Bueno
***UPDATED WITH WIP*** So it's been a while but I've had a hectic couple of months with a change of Job. I have still found some time for Hobby though and have some more pics to prove it. firstly I managed to get the full 1k painted for the partners in Chaos tournament in Feb and was lucky enough to get a painting nomination, although admittedly was never in the running for an award as the level of painting at the event was amazing and was taken out by @Ian Gilmore fantastic ironjawz army (I suggest you check them out on twitter if you haven't already). i had to drop out of the Tomorrow Burns event but have just finished the army I would have taken only a couple of weeks late. first up we have the Lord of Khorne on Juggernaught, who will be my general going forward. This guy is converted from a mournfang with the head and tail of a thunder wolf and lots of free stuff. next up up is a unit of 6 Skullcrushers to accompany him. and then hen finally I finished my first unit of 10 Bloodwarriors currently im working on another 20 bloodreavers, 2 x slaughterpriests and a warshirne. Hopefully get them done and on here asap. Edited August 22, 2017 by Bueno

Zhorphorus
this isn't helping my urge to start bloodbound...
Bueno
thanks for the positive comments. I forgot to say in my previous post that there's no dead grass tufts on those models as i ran out (will add soon). With the new book my list has changed to drop the 9 skin wolves as they can't be marked Khorne, so they are now on eBay unfortunately as they are great models. I'm also working on another 20 blood reavers to replace my marauders in the list along with a warshrine and 2 slaugtherpriests. For once i have actually remembered to get some WIP shots to stick up. Currently i'm trying to get 3 slaughterpriests built and painted, though one will end up on top of my warshrine when its finished. These have been converted using Space wolve terminator legs with the lower legs replaces with blood warrior boots/knee/thigh pads. Then various marauder and wulfen torsos with various furred cloaks. First up is the priest that will be atop my Khorne warshrine: Next up is my slaughterpriest with hackblade and wrathhammer. The Wrathhammer represented by the bone claw similar to my wrathmongers. I actually swapped the head on this straight after taking the photo to one that is similar to my warshrine priest as i felt the head pictured was too space wolfy (though i might use in on a character later down the line that has less space wolf parts to it). Would be interested to here if people think the space wolf head pictured works ok on the priest though? Finally i have my slaughterpriest with great axe. I think i am going to have to swap the head on this guy also as although i love the head the movement of the model is wrong, his hair is flowing in the opposite direction to the cloak, do you think its noticeable?
Bueno
Still not sure what to do about the Slaughterpriests heads, so I've put them to one side for now. I've instead managed to finish by Khorgorath though, using a Mierce Miniatures model. This was a pleasure to paint, super detailed model. Only a very slight conversion on this, changing the tail for that of a Thunderwold to hopefully tie it in to those models a bit more. As a bit of a side project I was inspired by @Killax post in the Chaos forums where he made some custom BOK blood blessing cards. These looked amazing but of course don't go with my take on a Bloodbound army, so I will be making my own version as well as a smaller version of the BOK battletome that suits my theme. Here's my first double page from the book using the fluff from my original post: Edited April 24, 2017 by Bueno
Killax
Incredible work and theme, very unique design and I think it's a fantastic hommage to Norscans and Ulricans of worlds past. Warriors fierce als wolves, hunting in large groups to bring any target down. I personally love the larger wolf you used and I really think that it adds a wonderful flavour. Keep up the amazing work! This continues to be one of the best armies I've seen for AoS.

Bueno
Thanks all. Just a quick post today, i had the entire army out last night on terrain in order to get some pics for the battletome i'm making to accompany the army so i thought i'd stick up a couple of initial shots after i've played around with them. Gorthor21
This is such an awesome themed army. You have seamlessly combined the space wolf and khorne asthetics into a really unique and inspiring force.
Thundercake
Looking at your priests -The guy for the warshrine is awesome! -The second guy, I think the head is OK, though it does seem a bit, i dunno, much? -The last guy with the big stick axe thing, yea, I think change the head. Usually I would say it doesn't matter but everything else is so amazing with your army, don't be lazy with this one!
Menkeroth
Awesome amount of work, so many efforts! And looking really coherent - I love that snow theme! And kudos for Space Wolves bits

Yeah I agree, i've changed the heads on both of the foot guys, should have them painted up this weekend so should be able to get more pics up for feedback. im not sold on the guy with the big glaive still, even after swapping the head. I might end up giving him an armoured head and using him as a Lord of Chaos with Mark of Khorne instead. im really pleased with the warshrine guy tho, so much so that I'd almost rather use him as my main slaughterpriest.
Killax
Very cool work and nice compositions of the army pictures, great that you put all this personal effort into it as it leads to a very unique army. Keep up the cool work and certainly continue to share the results.

I think i'm going to make the guy with glaive a lord of khorne, keep the others as two slaughterpriests on foot and then i've ordered a darkoath cheiftain to convert into my warshrine priest. I think the darkoath chieftain will work on the warshrine better size wise anyway as the foot slaughterpriests i've converted are pretty big and don't quite look right on the shrine. Bueno
Managed to finish off my triumvirate of Slaughterpriests ahead of a game tomorrow night where I want to run the gore pilgrims battalion. first up up is my former warshrine priest, now my main Slaughterpriest: really pleased with how this guy worked out. then I have my 2nd favourite, usually I will only be running two (unless 3 is amazing) , I changed the head on this guy so that the hair would match the flow of the cape and made a base that continues the shape: finally is is the guy I've not been sure about, I still think I will end up headswapping him for a marauderish helmeted head and use him as a lord of Chaos, hopefully that will convince me on this guy.
AGPO
The third guy is actually may favourite! I love all your conversions, only slight issue is that the black background makes it tricky to see some of the blood warriors
Bueno
No new models, but I've been working on my Wolves of Ghur battletome and today the printed version finally arrived! I should clarify that the cover artwork is not my own. Bueno
So i've had a little bit of a break from the Wolves and knocked out a quick sylvaneth 2k army (although i think i will be selling it as i don't play enough to master all the rules Sylvaneth have). Branchwych 20 Dryads 10 Tree Revenants 6 Kurnoth Hunters with Great Bows 2 Tree Lord Ancients And a spirit of Durthu After a break from painting black and blue i'll be back on the khorne to finish the warshrine and 20 reavers!
