Like the Morathi speaking videos for DoK, or the fish for the Idoneth etc. I think that except the rumour engine and LLV's rumours, this time we had few things that pointed towards a reveal for a new faction. Well, i am happy that they at least included a slight tease for things to come. Infeston Posted August 18, 2018 Share Posted August 18, 2018 (edited) Jeah. As a Destruction player I am disappointed as well. Sadly no Destruction/Moonclan reveal. I sadly also got myself hyped up. I don't even play Grots and have accepted that Ogors won't be getting anything in a while, so I decided that I am rooting for the Grots, even though the greatest thing would be new Ogor miniatures. But we Destruction players need to stick together. So I am also disappointed. The Endless Spell also doesn't look like it could be anything Destruction related. At this point I would be happy if we simply got a new battletome so I could get anything to get excited for. ? I am still happy for the Death players getting something at the start of the year, because they have waited longer than we Destruction players have, but in the end I still feel a little disappointed. There's Orktober, AT and such releases coming up and chances are we'll be seeing Genestealer cults end of this month (since Spacewolves took the first slot I'd wager preorders next week are cultist codex and models). I don't think it will be generic. I'd wager that the hint as to "who this is for" makes it very specific that its for a faction. Which makes sense, GW released the generic endless spells in the big box and balewind; now its time for faction specific ones. A bit sadly it seems that they might be focusing on new battletomes gettnig the first wave of endless spell releases; which might mean that even recent BT factions (Idoneth and Daughters) might have to wait a long while to see theirs and earlier BT factions perhaps even longer. 1 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

By that he means more power armor emperors children, world eaters, and night lords lol. There was a vague "and other factions too" thing whatever that means. Malin Posted August 18, 2018 Share Posted August 18, 2018 Rules of GW seminars are: - there can be only one at an event, what will be shown there will be everything new there is to show, - expect unexpected, or something which was at least partially uncovered, - most of all do not build your hopes and expectations towards something in particular as big disappointment might happen, - try to enjoy revealed stuff, even if you are not going to collect it, few years back such seminars was something average hobbyist would love to happen Overall these are great events but it is very cautious to not build too much hope towarda certain reveals to avoid being disappointed. Been through this, so can relate, I know what you are goong through (Darkoath Queen reveal - weakest one for me personally) This time around: - Bull is such a horny and totally on fire piece, me want! - BB team - please bring Pestigors to AoS! - totally not 40k player - but for the glory of Mortal Realms or Gorkamorka himself, I do need those Speed Freeks cars in my life! 3 Quote Link to comment Share on other sites More sharing options...

But also have to admit I did it to myself by getting so hyped up by just some rumours. i guess after all the big releases lately i got a bit greedy for more, even though i am not a grot player nor intend to buy some. having said that. did anyone already spot any of the open rumour engine hints so far on the new reveals? By the looks of it at least some of them seem to fit the rogue trader models but havent found any exact match yet. Chikout Posted August 18, 2018 Share Posted August 18, 2018 Well I think I am going to take this event and NOVA collectively. Here is my review of part 1 as a primarily aos player. First the positives I am not particularly a fan of the aesthetics of the endless spells, but the bull is comfortably the best one yet. The idea of a new beastmen/brayherd/darkoath army is intriguing. The imperial side of rogue trader looks cool and they should make good conversion fodder for free peoples armies. It was nice to get definitive confirmation of season 2 of warhammer underworlds. I had no interest in 40k orks until I saw those vehicles. They are absolutely awesome. The negatives. Just one aos mini, no minis shown for underworlds. No concrete info about the next aos Army and nothing aos from forgeworld. Too much nurgle! No Delaque warband. This can all be redeemed if we get a full Deepkin style video for the next aos Army at Nova.
