At last! Some Leaks Rumors!!

I was thinking it has been a little while since we've had any cryptic hints from our resident Old One, you know who. Anyone have the power to summon them? I want some more picture hints like that happy little rat picture in a forest we got before echoes of doom was announced.

The Varghulf Courtier is fast, tough, and dishes out a serious punch in combat. He’s got five Damage 2 attacks and one Damage 3 attack, for a total of six – but of course, add one attack to each weapon if he’s affected by his or another hero’s Feeding Frenzy, for a total of eight. And thanks to his King’s Champion ability, you can add another two to each attack if he’s hunting infantry, for a total of twelve attacks – and a potential output of 28 Damage in one combat phase!

Morbheg Knights are terrifying when they bound in with a Shrieking Charge, spreading around mortal wounds before combat even begins. The Cryptguard are surprisingly tanky with a 5+ ward save, and as a Royal Bodyguard, they help make your heroes tougher too. Combine that with the Standard Bearer halving the amount of models that flee, and it takes a long time to cut them down!

What’s more, before a game begins, the Flesh-eater Courts pick a Delusion. Dan chose The Feast Day, which meant Feeding Frenzy activated for heroes with 4 noble deeds points, not the full 6. This turned out to be huge – Dan’s army almost always had an extra attack on every melee profile in combat, inciting a full-on slaughter.

A horde army character built to kill hordes of infantry? Oh that's just downright evil GW...... I'll take two or three of them.

I'd love some tzeentch sorcerer warriors

FINALLY someone besides me has the right idea! You most noble soul, I could kiss you! Fight the good fight with me - heavily armored mortal Tzeentch warriors, maybe the unit can cast a spell or two - the perfect answer to blight kings, chosen and the like. Maybe a small unit like exalted sorcerers…

and new Tzeentch Forsaken would be fitting as well!

Ah, alas, a glorious day, finally I‘m not alone!

Not counting Ushoran it's definitely in my Top Three, behind the new flying hero and the knights.

Yeah, if it's the big thingy in the new box, he's probably my second favorite. So handsome and deadly? What a nice combo!

Was thinking about all three edition launches of AOS. Khorne got a ton of new stuff but was an already established army. This makes sense as it was a new game and wanted an easier transition, just like TOW is doing with its starter armies. This makes sense from a business standpoint because you want to make an easier ramp into a new launch.

However, nighthaunt and Kruleboyz were completely new aesthetics. This is important because they want people to HAVE to buy new models.

If Skaven is going to be a launch army for 4.0 it doesn’t make sense for them to redo kits and sell them. They will lose some buyers because people don’t want to spend money on a new model. This leads me to believe that we will get a completely new type of Sub faction of Skaven. Similar to Kruleboyz andWarclans.

The problem with that logic is that they did redo several models for Tyranids and Necrons in 40k when they were the starter box factions.

This is a good counter point as Tyranids would very similar to Skaven relaunch. My only push back would be those revamps came in later editions. I wonder if they would roll that type of revamp for 4th edition of the game. However, to go along with your point even more Idomitus and levithan box sold very well.

If Skaven are going to be in the 4ed box (and I believe they will) it's pretty much a given there will be old units that will be revamped.

Plauge monks, night runners and rat ogres are dated, awful looking models.

Plus there are still units in finecast and metal.

Will there be brand new kits, I sure there will, but the majority will be updated old kits.

The way GW has been on a roll as of late I can't wait to see what they'll do. New rat ogres done with today's technology and sculpting style = take my money!

I don't think age is an issue when you consider Skaven didn't debut in Age of Sigmar, they debuted in Warhammer Fantasy Battle.

I would also bet on (some) updated models, but of course the other option for these dated models is that they will just be cut (hey you can play them in Old World) and not replaced 1:1 -the City of Sigmar model of army update.

I think clanrats and stormvermin still look great and easy to paint. I would rather see some stormvermin cavalry on big mutated rats. If they want to make something for the basic clanrats/stormvermin.

I really hope for new battleline units for the other clans (redone plague monks and etc...) In the starter.

Is someone else facing problems to preorder this week?

The store where I purchase my minis usually closes the preorders on Monday. As they didn't ask me to pay I wrote them on Tues and they told me GW was changing the way they handle preorders. I am still waiting.

Did anyone else hear anything related to this change?
