  1. The cards: Seems like it's possible to play a few variants of this warband, ranging from a more elite grave guard to a mass of skeletons. While I'm personally leaning towards a healthy mix, I can't but imagine what can be done with Vanhel's and a blob of warriors. Another interesting point is Necrotic Siphon. I might not have fully grasped the whole wild dice mechanic, but getting a fairly high triple doesn't seem that rare. Having guaranteed damage should let you play more conservative in that combat phase, even if it's just 3-4. Obviously, the ressurrect can be very situational, but bringing back a grave guard with 2h-weapon next to a juicy target might outshine the Siphon. Really looking forward to trying these guys out. Worried about the low speed, but I feel it might be manageable with some creative ability shenanigans.
  2. Any way to run priests/Humans of Nagash? Like the human priesthood that worships Nagash? Do they ally with death armies?
  3. Hey just wondering if anyone has any theories about the other 4 mortarch of nagash? He has always had 9. 9 advisors, 9 dark lords, 9 Mortarchs (end times) He currently has; Arkhan the Black: Mortarch of Sacrement Mannfred Von Carstein: Mortarch of Night Neferata: Mortarch of Blood Lady Olynder: Mortarch of Grief Orpheon Katakros: Mortarch of the Necropolis That's 5, Mortarchs usually are a total of 9 so where is the other 4? I think Vlad and Krell are good solid choices, maybe/hopefully ushoran, abhorash, U'soran/Melkhior, drachenfels.

  7. Hi folks, this is my 1st post actually I was just wondering who do you think is going to win the battle for the eight points? I think that since the Ossiarch just got introduced with Katakros depicted as a one of the greatest generals who has ever lived, they need to make him suceed to establish how threatening he can be. On the other end Chaos has been on the defensive since sigmarines got into the fight and they could also use a victory.. What do you think? Is this going to turn into another stalemate or a decisive victory?? Can't wait to read your opinion!
  8. Muerte4kvs4k (2).pdf Heyyyyyy booooooys. This weekend i have a 4k vs 4k (2 vs 2 players) agaisnt Nurgle and Sylvaneth, my mate will use Orruk warclans. 9. Hi Guys. With the new Legions of Nagash tome i thought it was a good time to put some effort into the old army as vampire counts was always my first love ever since i started fantasy in 7th edition. So as a first step with the process into getting them all on rounds and give them the TLC required to be my pride and joy again, I decided to spend the time and make some game aid spell, ability and artifact cards similar to what Killax and others have done for the chaos factions. This not only got the undead juices flowing but gave me an excuse to read all the book properly Images are either from GW books or just plain old google images and i cant take any credit for any of the art so hope thats not an issue... (mostly MTG I think) Hope you guys find then usable/enjoyable. C&C or suggestions on art are always appreciated. 10. When playing death vs death and both are using gravesites do both players place their four gravesites so they’ll be 8 on the table? Also can both players use the enemy’s for summoning, healing and placing units ‘in the grave’?
  11. Greetings! I had a little discussion with friends yesterday and we could not find a clear answer. There are a few mortal wound reflecting effects in the game at the moment. (Nagash's Morikhane or the Mirrored Cuirass artefact) How do these interact with indirect wounds like endless spells, or exploding wyldwoods? Nagash's rules state that you can reflect to the attacker. In our case that would mean that the reflect fails. Is that correct? In the case of the Cuirass, you can reflect in a 6" radius, which would mean you have the chance to bombard those mortal wounds coming from an endless spell right back to the enemy. Is that the case? Bonus question: Although the chances are low is it possible to ping pong a mortal wound between two characters provided both are lucky enough to roll sixes? Thanks fir the help!
  12. I’m new to age of Sigmar and was looking at Nagash’s wars roll which states that he knows all the spells of death wizards on the table, both friendly and enemy. But does Nagash forget the spell once another wizard is slain, off the table, or if using the ageless cunning ability from legion of night, would Nagash only know the spells of wizards once they have appeared?
  13. Version 4.00.00

Age of Sigmar started out simple enough. But the first General's Handbook changed a lot of things. Suddenly you could personalise a few things for your army with command traits for your general and artefacts for your heroes. Then dropped the first battletomes which included allegiance abilities. And the amount grew rapidly. Because I don't like flipping back and forth in my books for every other ability, I created some cards to help keep the important rules right at the table, beside your models. All cards are available as print files with 3mm bleed and cutting marks, as a 'web' version (for viewing on smartphones/tablets), US letter and DIN A4 printing sheet. each set contains: cover / card backside, Battle Traits, Command Traits, Artefacts, cards for spell lores and faction specific skills card size is 63 x 88 mm (same as Pokemon, Magic, 40k Datacards, etc.) language: English I tried to keep the original wording, but sometimes I had to abbreviate it to fit on the card without scaling down the font size. The rule intentions should still be clear. 'Dice' was continuously replaced with D3 or D6, 'wound roll' with 'To-Wound roll' (same for hit), 'Mortal Wounds' sometimes with 'MW' each set can be stored in a faction specific card box, with contents listed on the back (instructions) If you find any errors or have suggestions, please let me know. I had fun creating these cards and hope people will find them useful and have fun using them in their games. All rules, artwork and the Age of Sigmar logo © Games Workshop PLC These cards are for personal use only and you should always keep your General's Handbook and/or Battletome nearby to solve any conflicts from bad wording on the cards. These cards are only a playing aid and never could nor should replace an official publication. Please let me know if I have used anything you would like to be removed. Overview and changes

    And so it Begins

I have been piecing together some units whilst playing Path of Glory at my LGS, so far so good, my spare skeletons seem to mesh well with the old Glade Guard models. I wanted a Necromancer and the Wayfinder just had that look about him, i removed his bow and quiver, fitted him with a spare banner pole that has been trimmed down and i will be adding some skulls and extra fetishes to complete the look. Blood Knights are being represented by Sisters of the Thorn with Wild Rider weapons and helmets, this gives them a decently armour look without losing the elfness. i managed to get a lucky bag on ebay which contained about 40 Glade guard and 6 glade riders (but no horses) the riders are perfect for making Black Knights in the same theme as my warriors and thankfully the glade guard had a hand full of swords so i have enough for 20 skeleton warriors with swords and boards. Lots more chopping to do, but hopefully i will have these put together and base coated soon enough!
  15. Anyone have any thought, hopes dreams, army builds ideas about Nagash and his unquiet minions? Im hoping that nighthaunt get a decent chance
  16. TL:DR Do you believe gw intend allies never gain from allegiance abilities or do the rules allow for it to potentially apply? Hi, please discuss and be nice to everyone. I want this to be a thought provoking process not a how to break the system. No one wants that. With that allow me to explain a theory I have with allies having recently purchased the Legions of Nagash battle time. Reading the allegiance abilities of each kind of army I've noticed the rule for Deathless minions is this, 'Roll a dice each time you allocate a wound or mortal wound to a friendly DEATH unit within 6" of your general or another friendly DEATH HERO. On a 6+ the wound is negated' This is the same as it is for the Grand Alliance AA. Now I'm building a Legion of Nagash force (not yet decided on the specific legion yet). But I'll likely want to use some of my painted Flesh Eaters to get me into a game sooner. But this got me thinking, when do these abilities apply to allies if at all. In the GHB17 for the Flesh Eaters AA it has a similar except it specifies FLESH-EATER COURTS as the keyword which 100% rules out applying to any allies. So again does that mean in the LoN book was it a deliberate choice to keyword DEATH instead of LEGION OF NIGHT for example. So again in GHB17 on page 76 I decided to read up about allies. It states 'Allied units are treated as part of the player's army, except that they are not included when working out the army's allegiance or the number of battleline units in the army, and an allied unit cannot be the general.' So that states they are part of your army for all intents and purposes. Other than the general it doesn't state allied heros can't have an artifact thought I'm not 100% convinced they can. However the next bit in GHB17 is telling when it comes to AA, 'Remember that in most cases allegiance abilities only work for units with the appropriate keyword, ' and then the book provides and example. I underlined 'most' because that is what got me thinking that the GHB17 isn't ruling out AA applying the allies. So going back to LoN book, Deathless minions for each of the 'Legion of xxx' and the Grand host of Nagash' AA may now mean that even an allied DEATH HERO can provide the ability. There is more to discuss, especially concern the Magic selection but I think the above is at least a good starting discussion. It also makes me wonder if anyone has noticed in other battletomes similar keyword uses that may have been missed that could apply to allies.
  17. Sometimes you arrange a 2000 point casual game in your local GW and someone brings Nagash, Arkhan & 2 x Morghast… To be fair I had tailored a Khorne army to smack around his Tzeentch army last time we met so all is fair in love and war ? At first I was dismayed as I only had a fairly run of the mill Stormcast force, using the hammerstrike battalion but with very little in the way of unbinding/mortal wound protection and was clueless as to how I would take down Nagash let alone his friends. However AOS is first and foremost an objective game which means on your day anyone has a chance if they play to the scenario. We used Open War cards and the scenario was to burn the 3 objectives in your opponent’s half for the win. Given the objectives only needed to be destroyed at the end of your turn if they were uncontested and not held, this meant Scions of the Storm had the potential to be decisive so I was not without hope. With this in mind I placed both units of liberators in the sky together with the prosecutors and of course the 2 units of retributors from the battalion. On the table went both units of Judicators, one on either flank, along with the Vanguard Raptors and all 4 heroes. Nagash stood proud front and centre with Arkhan on his right and the Morghast on his left, assorted units of skeletons and grave guard sitting behind on the objectives or awaiting their time in the grave. I won initiative and gave Death the first turn. This proved a good move as offensive spells were out of range and I needed a double turn somewhere if I was to be any chance. Nagash came strolling forward, quite rightly without a care in the world, as did Arkhan and the Morghast. My heroes put out their buffs and then it was onto movement. I’ve had games where units have stayed in the clouds until turn 4 or 5 and been next to useless however this was a game where I would have killed to have a until come down late onto an objective. Of course both liberators and the prosecutors all passed their roles and came down straight away… sigh… I sent some liberators to the far left corner and used the other unit to screen my judicators on the left, supported by the Lord Castellant and Celestant on foot. The Judicators on the left shot at Arkhan and did a couple of wounds. Seeing as the prosecutors came down I figured I would go all in with the hammerstrike on Nagash, although I held back the Celestant on Dracoth figuring I needed him alive as long as possible. After being shot by Judicators and Raptors, missed with the Dracoth breath (as I would all game) and forgetting to shoot with the prosecutors (my bad), and being hit by the first super charged retributor unit, Nagash had taken 8 wounds… just 8 more to go ? Nagash struck back and wiped the second unit of retributors before they could swing and there the combat ended. Death started round 2 where Nagash proceeded to cast spell after spell with glee, healing wounds and nerfing my forces along the way. I did have the spellshield for unbinding but with +3 to casting rolls I think his lowest roll was 11… sigh… Then in combat something unexpected… Nagash retreated (that’s good) But the Morghast charged the Retributors instead (that’s bad). Arkhan also withdrew and charged the Liberators who had dropped into the Death territory while a unit of grave guard hit them from the other side. The Morghast wiffed and only killed a single Retributor, taking 5 wounds in return, while only a single Liberator fell to Arkhan (allowing him to heal the wounds caused earlier) and the grave guard. My turn 2 and my shooting and retributors made short work of the Morghast (they’re not so tough) while my liberators and judicators on the left continued their advance down the flank. The Liberators in combat with Arkhan and the grave guard again stood tall, losing another member but holding strong. It was here that I won initiative for a crucial double turn heading into round 3. The Celestant on Dracoth and Prosecutors charged the skeletons sitting on the right hand objective while the retributors stupidly charged Nagash. In hindsight I should have just used the retributors to screen the objective from Nagash as they died horribly in melee as the previous unit had. The liberators on the left continued to hold off Arkhan while I successfully cleared the skeletons off the objective and burned it at the end of my turn to take the lead. At the bottom of round 3, Nagash did his spells, then charged and killed the Celestant on Dracoth while another unit of grave guard accounted for the prosecutors. Arkhan finally moved away from combat with the liberators back to the centre with a view to start heading towards the objectives in my territory. I won initiative turn 4 and sent the remaining unit of liberators into combat with the grave guard on the left while the Judicators pulled back to block Arkhan’s path to the objective. At the bottom of turn 4 Nagash moved back towards the right flank however it was clear that he wouldn’t be able to reach my 2 objectives in the right corner. Arkhan charged and killed the Judicators on the left and now had a clear line to the objective, guarded by a single Gryphhound. Not much for me to do in round 5, killed some graveguard and attempted to retreat the lord castellant onto an unmarked objective but he fell several inches short. Had he made it I would have burned it for an unassailable lead. Remember how I said it would have been nice to have a unit come down from Scions at this point? Our allegiance ability seriously sucks… In the final turn Arkhan made his charge on the poor gryphhound, burned the objective and we came away with a draw! The primary lesson out of this was always play the scenario! My opponent was guilty of chasing after my units in his backfield and losing site of my objectives until it was almost too late. Nagash is killable however I really struggle to see what Stormcast could bring that would do enough damage, and if you don’t take him out he has so many options for healing up wounds. The constantly returning skeletons and graveguard are a pain but they don’t really do much. Overall an enjoyable game and at least I can say I fought Nagash and lived… mostly…
  18. 1. Do I have to fix a broken unit coherency when respawning summonable models to a unit? 2. Is there a distance limit where I can set up new models relative to the undead hero?
  19. Hey there, so I recently got myself into the system. Started off with death battleforce, which im very satisfied of by the way. Now I have opportunity to bulk buy collection for silly money. The problem Is that this collection is mostly nighthaunt. When I first decided to play AoS I chose death faction to go with Nagash, bunch of skeletons, necromancers etc. but mostly around Nagash himself. Now after that offer I really pulled my mind off the big one and appreciated simplicity of scary sheets (nighthaunts), especially Mournguls. I would like to add that me, and my friends plan on going after major events, thats why I want competetive army. My question is as follows: are Nighthaunt good enough to get a decent postion at major event? I guess you can suprise opponent by just picking this army, but what is real nighthaunt potential? I'd really appreciate some experiances shared over tournaments with Nighthaunt. Also dont hesitate and share your death army competetive experiance overall. Thanks

Hey, all. Like the title suggests, I am at the end of my rope. I'm trying to piece together a death army, but I'm spending so much time bouncing back and forth between ideas that I'm actually losing sleep over it. I want to be sure that, before I invest heavily into this army, it is viable. Now, I don't mean I NEED to win the next big ol' tournament, just that the army works to an extent, and isn't just a ramshackle assortment of units. I want to be sure I'm spending money on units that will be of true use. Cash isn't quite as expendable these days,so if I'm going to indulge this habit, I had to be careful(ish). If possible, AT ALL, I would love to to piece together an army that takes advantage of the models-in-waiting that I already have, namely: A mortarch kit, A Mortis Engine kit, and Nagash himself (though i doubt he'd make it) I'm leaning toward 2000pts, something size-able but not absurd, and I really need help or suggestions on this. With what I have, I would love to make the following: (Grand Host of Nagash) Arkhan Necromancer Necromancer Mortis Engine 40x Skeletons w/spears 10x Grave Guard 10x Grave Guard 5x Hexwraiths 4x Morghast Harbingers & Lords of Sacrament formation. Any advice on this would be truly, truly appreciated. Thanks in advance!

  22. Hey guys, I’m running a spell heavy sacrament list and I’m wondering if anyone has made some good spell cards. I made some with magic card generator but I don’t feel the picture needs to be there. Anyone have a good idea how to make these?
  23. I just got the book and I'm playing the hypothetic liste game. Here is the list: Battleline Skeleton warrior (X30) 240 Skeleton warrior (X30) 240 Skeleton warrior (X20) 160 Black knight (X5) 120 Grave guard (X10) 160 Mortis engine 180 Arkhan the black 320 Necromancer 110 Necromancer 110 Wight King 120 Corps Cart 80 Battalion Lords of sacrement 70 Deathmarch 110 Total 1 990pts This liste works with Legion of Nagash and legion of sacrement. First of all, with the battalions you have 2 extra artefacts and it is only 3 drop ! (So you almost always have first turn). I Know There is no "heavy Hammer" unit. But with the "deathly invocation" (that you can reroll Thanksgiving to the corps Cart) and "invigorating aura" you are gonna have lot of modeles back in the unit in a way that you can wrap around enemy unit (so more attack). Legion of sacrement: gives +1 to cast. So it goes to a total of +3 to cast. Legion of Nagash: you get "legion innumerable" that give every summonable unit and extra D3 wound/model in the hero phase (on a 5+). Sorry for the long post. What do you think about the list ? I Know it doesn't hit hard but you can control the field and some if the spells are nasty.
  24. New cards are up: Two things to note: 1. it has the new size of 63 x 88 mm, previously tested with Maggotkin of Nurgle This is the same size as X-Wing pilot cards, Magic or Pokemon cards and will therefore fit a lot of sleeves. It has better readability, the print should be clearer on medium class printers and the cover should pop more. I'm working on redoin the old cards all in this new size and will update alll download links soon to these versions. 2. LoN has over 110 cards included, due to 6 different allegiances and 2 spell lores. Therefore, it doesn't fit the normal card boxes I designed for 40/70 cards. Together with the new size, I'm working on a solution to still cram the card box onto A4 sheets. Have fun.
  25. Dracula

    Black Knights

First things to be painted. I kept the knights off the horses to make them easier to paint and mixed in grave guard parts to give the two units a unified look
