Nah the last week of the month is usually very light in terms of preorders 

Most of the time is a very small specialist game release

it really depends on how big these recent kill team releases take up October since they roadmap them in that month

This will be interesting then considering the amount of Stormcast to be released, especially as it will most likely be over another 2 week window. 

Do you think Chaos Battletome will be November or December then?

So we got another week of beast snaggas and don't have neither Boltboyz nor Stormcasts?
Considering the delays i think the "october chaos battletome" will go up in november....
If it's only a battletome maybe we can have his preorder at the end of the month perhaps...but i doubt.

pretty sure that was already the case when they stealth edit the original article. it went form chaos battletome in october to now later this year

I'm guessing it could just be a Battletome and maybe a single Hero mini or nothing at all release. Nurgle seems most likely.

eh i think it largely useless to guess when the chaos tome is coming out before it has been officially revealed what on earth it is, it can even be delayed until next year for all we know.

November makes sense currently since only has the Black templar release slated for that month and maybe one small killteam release while December has two unknown codexes being release  and generally GW slow down on new release on that month.

i have a feeling that most of the Gencons reveal  are going to be release before the year ends (except maybe the Warcry tease)

Itll be interesting to see what comes next for AOS because right now we have the rest of the SCE and Boltboyz and that's it for confirmed releases.

If rumours are true, Chaos battletome next. Long suspected to be Nurgle but if Red Harvest is Spiderfang vs BOC (as opposed to, sniff, Chaos Dwarfs) I could see BOC getting a complete rehaul. Although for that GW would have to remember BOC exists...

 

(Tbf the Blood Bowl Khorne team has like, 2 beastmen so...there's hope?)

Well if the word eater are coming (and that 40k rumor thread has been pretty accurate so far) I wouldn’t be surprise if the next big Chaos release is Blades of Khorne since GW have somewhat tied in new CSM legions with their AoS counterpart release like when both thousand sons/ DoT and death guard/ Maggotkin where release somewhat close to each other.

The last “rumors” we had for AOS are as follows:

1. Revamped Beasts of Chaos.

2. Spiderfang update.

3. The Dawnbringer Crusades.

4. Actual Chaos Dwarfs (either named Furnace Kings or Oath-Takers).

With the Warcry teaser we have exactly…… Ditka.

I keep thinking if Chaos Dwarves are connected to the Varanspire that means they are likely going to be in Archaon's employ. Hopefully as autonomous and culturally distinct contractors within the Eightpoints, but I still can imagine them as a distinct subfaction within Slaves to Darkness. I would imagine Chaos Dwarves having a bare minimum of a Lord, Infantry, Artillery, Monster and Hobgrots. Most likely with an additional infantry choice for ranged weapons and optional builds for the artillery and monster. But there are also some rumours and theories about Beasts being folded into Slaves to Darkness. I am starting to worry that this will lead to a book even more bloated than Cities and Stormcast.

I would be happy to have so much variety but I also imagine that this will result in poor internal balance and a massive hole in my bank account. I will try and save myself some dough by limiting my Chorf and Beasts to Demon Engines and Dragon Ogors and pray to the Chaos Gods that I can limit it to just that.

Also just throwing this out into the universe the ultimate way to get me to try out 40k... Chaos Squats!

I mean that 4chan rumor has already been debunked because of grey knight thing was not even close to being true. the source should not have been given any credibility anyway

Hey so I wanted to post this here since it seems like nobody is talking about it and the folks in the Warcry discord have been going bananas over the fact that GW quietly announced the first step in Cross-Compatibility between Underworlds and Warcry. It hasn't been a thing in this thread but we've been speculating about it since Bladeborn got previewed way way way back in March this year. 

Basically, Bladeborn is on sale in Germany-only but will be available worldwide soon. German Bladeborn ships with Warcry matched play and narrative play rules for 6 Underworlds warbands. I have a video elaborating on my utub channel if anyone wants to pm me for the link but I don't want to post it here bc that would be crass. 

The gross speculation is that we'll get the rules for all the rest of the UW warbands in this year's Tome of Champions that comes out every January. It could totally revolutionize the game as far as budget conscious players are concerned, bc some of the Underworlds warbands go for $25 without the cards and any two Underworlds warbands that share a Grand Alliance can be combined to make a Warcry crew. 

Anyway I wanted to post it in a mainstream channel since the Warcry community has been way more hyped about this than we were about the Red Harvest trailer, and it was odd to see nobody "on the outside" talking about it.
