  1. No Wizards as generic infantry for anyone besides Tzeentch or, alternatively no mortals outside of magic and melee combat.
  2. Yes, armies have different strengths and weaknesses. That’s something of an inbuilt design choice. It’s also something you need to consider when choosing your battle tactic.
  3. Nothing says you have to use it Turn 1. You can save it for later, and we haven’t seen the rest of the tactics yet either. If anything, RTTR is probably easier to score Turn 2/3 for FS after you’ve gotten into position while Idoneth probably want it Turn 1 if Rite of Creeping Mists sticks around.
  4. “What do you mean Katakros and then several bricks of Mortek+Harvesters isn’t a fun list to face?”
  5. Thralls and Reavers are dual builds of the same kit.
  6. My major issue with BTs is that once the season is over, you’re bringing an army who was balanced for the last GHB into something which needs to be balanced in a different manner (Hello Null Myriad nerf due to it being such an intensely wizard-focused season) and for some, that’s praying you get battle tactics that are reasonable for you (If Andtor vanished, I can guarantee you that the OBR winrate would probably drop by at least 5-7% unless Monstrous Infantry was the next theme). I hope future GHBs spread BTs out so there’s some that aren’t locked to the GHB’s gimmick, even if they’re a bit harder.
  7. I think the largest armies in the game can stand to take a single foot hero this edition while the smaller factions get wave 2s.
  8. Bonesplittaz are killed when their tattoos turn out to be no match for Skaven bullets, and the BoC are grabbed by a giant hand and dragged back to the Old World.
  9. I would like to add that all these beloved models getting cut but the bloody Krondspine Incarnate still being around shows that if nothing else, GW has a sense of humor.
  10. Then stop throwing your melee hero into combat with stuff that costs substantially more than it and canonically probably has killed a sizeable number of them and expecting it to win. A 110 point Chaos Lord will not win against a unit of Necropolis Stalkers, and that's still canonically accurate. They probably won't fare much better when they're getting overrun by more Skaven and Grots than they can swing a sword at either. Especially not one who hasn't done much to earn the eye of the gods yet.
  11. No less disingenuous than saying your 40mm model should be a melee combatant par excellence when any heavy hitter probably has at least a dozen of their heads mounted on trophy racks or bodyguards as strong as he is. Especially given how everyone else has gotten much stronger since Fantasy.
  12. Your criteria was “Not Mounted” and “Generic”. All 3 aren’t mounted and the only reason the eidolon doesn’t walk is because it can fly instead so that’s just a skill issue for everyone else.
  13. Verminlords. Mega-Gargants. Eidolons of Mathlann. All can be brought in duplicate (Minus the Akhelian, the command trait is locked to the general) and don’t have mounts, and are generally pretty good in melee.
  14. It lets you ignore Look Out Sir, not Fade From Memory, assuming that stays.
  15. Any rumors about potentially seeing Endless Spells split up into individual sets for the Lore of Manifestation?
