Preorders are up, GW are releasing some customised straws next weekend for TK obsessives to literally grasp

Has nobody else noticed that Slaanesh written backwards then put through a Coptic-English auto-translate is Tomb Kings

Morathi survived and escaped Slaanesh's belly. Her body is mutated and her winged serpent form is her natural normal body now; her Aelf with bronze-like wings is basically a powerful illusion spell she weaves to try and hide her true self. However at times of battle, rage or when she's weakened she reverts to her natural state. Basically when she hasn't the self will or spare power to maintain her illusion it drops.

It was also her escape that showed the other Godlike Aelves (of which Morathi is insanely jealous because all teh great Aelves of her day who survived became gods but she didn't) how to weave a means to syphon out the souls from Slaanesh and was what drove them to entrap the Chaos god.

If Warhammer (and by extension AoS) takes place in a post 40k timeline (lots of markers, but foremost the birth of the Chaos Gods), could we start seeing various Space Marine special charaters turn up as Stormcast? ;)

Don’t make me put my Mod Hat On! 😉

I think the best way of thinking about it is like mirror universes where they share similarities but aren’t joined.

Anyway rumours.

If you go to the main GW site, there is now 10 days left on the countdown for Vigilus (40k). So basically next few weeks will be 40k focused, but I think we will see some AOS soon. I’m expecting Blades if Khorne 😉

You could make AOS into the pre Horus Heresy without much difficulty. The bit just before the Emperor founds the Primarchs and their legions.

What are we expecting from this updated Khorne book? GW have indicated they will make playing pure daemons of khorne or bloodbound more feasible. Im gonna guess the bloodsecrator is gonna get the wholly within treatment and maybe even be limited to khorne mortals only. Theres also an opportunity to completely review the warscrolls as we've seen with skaven and gloomspite, so id expect buffs galore to all those 4+ abbilities and rendless attacks. Simplifying the battalions will be nice too. Also i wonder if there will be free terrain, or if those not endless spells will fill that role?

There's already a Khornate terrain set hidden in plain sight:

All of those at a guess. I suspect the idea is to reword some stuff and get the book working better and how players want to play it. From a sales point of view, it’s a simple update with a few models that will sell fairly well. Personally I would expect to see the other books done in a similar manner. If I was a betting man, I would say we would see Tzeentch after that and then maybe Nurgle with Slaanesh next year. But that’s guessing rather than a rumour. I do think AOS will get something cool this year (hard to forget AOS 2 dropped last year as well but that seems so long ago!!)

tomb kings returning will strengthen the order faction but making him storm cast is the wrong move. stubborn guy like Setra prefers to return with his own power and most of the lesser heroes turned kinda easily resurrected thanks to Sigmar or their own power and lets not forget Egyptian mythology( sorry for real-life discussion) focuses on pharaoh kings effectively gods in the mortal plane thus there is good enough chance to make Setra become god-king of new faction by slightly discarding skeleton dead aesthetic and turning tomb kings in to completely new yet old faction sigmar can realy use necrotec from tomb lords as heavy durable hitters

A rework of alegance ability to not conflict with invocation rules.

With some luck some updates on some WS of units like skullcrushers as model is super cool but rules make them meh.

Someone spoted too that if bloodsecrator may not be locked away from combat due to his portal of crane ability, it would be more RP to be able to send him in midle of the fight!

probably completly unrealistick, but some news unit. and some realease like karanak and flesh hounds in stand alone set would be great too.

I think the Updated Khorne book will largely be comprised of new rules and warscrolls for Tomb Kings

In the grand tradition of taking some minor, probably inconsequential, detail and running wild with it has anyone else noticed that the seemingly random new Underworlds board that's just gone up for pre-order is titled the Forbidden Chambers. Coincidence maybe but, in regards to the lore at least, it might end up having some vague connection to the upcoming Forbidden Powers expansion.

https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/02/24/made-to-order-legends-of-the-skaven/

Skaven print on demand old models (a small irony considering that they've already got a load of old metal models on the webstore page already ;).

Personally I've already ebayed Deathmaster Snikch from this block to use as a regular Deathmaster. I'm tempted to pick up the Greyseer model, depending on the price it gets, as its a neat model and gives some variety as GW only makes the one Greyseer. I might also be tempted by the older Iket Claw, but the newer version of him just looks so much better (in my view).

The Legacy rules will be nice to have, but I'll likely never touch them and use them as regular current heroes/leaders in the army.

Sadly they did not go far back enough on the skaven for me. I might have gone for some of the truly ancient ones, like the original Grey Seer or the champion with musket, but the hope to see those where slim to begin with.

Its not that they haven't done some very venerable miniatures with their print on demand, the original assassin comes to mind. But it has been very rare and I suspect it hinges on the condition of the moulds, many of which may no longer be usable.

Yep plus it wouldn't be surprising if the further back you go the more chance there is that a mould has been missplaced or lost. I don't even know if GW keeps a full inventory of masters to make new moulds for - one would assume if they keep the mould then they keep a master to make a new mould from. I believe they have in the past also thrown out sets of moulds from some games, though I think mostly specialist and side games.

They also might have some moulds that look like they are quite well worn and thus they could be risky to use. Morathi on a Pegasus was put up for sale when they did the Dark Elves release a year or so back and had to be withdrawn because the mould broke when they started using it.

What do you expect for the new Darkoath army? So far we have seen The SIlver Tower Chieftain, the Queen and the Underworlds warband.

What new models do you expect? What existing models will be added to their battletome? (Chaos Marauder Horseman, Warhounds,...?

Giant chaos hound pulled Chariots.

Light cavalry, maybe on something slightly mutated but not too much,  zebroxes maybe.

A shaman type hero.

3 witches around a cauldron.

Maybe some kind of oversized melee hero.

Beastmaster type unit with the eponymous whip handed leader and a pack of jaw filled frights.

Some mix of archers/javelins/melee barbarian units.

Maybe something like a unit of skin-changers that hide inside other units like goblin fanatics then burst out in bear/wolf form.

A wicker-man style terrain piece.

Chaos-undivided endless spells.

Marauder horsemen as the only set to be "Darkoathed" hopefully, for some reason, this set can't be ordered by LGS and is direct only.
Warhounds are terrible set, metal predecessor were much much better IMO. This set is a pure example of going into plastic went wrong...

Looking at the Warqueen book:
- as @JPjr mentioned chariot pulled by giant hounds,

- mutated/exalted/possessed hero, chance to have 2 models/2 warscrolls/ 1 hero entry like Morathi,

- Shamans male and female,

- infantry with plethora of weapons,

Rules wise: access to all the marks without the need of battalions.

IMO the 6th ed Grey Seer on made to order looks like farts and is possibly the worst of a very poor pile of skaven sculpts that look more like dogs than rats from that era.

If you want a different looking Grey Seer, just get the guy from the top of the Screaming Bell on the cheap (there are enough people who've built Plague Furnaces), or splash out on a Gnawdoom (the greatest Grey Seer, and possibly skaven model ever made) on ebay:
