MitGas
It‘s not a croc and neither a lizard but it‘s still my favorite Marvel image ever and it fits Seraphon in a way too. „I want to turn people into dinosaurs“. And just like that I have the overwhelming urge to convert an entire faction of Pterodactyl people. Almost certainly using the new little Terrawing things from the Sundered Fate set. They will be flappy and snappy and the Mortal Realms will tremble at the sound of their clacking beaks. Caw-caw! 1
EccentricCircle
Its worth noting that while some models get objectively dated, Others just go out of fashion. Quality plateau 'd a while ago by many metrics, but fashions come and go, so even models which are fine from a technical standpoint will fall out of favour sooner or later.

When he said "I have practiced my blade-craft to perfection" in the video, did anyone else think of the "I studied the blade" meme? Now I fully expect him to be not that good. A 4+ ward with a taunt sounds good on paper, but unless he has a lot of wounds to go along with that I think he'll still go down pretty quickly. I suppose you don't have to use the taunt, in which case he's a pretty durable hero, but unless he has another useful ability or has a ridiculous attack profile he'll probably fall into the camp of "not very useful foot assassin". Not that I mind, he looks awesome. Of course the real star is the announcement of the Hedonites Battletome. I have waited for this for a long time: do not fail me GW rules writers: give me a S2D, GSG, BoC tier book please. Doesn't need to be overpowered, it just needs to be fun. The Realmgore Ritualist looks cool too, though once again I am more interested as to the contents of the new book. Will Khorne finally feel like Khorne? I hope so. If lord of hubris is like 70-100 points he would work well with slaangor, since you can do something very similar to what BoC can do with Gor and slaangor. Let's wait for the rest of the day to find out if I have a good reason to be grumpy... I get the annoyance but tbh while it wasn’t quite as underserved as, say, Blood Bowl, it was in the wilderness for a long, long time. Besides, overwhelmingly the Necro releases are random resin weirdos (and so not eating into AoS releases*) with more character and creativity than 90% of space marine releases in the last 5 years. They’re clearly labours of love on the part of the sculptors. Anyway, fingers cross we get a lizard preview * Though AT and other specialist games are a different story… Edited March 6, 2023 by sandlemad 1

Yeah, the lore may be cliche, but it falls into a refreshingly-nuanced take on goodness in 40k - that it is, in some way, achievable, but only by working outside of existing power structures, since the inherent nature of the actions required to make the galaxy a better place are at odds with the methods said power structures use to cling to their power. And, of course, those power structures often have easy access to "do a genocide" buttons. "Everyone's evil" is a bland and reductionist take on 40K lore and the grimdark genre. In this essay I will... Edited March 6, 2023 by acr0ssth3p0nd 4

Chikout
I don't think that was on anyone's bingo card. It's another cool mini and I like the alternative options. Just how big is this release going to be? There are still three unsolved Seraphon rumour engines.

The Brotherhood of Necros
Not a huge fan of Skink 1’s pose and would probably grab the existing version for the crossed legs! The rest of him — his headdress, his collar, the staff — beauuutiful.
Matrindur
As far as I can see the two Skinks use different arms (and staff), legs and heads so as long as there are also two torsos inside you could build a Starseer with the seated Skink and use the standing version as a Skink Priest on foot
Jetlife
At first I didn't understand why they re-did this model. Then I went back and realized, I liked the one on foot and the one on throne was resin, so makes sense. I really like they they are knocking out all the old resin kits. It is giving me optimism that at some point in the future we will see the same treatment for Skaven, Beastmen and Ogres! 1

Definitely an unexpected model though, as others have said this could mean an even larger release than expected - very exciting!
Magnusaur
The Great Plan delivers once again! This one was quite the surprise, but a welcome one. I do like the old resin version. I briefly considered if the Starseer would just be a build option for new Slann, but the fact that they are giving each kit their due is awesome. Skink in the first picture kind of looks like it's on the can. Interestingly, I misinterpreted Whitefang's "now pick 4" post. Clearly, Games Workshop has more in store for us than I had dared hope. Come, scryers of the stars, let us meditate on this...
