  1. Also I have decided to make this a story and my last blog, when all of my heroes have died I will do a pot which is just all story, the story of the entire campaign. Also I should note that I said everyday, but that doesn't include weekends. Nor does it include bank holidays😕.
  2. Another short one I'm afraid, and I've only got a few left to go so I thought I would keep it alive by not merging this one into another one. This one was quite interesting to think up, I was wondering what was going to make my trench special. Then a few days later someone told me about using sand on your models to sort of look like grass, I wasn't interested at first since I already new what the bases of my models look like. Then I thought that that would be good in my trench, but what would make it special? Then I thought of grave-sand, and so it was decided. A grave-sand trench, and it could have rules that meant all death units (except Nighthaunts because of their etherial ability) could add one to save rolls in the trench. But what colour was grave sand? I had to think of that as well. Then I spent the entirety of two days thinking about what colours the trench was going to be then I decided it was going to be purple. To make it interesting though, I decided it could be purple, black and blue and the story was it was a trench for the dead and it had a flowing motion. It was the way it is because after digging the trench, they sprinkled special dust onto it. To physically make this, however, I got three pots of sand which I then coloured blue, black and purple. I mixed these and applied a layer of PVA glue to the trench and then I sprinkled the sand on and shook off what remained. And here it is: I think that the colours go quite well together in the end. I hope you enjoyed, even though it was quite a short one, but the next one is going to be long, and then we're done, I will do a little thing to finish it off. Thanks again, See you next time!
  3. This is my first (proper) entry on the blog, and it is going to be a bit of a boring one today, but next one is going to be quite long and detailed, so I'll start writing it now to ensure that it is the best quality. I did say in my last post that if I rolled something on the exploration table that wasn't a battle, I would do it as my second one any way... My first roll on the exploration table was: No, it wasn't 2, it was ! 9 on the exploration table is so I have to give one of my three heroes some treasure. I decided that I would go for artefacts before spells, and none of them are priests, so the question is, which artefact. I didn't even know which hero so I didn't have a clue of where to start. So I went to my natural fallback, the story. was my newest recruit (and my first conversion) so it seemed wise that Nagash would give her a little aid in this test, so I looked on her artefacts table and I chose: because it seemed to be quite powerful and also thematic because her actual blade looks all fancy (still unpainted) and I think it would be cool to have a blade that quenches your thirst (especially if I was a vampire (which I am definitely not 😉😈) So there that's it for today, tomorrow you're in for a treat, let me tell you! I hope you enjoyed it, I added the special effects to make it more interesting, and with battles I will use them for the rounds and whatnot, if you find it annoying please tell me. At the time of writing we have one feedback, which I'm saying counts as 3 likes towards adding photos to battles, if you are confused, see my last post. Thanks again! See you tomorrow!
  4. Ok. Thanks for the feedback. I am planning on making it seem a bit cooler by using cool fonts for all the battle round and stuff.
  5. I basically just spent a painting evening on online name generators (also my imagination helped, but not that much😒) and you can do it quite fast if you have quite a small army...
  6. So here in this entry I am going to introduce you to the idea of the campaign. If you know me or my army, you should know that I play exclusively death. I know Skeletons vs Nighthaunts is a bit weird but I have come up with a story (despite appearances). My heroes are: Crixius Shadowend, the Necromancer, Fonasphef The Exalted, the Wight King, and Vasilisa Rickenbacker, the Vampire Lord (or Lady) The story is that Nagash has sent them to an out to an outpost in Stygx (my army is from Stygx) where they are being tested to see whether they are worthy to serve at Nagash's side. Nagash will throw them random challenges and see if his heroes survive, and if so, how long for? I will release content daily (hopefully), but they will always be from rolls of the exploration table, so some days I will give you a summary of them healing and possibly some stats about who they've killed and what their command abilities/traits are. I will be playing the games on my themed board, (even though it is a bit smaller than the size it recommends to play) which you can see the development of in my other blog here. I have not taken photos because for me it is quite an effort and it will probably double the effort that it takes to make this anyway, but I can add photos if this blog (it does not matter which post) gets 10 likes or any other (nice) reaction, just to let me know that people are enjoying this and they would like the content to be of better quality. If you don't like it, don't feel pressure to like, it as I am not begging for extra likes, just feedback. I hope you enjoy, my first proper entry will be tomorrow.

This is the army I want to collect by the time I die (life will probably get in the way...😒) The plans are unfinished but I will be updating them. Eventually there should be one per death army. The estimated points total should be around 100 000 points with around 5 000 models!!! Here is the link to the spreadsheet. https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1hBlJ9N_fFNUDEpLmOumLUvSziILV9eLj2q1Sz7rS1Ig/edit?usp=sharing Just looking at it makes me fell excited...
  8. In this one I am going to paint most of my terrain; so that is the lava pool, the bridge, and the simple ground. Here we go! With the carving all done I started to add some colour to my “lava pool”. First I watered-down yellow, and applied it all over, then a heavy drybrush of orange (you can’t see it very well in the photo) Then a lighter drybrush of brown and then black. I then painted the ghostly ground with a watered-down green, to which I then did a heavy drybrush of blue and then a heavy drybrush of black to create the really ghostly underworld earth. Then I painted my bridge, starting with a basecoat of watered-down black, then a drybrush of grey mixed with black and finally a light drybrush of grey (left). Then because of it being above a lava pool, I added some glow effects (right). I started with a medium drybrush of orange then I proceeded to a light drybrush of yellow (I didn’t just do this for the bridge, I also did it around the lava pool). I hope that you enjoyed! Next one is going to be really short I'm afraid, doing some magic with the trench...
  9. What's the scenery in the backgound? (the one with the tomb banshees on)

I like what you've done with the base, and the fading is expertly done.

  13. This one is quite a short one, but I will do my next one tomorrow. First, I went to the beach and collected some driftwood, stones and shells… (I wasn't in lockdown at the time) And here you can see that I am positioning them on my model, I tried a few varieties of where they would go, but I was pretty certain of where I thought they would go already. I liked the idea that there would be a tree (stick) hanging over the lava pool. I was even at one point thinking about spraying the sticks white and applying hexwraith flame onto them, but I thought it wouldn't work. And here I am now wishing that I still had spray because it would be a fun idea to try out at least. Here I am using a hot glue gun to attach the hill, I also used the glue gun to attach everything else, but I didn't take a photo of it (and it happened right at the end so I wouldn't show it to you now). There that's it. Hope that you enjoyed, The next one is quite long, I am doing the painting. (don't get exited, it is not the most intricate painting in the world)
  14. This entry is of how I started to carve the area of my scenic board set in the realm of death. I started with these two pieces of equipment that I got on Amazon, below, you can see my electric foam cutter and my bottle of “ Vallejo Water Texture” Here is the scalpel that I used for more rough cuts I started with this piece of insulation foam. Then I did my first carving, as shown here. Here is the rough start of the positioning of my pieces. As you can see here I have made the terrain more rigid and natural rather than flat, sadly this took up a good 5 hours or so! I hope you enjoyed this! Next time will be quite short as I am attaching some boulders, hills and dead trees.
  15. I've created file that is based on the Glymmsforge Catacombs campaign that doesn't have the background art so it doesn't cost all the ink in the world to print. I have got a docs one and a pdf one, they are the same. Enjoy! https://docs.google.com/document/d/1OfBNwZlilVYfd_s3w8ZRX9LZal_LXOdPtWcRkZSec80/edit?usp=sharing P.S. The Battleplans at the end aren't quite the same size, sorry! P.P.S.I have not Included the Warscrolls, but if you have the Soul Wars set, or have lots of Nighthaunt models, you should have them anyway. Easy Print Solo Warhammer.pdf
  16. How did you make it so that the space for the map took up 2 of the 3 columns?
  17. Have you noticed that there is a problem with the boss table, where it says D6 when it should be D4. Or do you think that the 5 and 6 are just rampage, charge and advance. Thank you!

It's just beautiful, I love how nice the blue spirits look on Nagash, and Lady Olynder is beautiful and it is really nice how her banshees have that vibrant blue hair. I do feel though, that Lay Olynder would be easier to look at generally, if the black and the blue/white were swapped around, but that, I suppose would be less original.
