These warscrolls abilities with color codes and "once per turn / once per battle" made me remember the way Dungeon and Dragons 4th edition treated special abilities for player characters and monsters. It was very similar.

Dispelling / casting 9 times for Nagash sounds an awful lot to me. I'd say a bit too much.

He currently casts like 8 times. and he costs like a thousand points

Yeah, I hadn't noticed but you're right. It is very reminiscent of 4E power blocks/power cards.

Ref image for the uninitiated (random from web, can't be bothered to go get my books 😅 )

Once again, that’s always how it has been and he never costs less than like, 700+ points. Plus, aren’t you the guy arguing for narrative over balancing? If anything, Nagash isn’t going hard enough by that metric!

Any takes on when we'll see the full reveal of the launch box? No Warhammer Fest this year, but are we still looking at something this month (aside from weekly/biweekly previews).

7pm Central time on May 16th according to this article.

Power level is the number after wizard at the bottom, so Wizard (9) means you have a power level of 9 and can cast and dispel 9 times in a battle round.

Was kind of hoping we were moving to power dice or something to change up spellcasting, but that makes sense.

Which among many long time D&D fans wasn't received.... shall we say enthusiastically though 4e still had its fans it was almost always people who never knew anything better before it.

So I guess the BoC Endless Spells and the Herdstone are just going to disappear? Especially the Herdstone is a beautiful model. Shame to see an entire AoS faction butchered for the sake of a specialist game.

I very much doubt they were squatted "For the sake of a specialized game" this is AOS tossing them away and OW scooping them up. Not OW stealing it from AOS

Nagash can cast and dispel 9 times in a battle round? What is he, a god? Thank godness he is has been robbed by a boy that do not want to leave his room and beaten by an aelf, which shows us that he is just a skeleton with a large hat.

Is this new or normal for Australia/New Zealand shop stocks

Normal, our stock levels here are atrocious lately. Local let a few of us know allocations for this one and the KT box were tighter than normal.

The highlighted green save stat on the warscroll is probably due it being the stat you are likely to need to reference quickly in the other players turn.

The others are only needed in your own turn (except for combat phase)

I dunno, I think we might see it before then. Revealing the new starter set for a new edition at 1am UK time on a Friday morning seems odd for a UK company who normally would reveal it in a UK event. I think it’s saying that’s a livestream of the US open event (like they do for some events), and the new edition stuff is also part of the US open and people can see the new models in person there. So I think we’ll get a proper preview of the new box sometime just before then.

Yes it is. It is a good thing to know. It clearly indicates what is considered to be a permanent product and what isn't.

Idk, the US market is clearly massive, given the new series of Doctor who is being released at midnight UK time I'm not surprised really.

We’ll see, but reading it again the livestream they talk about definitely seems to be for the US Open as a whole, rather than specifically a new edition thing.
The event in Texas will be part of the US Open in Dallas, which is being held at the Esports Stadium Arlington, and runs from the 16th to the 19th of May. Attendees must also have a ticket to the US Open event, though there will be a live stream starting at 7pm local time on the 16th.’

I dont follow killteam releases. Are they going to do a seperate Mandrakes release? Want to use them as Tree Revenants.

they will but GW are weird about the timing, it could be like 6 months if they're being funny. I'd be willing to bet that the night lord half will be more popular so you could probably sell that half and the book and get the mandrakes cheaper than you will at solo release.

Yeah, but that's because the international release for Doctor Who is done by Disney now.

while that is the case, I still don't think having things be well timed for people in Europe is that much of a priority for big corporations these days
