  1. So im gonna be playing LON in a campaign starting next week. My List is: Necromancer Senichal GG w/ Great wight blade GG w/ Sheild 4x spear skelly 5x blade skelly coming out at 985pts Does this look like it will be semi- good at least? Has anyone any tips?
  2. Man its truly amazing how large a PR blunder this book has been. And how little it would have taken to minimize it. Had they spent 10 minutes to write a list and some notes on the design thoughts this whole kerfuffle could have been minimized. People are always going to be upset when units get retired but sneaking out a semi-announcment after most model set have sold out then ignoring the upset customers for as long as they have really is GW squandering a ton of the good will they built up recently.
  3. In part I wonder if this is a effort to downsize factions to match most of the new ones. For example most army's ( Slayers/ ko .ect only have 3-5 units and then a few hero's.
  4. Well the unforged was kind of expected, he never really fit in aos. But the cannons loss is mighty odd. Quarrelers and thunderers I grudgingly accept were redundant and had severely outdated models in a combined force. Still I'm sad to see them go. I forsee it being only a matter of time before the end of the dispossessed however as this does not bode well. I hope I'm wrong but I'm not very confident in that.
  5. When they first came out I recall the stormcast were supposed to be significantly larger than humans. With the old free people models this bears true. However I just got a excelsior war priest and he is just about as tall and broad as a stormcast. What size lore wize are stormcast? Does the warpriest just happen to also be a giant among men?
  6. I just noticed on their community page if you look at the army's on display shelves. Gut busters and beast claw are mixed together on the same shelf. Could be an indication of an upcoming merger of ogres into one.
  7. Honestly the gun hauler was rubbish in combat.it Landed 1 shot through the whole game. However it's movement ability was crucial to me doing objectives when facing a elites only army. I took a gamble and etheriald my king rather than pickaxing, so it was all the non 4" movement I had. Its weapons are a bit too random to rely upon imo but when they work they work. But that 12 movement... it's nice to have something that can easily react to changes in the game.
  8. I had a a normal 1000pts game versus Fec. My iron drakes iron warden on the first turn managed to hit one of his royal terrorghiests with both grudge hammer torpedos and then rolled 2 6s for damage. ended up with a major victory (due to my allied gun hauler burning 3 of his objectives on duality of death) and a death toll of 2 royal terrorghiest, 1 ghoul king ,and 3 crypt horrors on his side and 10 Longbeards, 20 hammerers and a warden king on mine. Now the records stands at like 2W vs 6L. Lol

  10. I just had my first semi serious game at 1000pts versus 2 terrorgheist gristlegore. The highlight of the match was when after the flame spitter dinged a royal terrorgheist for 2d my grim wrath charged and actually not only survived 2 rounds of attacks by the ghiest but had his retaliation and killed it in one combat phase ( normal and after fight fighting )

  12. I would like to see deep subterranean dwarves. Heavily based on mining and blasting. Stone hewn armor and tunneling machines. Golems maybe.
  13. Honestly Even thought the monsters look great their performance has been kinda lackluster I would recommend a runesmiter on foot and 20 vulkites. Gives your army a deepstrike ability much better than the pick.
  14. I love the idea of runelords having some bite of their own. maybe "summon able " versions of the warden kings oath stone or just like a line of ghostly ancestors which add to bravery or defense in some manner.
  15. In yalls opinion is it ever worth taking just gun haulers without anything bigger? I have been having trouble with khorne banner men hiding behind terrain and was thinking of using them as sniper units as allies to my dissposesed. Thoughts?

  17. I never lose fairly. If i did it was because the enemy cheated and refused to fight like a proper dawi. Then the cheaters name goes in the grudge book. But.... man does khorne have a lot of entrys in that book.
  18. Hey yall. What is the base size on the charnel throne? I'm thinking of making a custom one to fit my army better but I've no idea of scale.
  19. Hey just to throw it out there, what percentage of your games as disspo are you fellas winning? I've played about 10-15 games and won only once. To be fair I've mostly fought khorne and bcr, but I have very little luck no matter the tactics I try. I'm starting to consider shelving my dwarves until some sort of update happens. when I play as my gut busters I usually win or at least come close but with my dwarves it's usually a crushing defeat.
  20. I'm pretty sure his utility lies in his lead by example command ability. No battleshock within 12 of him. And he has a 3 up plus look out sir so he's pretty hard to range down.
  21. Has anyone thought that the grundstocks being a pmc basically should have unified color scheme apart from that of the baraks? Like what happens when units that were working with ziflin get shifted to mhornar? Do they repaint all their gear or what?
  22. I really think we need back Joe bugman and miners. Or at least a hero and unit that work like them. The dispossessed theme is choose a option and stick with it come hell or high water, giving us a bigger range of options would help offset the fact that we can't really change course once it's decided due to our movement.
  23. I'd second that we need more hero's as our infantry is serviceable and just needs a bit of buffing to really shine (excuse the pun). Perhaps bring in a new totem hero holding a relic, or a priestess that can drive the dwarves near her into a defensive frenzy. And some war machines would not go amiss.
