I think we've got a rumour engine solved with the kroot rider (so not for the Lady of Ruin) :

And I also think it's a Custodian character, not a kin. Custodes, Ork and T'au fit in perfectly way with codex's roadmap for spring 2024.

Ok. I just checked the roadmap and it probably is custodes. The model does appear to have a very kinlike crest on it though.

Also, EPUB versions mean that higher quality ones would flow over the net.

Yes, but I will buy them, as I want more TOW releases. 😉 They stopped providing ePub battletomes for AoS, probably because of this. So it seems they don't care that it will happen with the TOW books.

for AOS you get a code in the printed book to get access to it in the App (yeah, that's no ePub proper but still digital content)

But yeah, same as you !

Yeah, I know and I make my armies in the app, but still the full digital battletomes would have been nice for AoS. Like it was until AoS3. I woudn't mind if you only could read them in the AoS app to counter / slow down piracy.

The initial start of TOW rulebook wise will be expensive. Three books are needed. That said, when looking at the middle earth ruleset I think there will be no new version of the rules for the next decade or so. Even when succesfull. A static ruleset like historical wargames supplemented with campaign books is imo they way to go for TOW. Leave the 3 year cycle for new core rules to 40K and AoS.

I get the impression that there’s a tacit acceptance that this risk is less of an issue for Specialist Games, including TOW, because really you’re talking about a smaller playerbase. Less of an issue than a whole large tournament scene which kind of requires access to a codex or battletome so you don’t need to be as restrictive in terms of format, particularly when there’s already a degree of friction to access.

Also yay kroot.🙂

Whats really interesting is that this article doesn't come with a video. So we still have two hidden yt videos for TOW.

Which even if we get a looking at 2024 video for them still leaves one more? (unless thats not a new one of course)

One old world video could be blood bowl for an almanac or model etc, since it still comes under that setting, even though they hinted with “wild news” I am doubting this, but still possible

That's what I thought too back when the kroot kill team came out but 10th ed just completely killed that for me

This silhouette is the first thing to give me a twinge of excitement for 40K since 10th slammed on the brakes. I’ve got quite a substantial Kroot army, so new models are more than welcome even if it turned out to be a singular beast riding character.

Do these silhouettes resolve any more rumour engines or advent images?

The article says that there is ONE Advent RE resolved in those minis. I don't know wich one tbh.

There is an older one that is likely resolved by the kroot:

But I have not idea which advent rumour engine could be solved by them

The New Tomb Kings look spectacular, I hope they go all pit when they bring Settra back, full flying chariot wreathed in bugs, sand and trails of magic as it flies over head. He needs to be on par with Kroak  as Centre piece for the TK. The New Emmissary is gorgeous, and so are the Swarms, which brings me to a sour point-

We (At least I) Love Swarms, we need more Swarms returning, Seraphon deserve their Jungle Swarms of Lizards and Snakes! How cool are the Swarms in Cursed city! More Swarms please GW.

By elimination, I'd say this one belongs to the custodes :

I can't think of any others that would go with any of this three minis.

He has a cloth cape over his left shoulder - no fur.

I'm with @Ejecutor: either the bird wing, or the weird thing from the tenth, as a part of the Kroot-riding-Krootodile kit.

40k 2024 sneak peak just went up. Just three sillouetes. An ork, a squat (I think) and most excitingly a mounted Kroot.Screenshot_20231226-201047.png.8df31a4a273b2eafba262e078851806c.png

Oh yeah, baby!!! 🤘 Now we're getting somewhere!!!

I do hope they keep with tradition and this new beasty is a kroot subspecies. It's definitely hard to tell at this point. And damn do I hope the new krootox is like dankhold size. 🐔
