Eh up Gaz! Are you the Gaz Taylor from the Midlands?! I lived in Halesowen around 2006-2008. If you're the Gaz I think, I hope you're keeping well!

If you're not the Gaz I think, I still hope you're keeping well lol.

Going off topic but it’s the rumour thread 🤣

I am indeed. Also using my admin powers, if you are who I think you are, did teaching go ok? Please don’t repeat what the children used to say to you!!!! 🤣

About Cities elves and dwarves, maybe they'll get the Imperial agents/Eldar corsairs approach, except for the part when they're available to multiple factions. More like the part where they're a few units of specialists that you can take as "auxiliaries" alongside your main army (whose core is humans). Now that I've typed this, it looks closer to Tau auxiliaries, but you get the idea, I hope.

Maybe but my take on it is they are there to add a bit of flavour about how cities work but main focus is humans. I’m fully expecting they will get their own stuff in future. However with The Old World round the corner, these may be replaced come 5th edition!

Cities is basically the only place in AoS right now for "normal" humans. GW knows this and I think that is why they made such a big deal of the Cities update. I don't think that has to mean that dwarves and elves have no future in Cities, though. Because having them be part of the faction definitely tells us something important about how the Cities of Sigmar are different from, for example, the Empire and the Imperium of Man.

I hope GW recognizes that having Cities be a coalition of humans, dwarves and elves was part of the appeal. And I hope it translates to "real" Cities elves and dwarves over time. Even though that will probably mean that a lot of warscrolls get lost once the models are updated.

Saw an interesting post pop up on the FEC subreddit. Supposedly the poster bought the leaked FEC sprues from the person who originally leaked them and expects to have the sprues by the end of the week. Apparently they're also going to make an attempt at building the models as well.

If what they're saying is true we might get an unofficial look at that this new unit later in the week.

I think Dwarves and Elves will still be in it in future, just with new models. I’m hoping we see new factions based around them but who knows what the future holds

it would be nice to see some of these Cities get full subfactions tbqh! Why give Space Marines all the fun of fully realized subfactions?

Duardin-led or aelf-led cities could lead into those respective COS ranges :D

I would love GW to really go all in on the coalition of races, but everything done so far does not look good. From the new lore about the other races (especially the bit about the dark elves being getting kicked for their evil actions), much darker tone, the removal of two elf races without more then a few words, and even the new overall look it seems that GW pushed the faction closer to an Imperium 2.0.

Love to be wrong and we get a dwarf and elf wave in the future, but I have slowly come to accept it will be years before we have a real answer either way.

End of the week, just in time for them to go viral during the weekend and then GW will have no other choice to show them properly on Monday and start hyping more reveals on Warhammer Day.
Joking aside, it's very exciting.

Well over on Facebook my local store has posted a picture of stuff they are sending back to head office to make more shelf space for new stuff. Should be no surprise to anybody but the Start Collecting Flesh Eaters Courts was in the picture. So my guess is they will show Flesh Eater stuff off at the Warhammer Day preview.

Not sure about the above comment about buying the new kit and showing it off. My guess is unless they are decent pictures, we won’t see anything official soon.

Does anyone else feel like GW leaked the Bretonnian Plastic hero, Updated Ghouls, and the Knight Acheron months ago just to mess with us and/or find their mole? Cause we had no warning regarding the new knight kit at all and suddenly it's being announced alongside the new Blood Bowl team....

That's awesome, I am indeed Nick. All well on the teaching front thank you - I'm now teaching in Canada. I certainly don't repeat that lol. Hope life is treating you well Gaz :D

To keep vaguely on topic, I'm intrigued to see where the narrative for AoS is going with the new destruction book. :D

40k Christmas battleforce rumours/leaks over on Bolter and Chainsword. I've not watched the actual video so don't know if there's any mention at all of AoS, but it's Valrak so probably not...

I gave it a listen earlier and I don't recall him mentioning anything about the AoS boxes

No real suprise there unfortunately ☹️

Seems to be a bit of a theme maybe of a big model surrounded by infantry? I'm not 40k knowledgeable enough to be sure. But if that's right it might allow us to start speculating what we might get for AoS?

Ive Pre Ordered Truggs Troggherd so if GW wants to do me a solid and drop a box of 18 Rockguts that would be saweeeet.

Wasn't there hints towards characters boxes like 40k had last yea i.e kroak, mortach, karakatos and belakor?

do hope we get six this year.

I feel like 40k last yea was clearing the big boss stock in time for angron and the lion as they knew everyone would buy those and ignore older models.

Be nice to see a box with a greater daemon bloodthirster, great unclean one or keeper of secrets.

or thaquool and the glotkin centre piece modela like that.

If ushoran is dropping, we just had the troll king there could potentially be two new named characters also (is there 2 or 3 more books for this plot)

What we really need is a new grombrindal/grungi and malerion (dreams can come true)

Valrak Xmas box set rumours were

Xmas box sets
1. World eaters inc Angron
2. Jump assault marine box set
3. Beast snaggaz box set
4. Norn emissary boxset
5. Imperial gaurd - 2 rogal dorns, command squad 20 infantry
6. Votann - grimnyr, hearthgaurd, landfortress

7. Bonereapers
8. Soulblight
9. Eternus slaves to d
10. Seraphon

11. Old world Bret’s
12. Old world Tomb Kings

I reckon obr will have katakros, and Seraphon kroak given the generally focus on big heroes in Xmas boxes these days

Dang, that OBR one would have some great value, but it’s gonna be a hard sell for anyone who already collects them- I’m about 90% sure we all already have Katakros so that’s roughly 115 bucks of value that’ll need to be resold. And, of course, there will probably be the mandatory 20 Mortek Guard. If it goes heavy on the Elites (Immortis Guard/Stalkers/Morghast) though, I could see maybe picking it up.

Sounds like a perfect box for me then, but I think I'd have to pick Seraphon so I can go back to my first army :')
