Do you think they will Release a new scyla when there is the awesome bloodbowl model?

It is a nice model for bloodbowl, but too cartoony for Age of Sigmar, he even wears socks.

He kind of reminds me of the aliens from the Looney Toons 90s Space Jam movie.

Also the Bloodbowl model is resin too, and more expensive than the warhammer equivalent.

Recent Dawnbringers story could lead also to a potential Kurnothi vs OBR

Dawnbringers have tons of seeds for the future I think.

If the next edition is going to do the payoff then we are about to enter the most mindblowing edition in the history of this game.

I hope so. Im a bit afraid its just a bunch of hooks for roleplaying purposes while keeping the mortal realms open for endless posibilities kind of thing.

Yes -I mean the return of Grungni during Broken Realms hasn't had much impact at all this edition, the only new Dwarfs have been the fantastic new Fyreslayer Warband and a couple of Characters. Could be a long setup or it could be seeding lots of possibilities the design team can explore or not in the future.

Woah! Literally fyreslayers got the worst army of renown! I prefer the maw grunta

yes,the worst army rigth now and get the worst army of renown, make sense.

copy/paste of firsts reviewers;

"I want to be very clear: this is not a good army to take. You’re not getting some sort of new meta Fyreslayer build out of this. It’s a different way to play with the army and if your main thing is playing matched play or anything even nearing competitive gaming then you won’t be using this."

Why bother wasting ink in such garbage? I have a dozen of armies between sigmar and 40k but I never get that feeling of a faction being that forgotten. Starting with the absurd points increase in this general handbook

But is it enough for a narrative campaign just dropping seeds? Book 1 and 2 have been quite vague. Specially if you compare them with their predecesors, Broken Realms. Prolly one of the best campaigns we got so far.

To get back on topic. I think flavourful but competitively weak is a better direction for armies of renown than the broken KO and SoB ones.

You think you have a banger of a post then someone hits you with the 🤨 and you remember to stay humble

But on a serious note, for expanding Death, instead of finding a new variant of walking dead guy, GW could treat them like any other race and make a new faction where the differences are in the aesthetics, lore, and playstyle. We've got plenty of elf factions and are still expecting more. We've got two dwarf races. Five different variants of "chaos guy with armor and spikes". We've got racial books like Mawtribes, but even though orks are all in one book they don't have to be. The separate factions in warclans are all the sizes of some other standalone ones.

We've got vampires, but vampirates could be their own book. Necromancers and zombies are in SBGL, but you could have a faction of Frankenstein-esque necromancers who don't want to serve the vampires and use twisted science to augment their dark magic. Imagine a faction of sentient zombies that are more like draugr and lean into a completely different cultural pastiche instead of the pseudo-eastern European one that SBGL has now. Bonereapers are like Roman samurai, what if we got a faction that drew from Indian or SEA mythology? Just "undead that aren't human" would probably be enough to set a new faction apart.

We got a couple of those specialists in here. 😂 I think Lord Alpharius‘ confusion is the true reason the Alpha Legion doesn‘t know whose side they support.

KOs is horrible too. 2 units and 3 heroes... yeah, spam as much as you can because there isn't anything more to play. Fyreslayers are the same, so, a big no-no for Duardin armies. And no, winning doesn't make something "good" to me, and it becomes worse if the army spams 5 or 6 times the same unit.

Btw, the Ogor Army seems good to me. Gutbusters and Gorgers keywords seems enough to build an army, and playing around a terrain is exactly the weird gameplay that this Armies of Renown should have.

We've already got, what, 24 factions in the game? How many more factions can AoS functionally support, when we're already on a situation where some factions go for multiple editions without the model and rules support they need?

I think they can easily support rules for all armies and more if they just accept modern tech. We are not in the age anymore that the only way of getting your army updated is through the paper battletome. Some tomes even got invalidated before they even got released. But this is a whole other discussion.
