Quote from gw:”** Forget the Hobby Project Generator, we want to see people starting armies of Skaven in subs this year.“

A small hint towards a skaven revamp maybe?

If a new skaven revamp added skaven subs I would be sold so fast on skaven. I already love stormfiends and the rest of clan skyre I just do not want to deal with either metal kits or 3d printing/converting a bunch of models

Tbh i hpoe next skaven wave is not about Skryre or Pestilens  but Moulder or Eshin.

Why not all of the above. All of the clans have a lot of metal or just super old and ugly kits. I'm hoping for a Soulblight gravelords type release with a bunch of resculpts and only a couple of completely new units.

Skryre and pestilens could be solved with a kit or two each. Plague monks and censors could easily by the same body with different build options. The skryre weapon teams (excluding the doom flayer) + jezzails could all be the same basic 2 skaven with some kind of weapon that you just change some bits to make each option.

Honestly pestilens has 1 until less than moulder does, it could use something new as well. The only clan that could go with nothing new, just kits updates to plastic, is skryre.

I would prefer that they first 'cover the bases', updating the core of shared units between Skaven clans while teasing the different directions the range can/will move in the future. Similarly to Gravelords, really. I'm more partial to the Skryre/Moulder clans, but I'd hate to see an update were all the weird gizmo-techno-rats look great but the "humble" dates back to a previous millennia.

Incidentally, GW updating the basic Ork, Chaos Space Marine, Eldar Guardian, and Necron Warrior within just a few years of each other brings me great joy. Troops/battleline updates and additions is where it's at!

Probably too much to ask GW to do everything at once so that realistically why. Got to temper your expectation somehow

I am confused, is Blade Born releasing this week? It says we can get it already in Canada, but I have never once seen it here and it also claims to be at Barnes and Noble, which I believe is just an American store. I have tried Indigo/Chapters to no avail and I think that I will likely never get my grubby mitts on this set.

I just did this and the leak I summoned was that the next specialist board game is a version of epic AoS called GODBEAST

Just wait and in a week it'll be reposted back here as a leak someone overheard in a pub!

Can we have Skaven Submarines as a new addition to bring the list up to 6? That's the only thing that interested me in that otherwise meh warcom article.

I'll allow it, after all who wouldn't want to see warpstone-powered submarines vs. eel elves?

Troop/Battleine updates are what we most want!! If they updated Gluttons to be dynamic I would literally buy 5 boxes immediately even if the price were raised by £5.*

*Please dont raise the price GW.

So with all the hype around Skaven submarines it would be pretty cool to get an update of Dreadfleet/Man o War that no one will purchase except for us! AoS is much more suited for this type of play where tech is more tied to High Fantasy concepts of magical engineering:

Flocks of Dragons, Fleets of Kharadaron lead by Khrundhal-class Battleships, Large Kraken Eaters wading through the sea, Black Arks, Man Eater Pirate Ships, Ancient Leviadons and larger Idoneth creatures, Flying Bloodthisters and Lords of Change, Skaven Submarines, Darkoath Longships, Ghostly Galleons, Grotbag Skyships, and of Course Vampirates.

Of course we can get large Godbeasts in this scale.

The price would go up much more than £5 on updated Gluttons. No way you’re getting 6 Ogor sized models for £35 when 10 or even sometimes 5 infantry models are that price or damn close already.

Spot on. It's hard to swallow sometimes that a 5 model squad of Alarith Stoneguard are 45€ / 36.5£ with just the heads of the hammers as interchangeable options. Fortunately nobody has to pay full price for GW models. And they are amazing sculpts and I love them deeply.

This ^^ I've been advocating this for ages. It would amazing on that scale on the tabletop. Shame we got aeronautica instead of this!

What I'm proposing is in line with multiple releases they have done recently. For AOS Soulblight and Gloomspite would be examples while on 40k all the recent xenos releases

There are lot more outdated kit in Skaven compare to those two. i wouldn't say the Soulblight release adiquately build on the two new Bloodline as well as it could be.

i would say it be harder to touch all four clans for that kind of release in one go, the Ork was regular Ork units and Beast Snaggas (snake bites) and i doubt this Eldar release is not going to touch all the Phonex lord and Aspect warriors in one go :)

Yeah I think the Skaven range is wide and old enough they couldn't fix it in one pass, so triage really needed to get the clan battle lines cleared up and bring back/replace the lost Eshin stuff as they seem the worst off, might be biased ofc :P

Hoping for the battle box as Fyreslayers are my next project and my deepkin can always use more units.

I'm expecting it to be the new tau however.

I wouldn't expect back to back codex releases so either battlebox or some specialist stuff
