    The Hag!

    By Eevika

The Troggoth Hag is definitely a piece I believe every Troggoth army needs. It's amazing as a model and amazing on the table. I rarely do such detailed eyes and faces but when working on a model that is the centrepiece of your army you want to spend some extra time just to make it special. This is surely the best work I have ever done on a models face and I think there is just a lot of character and emotion on the model.  My smaller Troggoths are just green and blue but for t

The Warlocks ride forth

Took a break from painting due to well, life. I’m now a grandfather! Lots of other stuff going on that’s not nearly as much fun, but I’ll save that for therapy. Anyways... warlocks. Love the concept, like the individual models... but I’ve been trying to get excited about painting them for years. My primary issue is that there is no real variety in their poses or gear. Individually they look dynamic, but as a group they’re a bit lacklustre, particularly when sitting next to models

Dreshnosa and Ezkha, the Contorted Epitome

95% complete, with the glazing on the mirror and the gems undone. See my entry on the Keeper of Secrets for an explanation on that. Dreshnosa and Ezkha play the Guzheng as a pair, the pentatonic scale a unique counterpoint to the rest of the polyphonic sounds of the rest of the Symphony. To be honest, I originally wanted to mount the Guzheng across their knees, as seen in Kung Fu Hustle with the two blind harpists. Unfortunately, that plan didn't work out, so I had to go with it on the

Lormora the Lascivious, Keeper of Secrets at 80% completion.

My Keeper of Secrets is around 80-85% complete. Weapons aren't fully done. Gems aren't done because I don't have the gem paints (local shop has a $5 for unlimited access to paints for a day deal, so I'm finishing every model that wants gems painted before I get them done to get my money's worth), but the left hand is fully magnetised for whip/hand/dagger/shield and the right hand is magnetised for spear/sword. The head is also magnetised, with the ponytail head being in two parts so it can

04/07/2019 - 1250 MPP Seraphon vs Tzeentch

1250 MPP Pitched Battle Seraphon versus Tzeentch Battleplan: Duality of Death Seraphon Army: Tzeentch Army: This battle is my first venture into playing one-on-one against someone other than @Gwendar, the guy that got me into Age of Sigmar. It’s also a rematch from two weeks ago, so I’ve definitely been looking forward to it. Additionally, @Gwendar offered to coach us, since the Tzeentch player had been having a rough go his last several games, and I was uncertain of my

03/16/2019 - 2K Doubles Match

May Sotek forgive me, I aligned with our mortal enemy, the Skaven. Servants of Tzeentch and the woodland terrors, the Sylvaneth fell upon us, as we were about to battle, forcing a pact of convenience to save our collective scaled and furry hides.Ok, that was my mediocre attempt at a short narrative for today's battle. My main opponent and I were going to play each other today, but had interest from a third party. I suggested we play doubles and a fourth competitor quickly emerged to fill out the

02/04/2019 - 1K Seraphon vs Wanderers

Had my 1000 pt game. Still playing the same guy and his Wanderers army. We played the Knife to the Heart objective map. I think I improved, but still definitely made some mistakes.Turn 1: I had fewer drops (Slann & Shadowstrike) so chose for myself to go first. I deployed my two groups of Skinks as screens against his Sisters of the Watch, while also keeping the unit of 20 within 6" of my objective. He deployed his Waywatcher, Spellweaver, unit of 30 Glade Guard, and unit of Kurnoth Hunters

750pt Battle Report:So, once again I made some critical mistakes in the battle. We know each others army composition going in and turns 1 - 3 basically ended up with my opponent turtling and me positioning Skinks and the Starpriest in what I thought could be useful positions. I even successfully cast the Palisade to allow for an advance on his turtling army. In these turns, I lost 2 Skinks from the unit of 20 and (not surprisingly) did no damage with the Bolt-spitters.Beginning of Turn 4, I deci

Battlereport:My game ended up being severely shortened due to the game ahead of us taking very long. We had about 40 minutes of play time, so I think the pressure caused some forgotten abilities, spells, etc.My opponent brought:Waywatcher10 Sisters of the Watch1 unit of Kurnoth Hunters with scythesI made the Skink Starpriest my General, picked Master of Star Rituals, and brought the Prism of Amyntok Artefact.Turn 1:I kept the Scar-Veteran on Cold One with the unit of Knights, to hopefully benefi

AoS Mission Helper App for Android

Hello, I programmed a little AoS Mission Helper App for Android a while ago which my friends and I use to generate our games. I'll upload the app for anyone to use for free on this forum once I can make sure I don't violate any rights of Games Workshop.   Since I've checked everything thoroughly and all the art is either copyright free (background image) or self-made (the rest) this app should not violate any rights. You can get your free Android App here: Click Me   A

Finished loads of ghouls!

Finished 40 ghouls- another 60 to go! Simple base coat/wash/drybrush for these guys so i can concentrate on the basing for the bigger models. Quick job on the charnel throne too- airbrush basecoat and shading then wash/drybrush. Trying some skin shading on the second Arch Regent and it looks ok...sorta.

FeC - Escalation League - 1k Week

My list: Game 1: Seraphon - Scorched Earth in Hysh Their List: T1 I finish setup first and (for probably the first time in my AoS history the last 2 years) decide to take 1st turn. I make sure to setup screens so nothing can teleport behind\to the sides and ensure my objectives are held. Spectral Host + Unholy Vitality go off on the GKoTG but Chalice is unbound... but it didn't matter in the end. I run the GKoTG 19" and get a long enough charge to make it behind the Rippers and

Squigalanche

I’ve gotten all the looncurse models assembled and I now a sizable Gloomspite Gitz army to paint up.  I’m waiting to get a red ink wash before I finish them so we will see how long that takes.   I was doing a little thinking and I’m thinking of having these guys come as a newly arrived faction to Arranoc that came while the isle shifted into the realm of life near the time the bad moon was near the area and after the moon left the squig herd found its way to one of the outer druid-kingdoms

The Vanguard-Hunters

Here are my Vanguard-Hunters of the Stellar Champions Stormhost stationed in Ulgu. They tirelessly explore the wilderness of the Coast of Fleeting Hopes, in a radius of several leagues around the city of Port Stellis. Their mission has multiple objectives. First, they have to fight and eliminate the fiercest monsters who sometimes prowl a little too close to the city. They are sometimes helped by motleys of aelf privateers who are always interested in capturing these creatures or butchering

Looncurse

I finally got my looncurse box today.  I’m pretty excited to get back on to working on Sylvaneth though I have started painting some of my Squigs.  Well anyway I took some pictures for anyone who wants to see.

Blood Bowl teams

I've really been into Blood Bowl and played/painted AOS much less, so here are my teams so far (2 on them commission, not based). If the upcoming Wood Elves team is nice, that's my next project. Edit: and for the record I added my Wood Elves team as well. Finally a shot from little Street Bowl league with StreetBowl Cup:

Symphony of Pain part 1

I'm starting work on some musically-themed Slaanesh, having been struck by how similar the Daemon Prince's pose looks to how my old conductor used to stand right before a piece started, combined of course with the fact that Slaanesh has the Infernal Enrapturess. So I built the Daemon Prince a podium and stand (pictures are before priming, will upload part 2 once I've painted) as well as a booklet with his score (unfortunately I don't have enough fine control to paint the scores onto the pag

Second Terrorgheist base

This is the base for the second terrorgheist. I really like how aggressive the terrorgheist pose is, sort of wedge shape with it's head near the ground roaring. I made this base to exaggerate this to an extreme- it now sits on a steep wedge itself, angled down almost vertically, to accentuate that aggressive pose. Around the back there'll be a Cairn Wraith escaping the crypt. Base coat was done with an airbrush, then used some AK enamel earth effects, washes and drybrushing.
