  1. Agreed. I want a Priest for my faction now, please!
  2. I must have missed the bit where they said four battle formations apiece for each faction. So that means Hedonites will go from three up to four? Oooh. Well, that's intriguing. I wonder what it'll be...?
  3. I think there's a general feeling that something like a Slaughterpriest should have a chance of sticking it to a Kroxigor.
  4. I like that they've made Priests and Prayers quite different now, and they're not simply wizards-who-aren't-really-wizards anymore.
  5. I dunno... I feel that cross-allegiance alliances should be rare, and exceptional circumstances. Give them rules and we'd be seeing them all the time.
  6. Very excited! I played a game last night (which I comprehensively lost, in case you were wondering) and there were quite a few times I found myself thinking about how much smoother this'll be when the new edition rolls into town.
  7. That's such an important thing to remember. I habitually fall into that trap if I'm not careful... I'll be bingeing a telly show or something, and keep thinking that I should be painting my models. No! Bad thoughts. I should be able to do whatever I want with my free time! I'd also add that if you do step away from the hobby, you should be careful not to throw out the baby with the bathwater. I got fed up with it about fifteen years ago, and virtually gave away two full painted armies. I regret that hugely now.
  8. Pleasant, but hardly game-changing stuff. The Exalted Chariots still don't seem like a good option. The drop on Painbringers and Twinsouls is unexpected, but good.
  9. True. I guess I'd got used to keeping them tidy. But you're right, it is a design fault.
  10. I've never had that problem. How do you end up losing the 30%? I ask out of curiosity.
  11. I seem to remember someone was saying that standard bearers/musicians were going to be back to one per unit (a la Fantasy Battle). The "standard bearer (1/5)" on the Vindictors warscroll suggests otherwise. Which pleases me. I like the visuals of having my units festooned with banners and icons!
  12. Oooh... a new Exalted Chariot with Exalted Steeds pulling it. That'd be tasty.
  13. It was December 1994. I know that because it was my first ever issue of White Dwarf! There was also a free Wizard (1 from a mix of 8 plastic Talisman miniatures) roughly a year after that.
  14. Hah! I've always suspected that might be the case. They were certainly the most feminine of the Daemonette models from over the years. They just never really did it for me.
  15. I've never quite seen why people put those Diaz sculpts on such a pedestal. They were so tiny and delicate, I found them impossible to paint. And their poses were... odd. All on one leg. But that's just my opinion - I know hordes of people love them!
  16. I wouldn't object to that. But the fact that the parts are designed to be compatible with the Seekers and the Chariots means that they'd probably have to re-do the whole kaboodle. Can't see that happening any time soon.
  17. Ain't that the truth. I'd never touch a Citadel brush again.
  18. As an aside, when it comes to brushes, Reaper's sable ones are the real business. Really durable, and not too expensive (at least in my slice of the world).
  19. I don't know if the other factions had something similar, but I really liked this bit from the previous edition of the Hedonites book. Made it clear that it really was up to the painter's whims to decide what colours to use.
  20. Oh yes, I've tried a few colours of Two Thin Coats, and they impressed me. Their drawback is I can't find anyone in my slice of the world that stocks them, or get them delivered at an affordable price.
  21. OK, it's not as bad as the old Keeper of Secrets... but it's still a dud model in my opinion. Slaanesh had a history of rubbishy named hero miniatures back in the day; Dechala was another dog's breakfast. Thankfully AoS has paid us back tenfold! Oh, and I'd sacrifice a limb for a new Azazel model too. He's a great character, and has personal beef with Sigmar - he's a perfect fit!
  22. People keep telling me that I'll grow to loathe the Citadel pots once I spill one. Hah!
  23. I noticed they're describing the Men-at-arms as coming with the option of "polearms or hand weapons". An error, I'm assuming.
  24. I nearly always play Invaders, but that's mainly becsuse I like the lore and the Icon of Infinite Excess! Nothing more tactical than that. But no idea why we're suddenly doing better.
