The Rumour Thread

Recommended Posts

What gives me hope about new gitz is that GW have been good in making most new books make the armies play like you feel they should.

I would like it to be something similar to how Nurgle play with their disease points in that the army gets stronger and stronger the more the bad moon affect the battle (and let us keep it on the board the whole time thank you!). Enemies gets debuffed and Gitz gets buffed until everything is covered in mushroom.

New theory: Sigmar became a beastman and the current "Sigmar" is a lizardman/illuminati puppet. Wake up, everyone!

Edit: Age of Sigmar -> Era of the Beast... It is all connected!

The lightning fast turnaround on Kill Team: Shadowvaults and now War Cry: Sundered Fate has me raising an eyebrow. Wonder if the first boxes were meant to release earlier in the year, or if these are turning up early?

I'll probably grab some of the Horns of Hashut dice and warband. Anything else would be a blasphemy to the Father of Darkness and we need to send GW the right signals.

They are turning up when GW said they would, every 3 months.

They would have to be a very, very good standalone unit if they had no synergies with Gloomspite keyworded stuff.

Well going by their lore the Snarlfangs should mingle as:

Moonclan: fast forward scouts, the Loonking hires them as they worship the Suns of the Realms as an aspect of Mork so operate in the bright light of Ghur & Hysh that the Moonclan can’t until Da Bad Moon intervenes. So some standard buffs the other Grots can’t get until moon-powered would fit.

Spiderclan: Snarlfangs are just as venomous and fast as their spider cavalry as they poison prey with toxic fangs then stalk them as they weaken(like Komodo Dragons) so should get their sub-factions venom boosts and where Spiders ignore terrain the Snarlfangs should run faster around.

Also will put in my hopes for a new Troggoth. People have been saying that one on the Gallet cover is new so probably that as a Juvenile Rockgut sub-species option that acts as cheaper Troggherd infantry.

Between Yarrick and now Valten I am pretty happy with Chaos taking down the heavy hitters. Although it took a mighty demon prince to take down the man with the robot hand and an angry Goat to take down the Chosen of Sigmar 😆

still, it usually takes a hero and a few other things to make certain units stand out, not saying they can't do it on the rules side, but Snarlfang rider did came out of leftfield if it was just a standalone unit. like say if it was new Spider riders instead, it would have made a certain amount of sense even though the lack of hero model is still driving me nuts

Could be a spider hero. That Gallet incarnate is still scuttling on the rumor horizon and a spider Grot shaman accompanying it with Snarlfang bodyguards it’s venom boosting(like a more effective Gobbopalooza Spiker) would do wonders. 🕷 (perhaps even herald something for a future Warcry band with the Spiderclans so heavy in the central Gnarlwoods.)

well at this point I rather they just build up Gitmob and the Snarlfang rider and just do spider some other time in future editions, since it would feel like they didn't know what to focus on if they all of a sudden pivot to spiders.

of course, since Warcry isn't tied to a mainline release, i have a feeling Spiderfang is in the last boxset in May due to the Christmas pins being spiderfang (for some reason).

Thanks for the summary, I was just wandering what was left. 40k battleforces must be next week now ours have dropped, but it looks like one solid week of specialist games should do it. I wonder what the hold up with those jet bikes was, everything else from Necro us out.

Very Cool Goblins, gotta say though, that Beastmen coming out with just a book and one plastic unnamed lord is pretty heartbreaking.

Could very well just be me, but I’d rather see efforts focused on the Characters they keep teasing in lore rather than the 80th War ry terrain set of the year. Trees are cool, but not as cool as Morghur.

I am now hoping that Morghur at least gets a Kragnos/Vashtorr Styled End of Edition release. But we also need a new Shaggoth.

Between Ogroids and Kragnos I feel like GW was working on a massive Beast rework and then divided the units between other factions... 😢

I mean in reality they never intended or never plan to make any beast of chaos models to begin with

Any ideas on price point for sundered fate?

I’d assume cheaper than heart of ghur, as less contents, no core book & dice etc?

Just took a look at kill team which is in the most similar situation to warcry

Into the dark, which was sort of a new edition starter, cost £130 at GW and is in every way similar to heart of ghur (but I don't remember the price of that lmao)

Shadowvaults, which is similar in contents to Sundered Fate, cost £110, so I'd expect a similar price for our lovely chameleons.

So in conclusion, cool stuff is still expensive
