Were these rumours the ones that came with the big and detailed Cities/Dawnbringers rumour? Is all that in doubt now?

No……

a bit I guess….

but shouldn’t we always take rumors with a grain of salt, as they can be well not always quite true.

Also I believe this was the same guy who said that skaven are getting a new gutter/night runner units.

instead we got a hero

as for dawbringers.

it is possible we will see the things he mentioned.

it is possible that only a handfull of stuff he said will be part of the army.

and maybe just maybe dark elves won’t go from the range, but I really don’t know.

As excited I am for gitmob snarlfangs, think im going to hold off on them until we get confirmation their is more eventually coming in that aesthetic.

Excited for the preview! Trying to finish my backlog of 40k ork army, and a look at what the new Seraphon release/ what might be coming next for AoS is the boost of motivation I need.

Is it just me or is the BOC Vanguard box absolutely incredible!?

Well….

i bought myself the starter set fro boc which was already amazing.

this battlebox basically exchanges the big monster for a herd of gors and dragon ogors.

Depending how good gors and dragon ogors will, this box can definitely be amazing

Also the gitz have 43 warscroll cards in the pack.

They're getting 2 new units, and kragnos will probably show up in the book too.

They currently have 44 scrolls.

So that means at least 4 things are getting removed or consolidated.

Madcaps and loonboss with cave squig are the obvious ones (madcaps are basically fungoids). But i'm not sure what else.

Maybe the scuttleboss because of resin? Or one of the underworlds warbands? Or maybe shootas and stabbas will get a combined scroll or the aleguzzler will be gone?

I'm just amazed there's no Tzaangors in the BoC Vanguard box!

I'm shocked they never did start collecting, vanguard, or combat patrol tzaangor. You can sell it to 3 armies and include the 40k upgrade sprue.

Madcaps are shown in the Battle Report preview video.

It's real good, but it's competing with the old SC, which was just as amazing, if not moreso. Getting 20 infantry and a Cygor in a SC box was good times, let me tell you.

My money is that the Aleguzzler Gargant is going good bye.

Is there particular stuff that the Gitz are really missing as an army, other than things that just generally expand or fit better visually with the (admittedly a bit out on a limb) wolf rider aesthetic? It seemed like the early 2019 GG release was substantial and had a lot of great looking stuff in it, and what they mainly needed was to make them actually fun to use in games

I've been checked out of AOS 3.0 almost entirely beyond chewing through painting a Lumineth army at a glacial pace, but that Gitz vanguard box briefly tugged at the Impulsive Pile of Shame Purchase bit of even my brain

At least the Cygor is cheaper than the Magmadroth and Carnosaur so it’s not too big a loss being removed from the box.

The most plausible option is that they combine the Gobbapalooza unit

Can you please specify what these rumours were? Can't find them anywhere...

Well, if I knew where they were I'd check myself 😉

Pretty sure they were on this Rumour Thread sometime late last year.

Iirc, done by a first login burner account.

I am massively disappointed if this is all the Gitmob we are getting. What a waste of hype. At least they put 1 new beast unit in all of Destruction in the era of the beast. And if the tome is anything like 2nd edition that vanguard box will be unplayable if u want any synergy at all. Hope they have some surprises left.

Question is now, will GW use the meteorological or astronomical start of spring for the release of the new lizards.

Asking the real questions!

I don't have the whats left to be released in Winter 2023 besides Blades of Khorne and the new Warcry boxset. Which will probably be 1 week each? Maybe Arks of Omens book and new boxset and a week for something like Bloodbowl/Warcry/Necromunda release?

Seems pretty probably that Seraphon will be early March. I think we'll get a good idea by the Thursday/Friday reveal show on what to expect in the short future.

Honestly guttered man, just going to set my expectations that Seraphon are just getting a new hero if that.

I know it sounds petty when we've just had S2D huge wave and we'll have a massive revamp of Cities, but man, the factions that just get the one hero or even couple new random units just feels so disheartening. I mean Necromunda gangs have had more variety and new releases than an entire AoS faction. Feels like it's a specialist game sometimes.

Don't want to be petty or ungrateful but it annoys me sometimes. It constantly reminds me of that argument for why Fantasy/AoS isn't as popular as 40k. It's because sales are low? I have no incentive to start a new Gits army when the new enticing feature is one random unit that doesn't fit thematically or practically with the rest of the army. Sales low? No support, no support? Low sales, neverending cycle.

Every faction deserves at least the Sylvaneth treatment, sick of this one hero/unit BS.

Sorry for the venting.
