Do we know what specific keywords we can give our custom Aelf characters with the custom builder  ?

Daughters of Khaine, Idoneth Deepkin, Lumineth Realm Lords, Cities of Sigmar

You can also give them either a command ability or make them a PRIEST or WIZARD for free

Also MONSTER if you give them a gargantuan beast

Is it possible to give your own heros artefacts and command traits. Or is it more like a named hero where you can not?

Would like to create some celestial vindicator hero that has synergie with that stormhost traits and artefacts for example. Would be good to know.

It's funny to see people slag off 4chan, yet at the same time they are begging for leaked points and rules. Its basically the best place to go for all that stuff and absolutely no rules against sharing content.

Anyway here is a top tip...

Go to 4chan.org/tg/catalog

Search "sigmar".

Click on aos general.

All posts are linear and sorted by post date. Previous threads can be found by following the links in the op.

We don't know yet!  I'd imagine they slot into your army like a regular hero, so giving them a factional artefact and trait wouldn't be an issue.

You can give them traits (they have the Hero keyword) and artefacts, but if your army has artefacts linked to  an unique  Keyword (like Admiral, Aether-Khemist, etc...), then you will not have the option to take them.

Another thing, you can't take any specialist keywords too (like Marine or Skyfarer), only Totem, Priest and Mage.

I love that tool and I can't wait to see what the people are going to do with it (btw, for anyone that want to use them in matched play, it seems that it's a bit UP unless you build utility-heroes).

So far it looks like upgrading weapons is the largest point sink. Getting a minor beast or mount is also very expensive compared to a gargantuan mount, it is only 70 pts difference between a lame goat mount and a dragon basically.

I very much doubt it will be relevant for matched play though, either not allowed or being too weak and pointless to bring in a matched game unfortunately. I do appreciate the option though and it is interesting to get a view into the "backend" of designing stuff like this GW comes up with.

I mean people are slagging it off for perfectly solid reasons, namely that you have to sift through a morass of racism, homophobia, misogyny, general awfulness... Even the parts that distance themselves from the actual fascists are still rife with all that. People hitting it up for leaks doesn't stop 'dumpster fire' from being a generous and polite way of describing it.

4chan is no more racist or homophobic than any social media site. If you go to /pol/ you will get all that stuff, but you would on Facebook too if you searched for far right groups. I've seen more racism this month in a cute dogs group on Facebook than I have in aos general in years.

Genuine racism or homophobia is normally ignored or even told to go back to /pol/.

You will find there are probably more LGBT and minority ethnicities on 4chan than on TGA.

Facebook is also immensely racist but no, 4chan is ridiculously OTT when it comes to racism/homophobia/transphobia/misogyny/ableism, the works. Acting like it's just a /pol/ issue is a classic misdirect too, this is all over tg as well. The most outright, openly alt-right members are insulted and told to go back to /pol/ but anything less than that is accepted as basic edgelord nonsense. It's a cesspool and that there's LGBT folks taking part in that makes no difference.

I also find it telling that you have to preface racism and homophobia with "genuine". Ironic racism is still racism. Acting like it's banter or a joke or just what channers are like does nothing to change the racism or homophobia inherent in the near constant and casual use racist or homophobic slurs on tg and elsewhere. It's the air they breathe.

Let's ask the real questions like what the hell are the base sizes for Hero Builder, its killing me.

(Also I browse 4chan all the time for info, its usually pretty good, but if you think people are going to behave on an anonymous board you've got another thing coming, just move along and accept it)

It's a narrative tool, base them however you feel is appropriate. Making a stormcast character? 40mm. Salves to Darkness? 32mm. If you're planning on matched play then surely anyone who is ok with a custom built character should be ok with whatever base size you decided to use as long as you're not intentionally trying to game the system.

Speaking of bases I wonder what extras are going to be on the sprues for the Mega Gargant!! Hopefully a road sign or two, maybe a broken carriage and hopefully some of Johanns relatives running for their lives.

If they don't have some sort of Johann 2.0, they'll really be missing a trick. I can't think of a single bit (i.e. random extra from a sprue) that's as joked about by both the fans and the designers as that. Maybe, like, nurglings in aggregate but for one individual thing, no way.

EDIT: actually the Gatebreaker has a Johann-looking chap in his hand but hopefully there's someone sprinting away in terror as well.

I'd say a Johann, Johanna or Chaohann on every sprue. Or a fleeing zombie.

GW did say there was going to be humans in the kits so I am hoping that the handheld manlings arent the only ones!!

A crew of Humans would be awesome, 3 humans per the 3 Mega Gargants in the kit.

I keep stating to my friends that I think GW could easily represent different races within the four god specific factions:

Khorne - Duardin, a tough heavily armoured unit with low mobility or an artillery piece would work well with khorne.
Slaanesh - Aelves, I personally want Malerion to fall to temptation, but I am cool with plain ol' Slaanesh worshipers too.
Tzeentch - Beasts, Tzaangor already fill this role
Nurgle - Skaven, once again this role is filled already by Clan Pestilens, but they could be fleshed out within Maggotkin a little better.

To be fair a really good expansion for the chaos gods would be expanding on the gors wise. Considering Tzaangors are objectively the best gors BoC have, would be great to give them some variety with Khorgors, Pestigors and Slaangors that on their own can create a small niche in an army and can be used across various armies. And I believe also in 40k and maybe 30k?

This would be great! It would also be cool if they took the Tzaangor concept and gave them distinct bestial traits.

Yeah each chaos beast could have a specific trait and be almost self sufficient. Tzaangors to be fair are almost there with a battleline, elite archers, elite wizards and a hero wizard. Just need something similar for the others...

@alghero81 this is such a good idea as it would bolster all four god specific armies and also Beasts of Chaos. Also as you mentioned they would also cross over into other game systems with relative ease. I actually think Warcry and Underworlds would be a good place to introduce these models.

Slaves to Darkness and Skaven... they can umm... get new models as well :)

Slaves can use BoC as allies or even create Chaos armies entirely made of StD with a pinch of BoC like the battalions... Not sure why would they do that although..

Skaven can have Skagors :)  I'm sure there's never too much chaos beasts roaming around...

WU and Warcry have unit size problems. WU in particular are good to replace models from existing units, less to introduce new ones, see the Tree-Revenant with a bow... Warcry has better sized units but no synergies, they are not even battlelines so far. This would create such a gap with Tzaangors to make all other Xgors third class gors...

Bad a man can dream... They already existed before, they are in the lore, Blood Bowl has a pestigor, so it's a so low-hanging fruit I cannot imagine GW never thought about that. Maybe as an update Psychic Awakening style while we wait AoS 3.0?

That is very true, but they do seem to use underworlds as a place to test new models and warcry seems like a place to expand armies between tomes. But I cannot argue with the points that you make.

But Warcry is relatively new and we only have Choas warbands currently represented. So we will see with the next wave of releases how that shakes out.

Speaking of that, where the heck are the Warcry releases? Warcry is such a perfect starter game, even fun solo which is great for a lockdown, but the releases have just stalled out. It's kinda smothered my enthusiasm.
