  1. Yeah, having to look in 3 different books is annoying at best but yet, we have everything we need. Only one cast of each endless spell each turn, no recasting as long as the first one is still here in matched play. And Endless spell dissipation happens before anything else in the turn. By the way, i am looking for a 1500 point list for a tournament but fail to do something convincing. Does someone have an idea?
  2. Is there any consensus about the best stormhost aviable for us at the moment? And for what reason?
  3. Why wouldnt you make asteria a normal Lord? Such a waste to build a Lord from a 3man box.
  4. Do you all use two full shipwreck or do you use only one that you split (or not)?
  5. I think they can compete for the top3 of the worst unit in the game. If you can, refrain from using them.
  6. Depends on the spells he casts, if he has a spell that can move him in the hero phase or if a spellportal is present. Can be infinite with conditions. Nothing, Every wizards has trouble to cast under the effect of the banner EXCEPT thoses who have +1/+2/+3 to cast like Nagash Arkhan
  7. Had a nice game today too against Nagash (litteraly) with : Pilgrim 3 priest 1 secrator 2X10 Warriors 1X10 Reavers 2X5 Skullreaper 1X5 Wrathmonger Aspiring Deathbringer, bloodstocker 3 Juggernauts Against Nagash Necromancer, Nighthauntwizard, 20 Chainrasp 40 Skeletons 2 Morghasts Spellportal Genimis Xerus On chamon full rules used except from the Battlefield traits where we used the 1°do nothing. (Quite fluffy to play Khorne on the METAL realm after all) Scenario = focal point I used 3X the bloodprayer to pump Tithe points in hope to summon some big red deamons but i quickly realised i would had to keep them to block some critical spells like the spellportal/Geminis. Nagash is a pure horror when it comes to casting 8 revelant spells and priests cannot do anything to unbind him. What saved me is that i refrained to burn the Brazen rune on the Aspiring Deathbringer so he can survive and give +3 attacks on all my units when the first combat phase happened. That move saved me as i wouldn't be able to chew his big units otherwise. The Morghast ate the Crushers then died to 11 mortal wounds from the prayers. The priests then began to make blood flow from Nagash who died from a large combinaison of prayers/random hits/lastbreath from Skullreapers. When the dust settled i was far ahead on the points, keeping him in his side but i had 8! mordels left including 3 woundeds Priests and he was rebuilding his last unit, the 40 skeletons and a necro. Some thoughts : You can't do much aganst expert spellcasters like Morathy/Arkhan/Nagash, the +X spellcasting/extra range is too much to endure and you cannot reliably dispell them. Forced rerolls is useless against the too. During the game, i summoned a Bloodthirster on turn3 that failed his 9" charge with rerolls and did nothing relevant, By the end of the movment of the turn4 i could also summon a pack of 20 Bloodletters but i refrained as i really needed to autounbind a nagash casted dance macabre. 4++ / 2++ against spells are outrageous now XD Extra bloodtithe points are nice but i missed the +1 to hit prayer, expecially on Reapers/Mongers. Purple sun can be very stressful, it did very few in this game but earlier in the day, that same list took 1000 points in one single Nagash magic phase against my idoneths. Gorepilgrim is still nuts, i didn't miss the Goretide.
  8. Shame on you. I don't recognize your spirit here. This new thread is a shadow of the old one. I saw a ton of theorycraftshit and absolutely zero battle report and game analysis. I do have a vastly different opinion, based on a few real testing : the summoning table is a thing and the aspiring deathbringer is a very cool new toy.
  9. Less rend, less wounds, but much much faster. What i don't like in the SBrute is the lack of TENTACLES compared to the Khorgorath. oh wait, there is a bunch fo tentacool things in the Sbrute kit!
  10. Unless you summon them in the hero phase where some whipe can happen.
  11. i am not that pessimistic. I realy think that Khorne summoning is a thing. Here is what i suppose : -Khorne alligeances blessings will get the same tratment as Khaine's aka "rule of one" except for the D6 dammage and the "run toward me" -Each player will still play the usual 10-13 unit armies which means that there is 20-26 BT points to harvest. -Skaar and Karanak will become almost mandatory in each lists just for beeing opressive recursing or lowrisk-medium reward items -Playing bloodmarked can become popular, even at 200 points, still less drops, +1 artefacts and +1 command point. -Just poping a Bloodthirster/20 Letters still nets you an excess of ~240-300 points compared to the ennemy. That is not nothing. I know a lot of you are frowning at the unbuffed Bloodthirster, but he is still present where he shouldnt be. -How to get to 7-8 BT points at least twice in a game? Yes, we all saw the trick of the Bloodmarked/Bloodblessing but the Rule Of One Is Coming for sure. yet there is a ton of unseen artifacts that sleeps in the codex that nets you extra BT points. I mostly thinks about the Daemon weapon that needs you to make 8 dammage, quite easy on a Immensely powered Bloodthirster and also the Endless bloodbath weapon that need you to kill at least one model to get a point (Bloodbound weapon) -The mark of the destroyer still nets you a chaos spawn ? Also, did you noticed, all of you that have the App/Azyr, that all your khorne heroes have command abilities reworked so all of them doesn't need to be general?
  12. @Smed1986 Very nice. I played something similar this week end with great sucess. I like your deck even if some of your choices like Leap and Warmaster leaves me cold.
  13. Prety much. The base movement 2 might be bad but you have access to numerous movement ploys and upgrades, not counting your exalted status to compensate. You also are less dependant of +1 might upgrades.
  14. In the current system, you are encouraged to refrain charging two deathstars at the same time because one of your units will get butchered, which is kinda counter intuitive. It didn't destroy 40k because of the sole presence of the associated stratagem (which i think will come here too) which allow you to steal the combat initiative between two charging units.
  15. Hello. Nice writeup ! Glad to read all this I am a little bit unsure about the Undulant Scourge ruling as my (english and french) rulbooks says that the nearest ennemy model is affected and there is no choice for me to select a perticular model with tons of friends around. Maybe i read it wrong.
  16. Stardrake's starfall ability! Stormcast confirmed! tuutuuuduuu ! pew pew!
  17. Hey I do have a ruling-question about the bloodstocker for this tournament : Considering you can run AND charge (thanks WoKBT), doest the bloodstocker allow you to add +3 to run AND charge rolls or do you have to choose one. FYI, GW i not adamant on one or the other but this question will have a treatment on the next Khorne FAQ. (It says "run OR charge" but it doesn't seems to be exclusive as the usual "either" is not present) Thanks in advance
  18. Good news! Well, the hard part is still here, building a FS army is still very expensive, but now a little bit less. Compared to Stormcasts, every 50€/58$/35£ brings you 200-300 army points where in FS army, it brings you 120 points.
  19. I wish this could be a new stormcast hero (AGAIN!?) the "starsinger" that blast his ennemies with his mighty voice. LALALALALAAAAA.
