maybe the pachyderms are the cavalry for River Temple while the dragon is the actual spirit?

Seem too big since the undead can use them  like Trojan horses and fit large forces inside them.

My theory is the pachyderm sages will be smaller “mountain spirits” that are fleshy tanks that the swifter River temple warriors & water spirits fight around.

Makes them half-way between the toughness of Alarith but also almost the speed of Hurakan but not as good as either, giving them versatility to flow around their problems. 🌊

Only riders as a Darkoath unit. The regular Darkoath is a warcry warband.

Ravagers is actually not a cultist unit in the same way as the other warcry warbands like corvus cabal etc. They also have 10 models, unlike the other units which tend to have eight or nine.

So perhaps ravagers are already intended as direct replacements for marauders.

I'd like to see darkoath get a heavier infantry unit, or perhaps something like a war mammoth.

TOW I guess is the date announcement, if the rumour about it being launched on the 6th is right.

For 40k I have no clue, Dark Angels date? And for AoS has to be Dawnbringers 4.

I think the second video is for TK in the same way Brets got theirs today.

One interesting thing about the River spirits, in the old lore article, river aelementors are noted as more common (https://www.warhammer-community.com/2021/01/26/how-well-do-you-know-the-spirits-of-hysh/).  Instead of one large spirit, is it possible we could see packs of water spirits?

Now that also could just be reading into it more as well.

Edit: Perhaps the lumineth warband actually contains smaller aelementors?

I see it as a 50/50 either making new Darkoath Marauders or just removing the basic marauders in favor of the existing warband.

I don't see the Warcry band being the basis for the "basic" infantry kit of S2D. Warcry bands have always been units of specialists, and the poses are too restrictive anyway.

I'm not sure how you could make the darkoath savagers less specialised aside from not building the wizard. Give them even less clothes?? (joking)

This would fit on the latest trend about having small pets in lot of warbands.

That would be a good way to separate Temples.

Mountain & Wind are more quality where-as River is a quantity temple manifesting lots of lesser aelementors in a tactic to wear down mightier opponents the same way small but constant water wears away rock to form streams & rivers.

Speaking of River Temple, I should remind everyone that Stoneguard have bull crest helmets, and their spirit avatar is a huge bull. Windriders have a fox crest, and their spirit avatar is a agile flying fox. If River Temple have a dragon crest, does that mean their spirit avatar is a water dragon?

The ministry of silly helmets will no doubt have been hard at work.

Not even a dwarf, duardin or kin in the next three months.

Even a unique heroe feels like a blessing instead of a 2d wave for any of our armies.

Yeah, I expect both FS and KO to eventually get expansions during 4th, but the lack of Duardin news is a little disappointing.

Lore-wise, there's another Drekki Flynt novel coming though, which is great! Another Grombrindal novel is super likely too (though I have not heard any rumours abouf the White Dwarf's model for a long time now). I was really hoping for the next Gotrek novel to at least be announced by now too, I hope we're due for that sooner rather than later.

In terms of Fyreslayer lore, I'm excited but worried. The renewed Vulcatrix focus is fantastic, and Bael-Grimnir's state and what they'll do with him is incredibly interesting. However, it would not be the first time they've done nothing with FS plot threads, like the White Dwarf from 2019 setting up Bael-Grimnir's heir. And although I love his character (in the Mortal Realms at least), Gotrek still has sort of a stranglehold on FS lore by having the master rune through which Grimnir communicates and being his de facto avatar.

Duardin lore needs some progression soon, it's been stagnant for a while now!

One last hidden video for:

- Old World
- 40k
- AoS
- Horus Heresy

TOW and Horus Heresy are likely their "looking ahead" teaser videos; Tomorrow for HH and friday for TOW.

AoS probably for newyears day and presenting the full reveal of the next Dawnbringer book RoR's

40k I didnt see a hidden video anymore ? There was talk of 2 hidden videos and we got 2 ( Dark Angels and the looking ahead teaser.) the only 40k thing likely to be shown at this time (as opposed to LVO) is the Winter kill team box, specifically the other side of the Nightlords. but I saw killteam has its own playlist with no hidden videos.

Maybe AoS and 40k are the Boxing Day minis?

The remaining TOW video will likely be the TK equivalent to the Bretonnia video from yesterday. So just a faction trailer not a 2024 video.

40k had three hidden videos, you can check that still have a hidden video but It is a bit tricky.

One of the reasons why I like AoS is that we can be pretty confident that every army will get its turn eventually. Some of the long neglected armies like Seraphon, Soulblight and Cities of Sigmar are now among thr best ranges. I have no doubt dwarves will get a similar amount of attention down the line.

Checking the data for my Rumour Engines site I've noticed there's quite a decent number of "old" (launched 2-3 years ago) AoS minis that are currently locked inside Vanguard Boxes or even not available at all, like the LRL Alarith Stonemage.

Did any of you notice if this is something that happened as a side effect of the site rework? Or is it something that is happening nowadays within the AoS range?

An example of Vanguard that includes minis that you cannot buy separately:
Vanguard: Daughters of Khaine (warhammer.com) -> Melusai Ironscale
