Pre-orders to finish release]

AUGUST

• Adeptus Titanicus (Specialist Games - Game with titans in the Horus Heresy) - [confirmed via Forgeworld/Specialist Games Open Day. Details in Aug White Dwarf]
• Space Wolf Codex (40K) - [Rumoured but confirmed it is happening in 2018 from UK Games Expo]
• Ork Codex (40K) - [Rumoured but confirmed it is happening in 2018 from UK Games Expo]

Also note the European Warhammer Fest is happening in August (17th/18th) so more rumours/teasers/confirmations will happen

SEPTEMBER

• Genestealer Cult (40K) - [Rumoured but confirmed it is happening in 2018 from UK Games Expo. Note this might happen in August but there are new models for this, so may have a grander release]
• Rogue Trader (40K Kill Team set) - [Confirmed it will come out in 2018 but may happen later in the year rather than September]

So lots of 40K stuff but not a lot of AOS stuff. This says to me we will see some stuff at Warhammer Fest being teased.

before end 2018: 40K greenskins  40K Genestealer cult, along at least two boxes, important release with new mini Abarations and the Gunslinger-Prime. From what we heard and have been shown, Orcs are bound to get new vehicle kits and somethink speedcult related late 2018. All hints point at  Gorkamorka as a boxed game and not a 'dex/compleat line overhaul - sadly

for AoS, Slaanesh, she has  more or less been announced but no release date (end 2018 for 40k with Fulgrim and his lads getting a comeback *ggg* and the AoS part popping in in January 2019, as with Tzeentch and Nurgle the years before)

 and that's pretty much it.

 

But, seeing how GW adds some specific endless spells for factions, we can count on new endless spells soon for our actual factions.

RT probably won't come in September, either GW is very bold and brings it in August or it will take up the taditional spot of Boxed games in late October, ewarly november, depending on whether Grokamorka is true or not. And August will bring us Cwador the next Necromunda Gang.

If we see Killtema this week, next week the rest of AoS, than a week* for both SW and Orc dex as well as Necro gang, followed by a week of Stealer, it would place AT right on time for pre-order at WF Europe, which is a nice spo to advertise again. Furthermore it would see all confirmed stuff to come before or right at the Fest, opening up spots for new and needed rumours and announcements.

*= note from here on that its speculation, thre dexes in one month would near neckbreaking speed, but doable - and sadly miss an oportunity for new SW and Orc releases. But thos are wishlisting to larger parts right now

As much fun wishlisting is, this thread is becoming nothing but wishlisting. Maybe a wishlist thread should be opened and people can have away with their crazy wants and needs. This thread needs to go silent till new rumours come around.

Part of the fun and games with Rumours is a bit of wishlisting because often they are things that get mentioned in conversations with no evidence. Even when we do have some evidence such as things confirmed at UK Games Expo (40K Codexes), we don't know when they are happening exactly.

I doubt we will see Gorkamorka as a set anytime soon but I think this summer and september will be 40K focused after the AOS2 release

Actually, I wouldn't bet money on Gorkamorka, but as there is a wheel of a buggy in the rumour engine, I included it in my list

I've only heard the Gorkamorka rumor from those French sources who were quasi 100& right about everything up to June. And the wheel rumor engine.

For me it's almost guaranteed..

I feel actual Gorkamorka would be a really weird character to get a model release - isn't he as strong as a Chaos god (pretty sure he's stronger in 40k)? I don't think we'll get a Gorkamorka model in the same way I doubt we'll ever see a model for Khorne, Sigmar, or the God Emperor.

Yes, thats an old GW game about tribes of Orks deserted on planet Angelis that fight each other while trying to build spaceship to escape. Rumors say that it's going to be rereleased with new ork models (new warbuggy especially).

While that is easily one of my all-time favorite GW games to date - I really don't see them reissuing it.  The only way that I could see that happen is if it was a single very limited release like the Shadow Wars: Armageddon box.  Maybe if they were releasing new Ork vehicles and packaged those in the box and just reprinted the rules as-is.

It was a fantastic game and full of humor & flavor.  But being just Orks it was just way too niche for the time period when it launched.  They eventually had to dump the stock by giving it away free with White Dwarf subscriptions.  While they have better marketing outreach now - I still think it would be too niche to find success as a real product unless they heavily changed it and brought all the other races into it.

If they rerelease it then I will buy it day one, but I just don't see it happening.

Yeah, I don't doubt that it will come eventually, but personally I don't see it in 2018. But so far 2018 had several positive surprises, so hopefully I am wrong

Certain

End of July into early August

Early August

Adeptus Titanicus with starter set, rules set, Warlord and Knights.

August:

Middle Earth box plastic box set and new rule books.

Cawdor gang and gang war 4 book. 

These are all the releases with pretty firm dates.

Also coming with dates guessed by me.

Late August or September:

Codex space wolves and codex orks.

More Kill team bundles.

Bloodbowl team

October :

Reaver Titan and warhound Titan. 

November :

Rogue trader (the trailer said winter)

Shadespire new warbands or new starter set. (we have seen some cards)

Delaque gang.

December

Has there actually been anything from GW about moonclan, even the smallest hint? Because so far all I've seen is people saying they want moonclan/grots to be next, then people repeating it as a rumour. Also people putting up fake Grot battletomes and getting people excited over nothing.

The closest thing to a hint I've seen from GW is one of the rumour engine pictures, and even then people are only guessing that is was grot related. (I personally didn't see the resemblance)

There was some kind of an oddly looking sword in the rumor engine.

it had a similar look like those weapon which are used by skaven or the swords being used by goblins riding those Squiks in total war Warhammer

There's been no concrete proof of a Moonclan release, but GW have said that Destruction would be getting something at some point (I think it was on a Warhammer Community Article), and the last Order and Death release were based on the two heralds. It makes sense that the Destruction release would be Moonclan related. That said, there is no solid evidence, and Moonclan has got very little lore-wise besides the herald (it didn't even get a dedicated page in the core rule book).

He has so far been one of the most reliable and prolific AoS rumour-mongers.

There is more to it than that. 

The most obvious hint is the cave shaman. The first two heralds both got armies based off them. The guy who painted said he was asked to redefine the look for the range. Why do that if they are not going to make more minis?

We have several rumour engines including the spores and the sword. 

Finally we have @LLV, the most reliable source of rumors around these days. 

Of course there are no guarantees and even if they do come, we might not see them till next year.
