Jamopower
So maybe the Mistweaver saith is one of Teclis' elves? The aesthetic has a lot in common to high elven mages.

I'm confused...the 4 Aelf factions pictured earlier don't seem to fit. The Idoneth are the sea Aelves (their full name is Idoneth Deepkin). Barkanaut
Hyped for Deepkin. However the Tau release could get me to change my mind.

Harioch
I'm genuinely intrigued about those Idoneth. If they get that Atlantean vibe it might make me hold back a bit to jump on DoK (as I love the myth of Atlantis...and Age of Mythology)...or just buy both and ally them...tought choice. Maybe 2019-2020.

Tiger
Managed to find a leaked page where the angelic aelves are mentioned. It's interesting that it's written as "luminous angelic creatures of reason". Reason seems fitting (d'oh) as it fits the domain of Hysh. The other part is sort of demolishing any hope to see older armies as liberated souls couldn't have been incarnated into old forms, the vibe I get here is as if there'd been a change in how entire universe and divinities work. Anyway I hope they draw some inspiration from the Devas.
Soulsmith
One thing I will say is in the interview with the DoK writer, he mentions "Aelven Legions". This seems too specific a name to just be made up on the spot. Wouldn't be surprised if the angelic creatures are more Teclis and the legions are Tyrion. Probably will get the Dark Elf units rolled in, though I would love Malerion to keep the black guard and cold one knights in some form.
MacDuff
I'm beginning to understand GW's delay in releasing Aelves - they've completely reimagined them for AOS and are giving each new force a very distinctive personality, unique ways of fighting, new models, inventing or transitioning centerpiece leaders, reintegrating appropriate old models, and somehow engineering Slaanesh into the fate of the Aelves so they can, in turn, do the same thing to Slaanesh's armies. The question is: will this Chaos God also get multiple armies?
Menkeroth
I would not expect this, really, rather he is more likely to get the treatment of other Gods. But skaven can get several tomes, sure.

Indeed, people were harping about GW dumbing down AoS "for the kids" when Slaanesh was revealed as imprisoned, but it makes all the more sense now with the return of the aelves. Edgecoc
Yeah, it seems they wanted to get the elf story down first. Might be starting two armies this year, Atlantean elves sounds awesome.
Menkeroth
It was obvious that they wanted to make with Slaanesh something interesting, and the elves got in line with him, although it did feel Slaanesh could have got squatted because his line is mostly old. But not bad.
Turgol
I agree that it was obvious and there was no sign of squatting. After all, in the very first WD after AoS launch, they introduced the Slaanesh missing story as something relevant to AoS.
Edgecoc
The Dark Elves were my favourite army for like 20 years. Two armies for them is amazing news. Really curious to see Malerions forces, but probably not for a while.
Menkeroth
If we do get sea elves then all the rest will have to wait long, that's for sure. But at least we will have two tomes, like the dwarves.
