That Warforger will really fit in nicely thematically with my Greywater army I reckon.

I would say these are likely kits:

• Handgunners/Crossbowmen
• Flagellants
• Elite infantry (Greatswords)
• Cannon
• Religious centerpiece (war altar)

We might also see mounted gunpowder units again (Pistoliers/Outriders).

So at least seven kits is very realistic if we see one more new unit like a generic Witch Hunter kit.

Looking at the orders, you see there's some elf and dwarf only orders. I guess that tells mixed race units are not going to happen... You only get human, elf or dwarf only units.

I think that will be true for the initial release. But it is a keyword based system, and nothing is stopping GW from releasing a unit with all three keywords at once (HUMAN, AELF and DUARDIN) sometime down the line. I could see this in Warcry.

Or maybe we get sigmarite Duardins and Aelves in a 2nd wave in 4th edition... Yeah I know the first wave isn't even out that I'm thinking about the second one but I feel like something will need to be done for the current elf/dwarf kits of Cities. But for now, they hang out and that's ok.

- Cavaliers on 60 x 35 mm

- Freeguild Steelhelms on 25 mm

Quite like that the big important characters have larger bases than the rank and file.

I personally count  around 69 warscrolls, but I'm throwing in hexbane and the six solos from cursed city. 

That would be a loss of around 15 warscrolls. 12 or 13 of those will the whole wood and high elf line. 

We don't know how many new units we are getting, but it is interesting to see if either we are getting a lot more or they did not cut as much as everyone thought.

Depending on the cost for the new CoS boxset I'm actually pretty interested in it! Gonna need to try and find a female head for the marshall (can probably pilfer a sisters of battle one or just get a 3rd party head) but otherwise the models all look really cool and it seems like a nice boxset giving you 2 of your battleline, some heroes and heavy cavalry.

Going off 41 returning warscrolls (the ones you listed plus Hexbane and his hunters), I think the following is a reasonable prediction for the 13 new warscrolls:

• Elites (Greatswords/Big Axe guys)

Adds up to 12 so far.

Plausible candidates for the last warscrolls are new Outriders, Crossbows, or a generic Manticore warscroll. We might see more units if more legacy kits get cut (like the Gyrocopter or something from the Dark Elf range). We might see fewer if units like Demigryph Knights stick around.

I personally think they will stay. Whitefang said Collegiate Arcane is safe. They might not have unlimited shelf life, but for now I would be surprised if they were removed.

Well I guess we have an official confirmation the Dispossessed are here to stay.

They don't look bad at all next to the new Cities humans. I think it's because the new Freeguild look more "dwarven" in appearance with their heavier armour, and so they blend well next to these 10 y/o duardin minis.

Up-armouring the Freeguild definitely ties the remaining factions together a lot better. Kind of makes me more enthusiastic about mixing them up.

I hope Dispossessed stick close to their current look if they ever get a refresh. "Traditionalist dwarves" is definitely a niche that should be served somewhere.

I can't work out if that's a new paint job on the Irondrakes. Looks a bit different from on the webstore but might be just the lighting and the mist effect.

Whatever, they still look great and not at all out of place with the New Cities.

Between the king, runesmith and engineer, and the ironbreakers, longbeards, hammerers, irondrakes and the 2 versions of the copters, Dispossessed have themselves a cohesive little roster within CoS with very good middlehammer sculpts. And yes, their vibe and aesthetic is "classic" enough for dwarves (beards, runes, heavy armor, wondruous contraptions) to blend anywhere. 

To be fair I'm fine with Dispossessed staying the way they are. The photo shows they're very fine as is. Maybe getting a mixed dwarf/human cannon crew would be cool to give them and the humans something.

It's the webstore minis imo, all the colors are the same, they just look a bit more vivid on the photo because its likely been altered.

Bit disappointed that they don't have a new paint job. Still, good to see some confirmation that my Dispossessed will stay playable for a while yet.

The Cogsmith/Engineer hasn't been available outside the Start Collecting for some time now. Which is a shame as imho he's the best of the 3 dwarf heroes in Cities. Hopefully he'll stay available in some way if the SC goes.
