“The Summer King” is such a good title for a horrific undead monstrosity.

He is known by many names in the realms and they are all very good ones.

Sumeros Summerking
The Summer King
The Blood Rose Prince
The Sombre Paladin
Ushoran the Handsome
The Carrion King
Mortarch of Madness (not sure it's an official one but it's awesome)

Feeling we'll get to know what destroys those geomantic nodes soon enough, in the next book or two of the campaign. This sounds like a big deal anyway. Now, who, or what, could've done that ?

Wasn't messing with geomantic nodes the Swampcalla's thing? It would make sense, I think, to make Kruleboyz the Final Bosses of the 3.0 campaign (just to reveal Ushoran as the new threat).

Really hoping for at the very least a Warcry witch hunter warband to add to my underworlds one , jelson Darrick and the van densts!

Every big AoS release of 3rd edition so far has had a Warcry band. StD ? They got 2 (and a monster). Seraphon got one, FEC got one, SCE and Kruleboyz got one (although lots of time after their original wave of 3rd ed minis). I can't see why Cities wouldn't have a Warcry band. It would break this pretty reliable pattern if they didn't.

I would say the overall consensus is that Callis and Toll would have their minis released during this Dawnbringers book series, but would you see a change in Callis' look as it is kind of inheriting the old WHF armour style rather than the new Freeguild style?

No, Ganigumo is right. Just because something is good for the company doesn't have to mean that the consumer won't find it ridiculous, but quite the contrary.

Interests of the company and those of the consumer are often opposed in some crucial aspects - and guess what, we are the latter, not the former.

This isn't directed against you personally, but I'm tired of people making excuses for predatory practices just because it makes more sense for the company.

By now, most of the people bothering to comment on such things would know about GW's business practices (or be familiar with how corporate businesses in general function), but cynically accepting things just because it makes sense for them gives GW leeway to be more crappy in the future.

So, yes, releasing and promoting old models when perfectly good ones exist is rubbish and doesn't help the game and its future community, even if it makes GW more money in the short term.

I disagree. If TOW is to succeed alongside AoS, both games need their separate shelves with separate kits. This is in consumers’ best interest - in the long run. Otherwise, TOW will at best become this side game you can play with AoS models, but must use square bases.

Eh they are not known to follow there patterns that well, like nightmare quest probably should have been some sort of Slaanesh vs Destruction boxset but it ended up being SCE vs FEC. At least I don’t think this reasoning is a strong one.

The thing is with how GW stores operate is with games like HH, the Old world is certainly going to be relegated to the specialist game shelves and share the same space with other side games like Middle earth, blood bowl, and Necromunda.

most GW stores (depending on store sizes) run on the same template where they have a 40K side, an AoS side and then a small side for all the GW Specialist and side games release.

I've just noticed sigvald is no longer available online this is a recent model any rumours of a squat or do you think this is temporary?

I was just perusing as I recently received a voucher as a gift and noted this.

Almost 100% temporary. It's a very recent model (2021?) and there's really no reason why they would be replacing him in the near future.

The web store occasionally has errors where temporarily out of stock items come up as no longer available. Given Sigvald is quite new and part of the main Age of Sigmar range, I’d guess he is just out of stock.

Do we think the Summer King might be the big centerpiece model for an FEC update? Has there been anything else in the lore that could be a big model like that? I don't think the terrorgheist really cuts it as a centerpiece these days

Summerking/Carrionking/Ushoran will be definitely the new Fec centerpiece as Katakros for Ossiarch.

Was the Summer King mentioned somewhere in more detail?

Because when I read „Summer King“ & empty settlements on the Hammerhaml Gyhra side, *and* reminded myself that woodelves will not be in the new army book… . I instantly thought of the return of Kurnoth.
