Chikout Posted April 29, 2023 Share Posted April 29, 2023 Watching the 40k stream made me realise how much of an AoS guy I am now. I used to play both 40k and fantasy. I still have a tau army, some eldar, some dark eldar and some orks. I also have loads of genestealers from various versions of Space Hulk but that preview left me feeling nothing. They are all nice enough minis but the sternguard look like sternguard, the terminators look like terminators and the Nids have gone in a gribbly tentacly direction that I'm not a fan of. I prefer the more sleek looking design of the old hormaguants, the genestealers and the warriors. Aside from the screamer killer which I quite like, none of the nids look that menacing. You can see the shape of a candle on the top of the center mini, and chains holding something in the bottom right corner. Chains and candles are a big part of NH aesthetic. Ngl tho, what caught my eye first was the silhouette of the Nazgûl. Nice to see LoTR happily going around alongside the other specialist games. Hopefully the AoS 4th edition launch box will be of the same quality. About that Stormcast mini, that's again only available at events.. I can't understand why they don't give Warhammer+ subscribers the possibility to buy it online. I mean, I am subscribed since it launched, it would be cool to have that as an extra perk. No problem in paying the normal price, but just to be albe to buy it.. . I guess the next Underworlds Warband will be nighthaunt.
