The Rumour Thread

Death Guard is teased for September, so I doubt we will see many AoS minis in that release. (Unless we get some Nurgle crossover stuff)

Didn't Tzaangors and the new Tzeentch daemons were released along with the Thousand sons codex, or do I remember wrong? At least the rules were in?

Tzeentch release was Thousand Sons in December, Arcanites in January and Daemons in early February, i'd love to see something similar for Nurgle.

Fortunately we have that rumour engine pic of scuttly legs which are revealed to be on some big nurgle daemon beast in a 40k art piece, which means new daemons all but guaranteed.

Couple with nurgles conspicuous absence from the new handbook and id say its good odds on a book at least for AoS!

Onto more important matters, do we have any more news on the khorne dragon from Forgeworld with skeletor as it's rider? :)

No :( Stupid PowerPoint just said soon again, so how soon oneone really knows. Perhaps even FW is doubting if it's such a good idea to make another huge model for AoS that will not sell like Sayl ;)

Jokes aside, Im sure it will come at some point. I do think it's a test on the casting process to make something so 'natural' in sculpt look good with FW resin. With this I mean that warpage is a likely occurance and the model can't be as easily split up in parts as say a titan.

the sayl comment actually made me laugh out loud :D

I think it'll be ok, especially as all models are post process engineered in cad post scanning - that way you can engineer the split lines and interfaces and even simulate the mold flow characteristics and material and exothermic contraction coefficients.  I'd put money on it just playing second fiddle to known money spinners like 30k and Bloodbowl, and who can blame them.

Obviously Killax, when they employ you me and @Arkiham to handle their AoS side - naturally my first act will be to mark skin wolves and mammoths (which will go back into production as a twin pack with the curs'd ettin - who will get new fluff in the form of immune to anything a mournghul can spit out because that's their favourite rotting flesh foodstuff).

Make fimir Chaos and write a mighty tamurkhan-esque homage campaign rollercoaster which will double as a mighty new battletome for the chaos dwarfs and fimir to boot.

tOh and I'll bring Wulfric back and he can seafang teleport automatically himself and any slaves of darkness unit  to within 4" of sayl if he's on the table  before he takes any action and automatically get to go / hit / auto wound first - even if he doesn't have first turn.

..then all will be good in the nerdosphere. :)

GW just announced two new seminars during the nova open at the end of the month.

The first will be focused on Shadespire. It is likely that they will announce the 4th faction then.

The second is about the general's handbook AND BEYOND!! Hopefully we will finally get a preview of the new Aelves.

Exciting times!

Interesting.

There are so many variables of Shadespire that are still unknown, despite the Adepticon preview.

  • How much deckbuilding? Card limits? Deck size? How much customization?
  • How flexible are the armies/factions? A pool of characters? Can you build your own list? Mix and match?
  • AoS Models -> Shadespire or only Shadepire -> AoS (modelwise)

Could be a really cool game, that bridges the gap between tabletop and boardgame.

Especially interesting as it could be played competitively in a MtG kind of format.

Yaaay Necromunda is back aswell:

Not AoS related but still really cool for Skirmish fans.

I respectfully disagree, the converter and kitbasher in me is currently on fire, those shouldn't be very hard to bring over into AoS, delivering wonderful material to anyone with mortal humans in their force. In this regard, Necromunda coming with multi-part plastic kits is great news for AoS as well :D

Those elves look sweet!

After Necromunda, now they just need to announce Mordheim (or an AoS-version, if they want). I can smell it. Like after BB and specialists games slowly creeping in, it's a matter of time (and it's a big cow to milk! which company doesn't like likes that? DO IT GW ;)).
