Work is progressing as planned! ...almost.
Lokhe commented on Snoe's blog entry in The Friendly Neighbourhood Painting Service
Nice work on the magnetization there. Don't think I would have the patience to do that. I would just buy more models and paint them too, which takes longer so it makes no sense -
Nice step by step layout and beautiful mini

Looks absolutely hideous, in the best possible way

So the gf is assembling some Skaven from an old Island of Blood set to try out AoS. Thought I'd whip some paint on the characters to help her get started. This one is a bit sloppy but speed was the goal I also found a neat little surprise in a box. Something I forgot I had. Pics of that soon...

Always nice to finally paint something you've had your eye on for a while -

Love the grass, very pretty! -
Thanks I've only had the chance to try it once so far but we played it for three days straight basically I'm helping a friend paint up some of the models in the kit to ease the burden a bit. Next time we'll have more of the adversaries painted too I hope

Update on terrain
Lokhe commented on Snoe's blog entry in The Friendly Neighbourhood Painting Service
So you're going for a "wyldbush" look rather then ;D That's fair, I don't mind some practical terrain myself, especially when you're putting down this amount in one game potentially -

Aha, a fellow Swede! You've got a nice mass production going here I see. How do you plan on doing the trees? -
It's quite the kit so make sure you have room in your schedule for some serious painting sessions!

Death to life

Sweet! Loving all the different shades of Sylvaneth popping up around the web, each unique in their own way despite all looking really fitting. Awesome job Also, congratulation on getting married! -
Thanks I painted this fellow up for a friend. He got the set a while back and we gathered to assemble it and give it a go. Great fun weekend. I'm leaving the basing to him though for coherency's sake. I'll ask him to bring something else along with him when he visits next time though!
-
Yeah. I love it when we get a lot of new kits and people start posting their paint jobs. Always inspirational!
-
A friend of mine bought the set and we're painting it up together so he is the one who built it actually. That said I like the head far better than the axe because it adds a splash of blue that goes well with the red Thanks for checking it out!

Yes indeed! It's always good to get some feedback Aha, they're white on the back, I see. Composition is something I struggle a bit with myself so I'm "practicing" a bit by looking at other people's work. You can always return the favour ofc, got a little blog on here myself

You didn't think they looked enough like Space Marines already eh? Nah, looks good! Have you thought about painting the shields a different colour? White perhaps, to make them stand out from the bodies a bit. Just thinking aloud here
-
Looking good! Are you putting any edge highlights on the green?
-
First up is one of the heroes from the new Warhammer Quest. I think he might be wearing a few too many skulls for what could be considered practical but I think it turned out good =)
