The Rumour Thread

Recommended Posts

If the schedule had slipped, I would have assumed they'd have published an updated roadmap in the last stream.

Personally I expect them to stick to the existing roadmap and release DB3 in the next few weeks.

DB4 will then follow at the beginning of Dec with a StD-style army box for Fec.

That will then allow them to release the full Fec army in early 2024, once again in the same vein as StD.

I don't think that's unrealistically ambitious.

Even without FEC and dawnbringer 4 everything will be really rushed. We still need get full cities and dawnbringer 3, that is already huge AoS release for this small period we have left.

And would be pretty likely that the CoS release would take a 2 weeks preorder, which doesn't help to fit stuff in the schedule.

What do we expect after Dawnbringers 4?

I assume that a new Dawnbringers 5 with maybe a few Chaos heroes? And then Skavens vs Stormcast in 4.0 AoS?
Is there any rumor that points to anything for Kharadrons or Kruleboyz? I can't remember anything appart from Killaboss Zagnog, but I'm still waiting for a chance to buy Mugruk so...

Ghyran is more easy to think what is comming.

- Morghast Hunter with the Archai Army of Renown
- The Summerking and their escort.

For Aqshy we need to wait to read the book.

KO and Orruk Warclans get their own army of renown. Their appearance seems closed.

Wait what ? Is that a thing ? It is a rumor or in story?

We know that Nagash is searching him.
We know that the Morghast Archai are directly controlled by Nagash instead other Ossiarch that have some initiative.
We have two Morghast rumour engines, and the campaign is the best opportunity to launch big heros.
And, finally, Morghasts are too big for Warcry

Chaos space marine codex

q3

aos4 stormcast vs skaven

Just checked the article again and there's no mention of a two week pre-order this week which explains why it's a small one.

I count 9 pre-order dates left this year.

Oct 21st necromunda

Oct 28th legions Imperialis

Nov 4th cities

Nov 11th kill team

Nov 18th Christmas boxes

Nov 25th Dawnbringers 3

Dec 2nd Necrons with 3 kits and random stuff.

Dec 9th flesh eaters launch box / underworlds

Dec 16th Christmas mini

Jan 6th Dawnbringers 4 / warcry

Jan 13th heresy stuff

Jan 20th flesh eater courts

Jan 27th admech and kill team

Feb  3rd old world 2 week pre-order

Feb 17th dark angels launch box

Feb 24th black library day

March 2nd orks and Custodes

March 9th Dawnbringers 5

March 16th Killteam and/Horus

March 23rd dark angels

March 30th warcry and Underworlds

April 6th tau/ Kroot

April 13th specialist games stuff

April 20th mystery AoS

April 27th chaos 40k

May /June No AoS

July AoS 4th edition

Even if we allow 2 week pre-orders for dark Angels and Tau, there's still more than enough time to fit FEC, Dawnbringers 4 and 5 and a mystery's release before 4th edition.

Wouldn't you say CoS is big enough for a 2 weeks preorder? Considering Space Marines were 2 weeks and more or less about the same number of models

Maybe. It depends where GW are with their supply chain/ production issues. One thing they might do is split up the battleforces and do the AoS ones with Dawnbringers 3 then the 40k ones with Necrons. That would give them an extra week.

Thats what they did last year. AoS Battleforces went up for preorder on the 26th November together with Warcry stuff and two foot heroes. 40k Battleforces went up a week later together with a 40k character and a cursed city expansion

agree with your thoughts and really wish it happen, but after last preview, release schedule looks no more space for more goods..

just like following inference

looks like FEC will be announced on mid of November so.... the only chance is preorder immediately after preview, then we can get it on first or second week of December?

The thing is there is another preview next month I think, it is quite possible that the reason that this one was sub-par is that they were saving material for the next one. So I wouldn't take the preview as a sign that nothing much is happening.

AOS 4.0 would arrive in March,

Once again, not before june, but we will have some previews and trailers late march/april I guess ?

Anyways,

I hope we will finally get a new roadmap with the november preview and some FeC hints, guess it's too early to have a DB4 preview just one month after the DB3 one, and maybe even before its actual release.

Maybe the tomb king part reveal for TOW?

For 40k and side games I am not aware of any rumours so...

The last preview of the year is usually for black library. I'm guessing we'll see Callis and Toll then. That means that we're likely to see quite a lot next month:

FEC,  old world Tomb Kings, the rest of the Necrons, the mystery Horus faction.  We could see Dawnbringers 4, warcry,  killteam and Underworlds as well if they are scheduled before the end of January. The only question is 40k.  The next big release for them isn't until spring which means it probably won't be shown off until LVO next year. Just 2 necron heroes isn't much though.  Maybe we'll see a little Dark Angels tease. Some of the stuff that's coming in February  will probably be shown at LVO in January.

I have my doubts about Callis and Toll being part of a Black Library one or being released in one of the Dawnbringers books, as they are slowly having pressence here and there in those books.

Battletome: Fyreslayers 3.0 was March 12th, 2022 as the first tome for spring 2022, everything possible

Why are you expecting multiple kits for Necrons and/or Mechanicus?

I mean I am a bit biased because I have always been a diehard Fyreslayer player, but I pre-ordered 3 of the Fyreslayer warbands. I think they are some of the best minis GW have made for dwarves/duardin in a long time, if not ever.

I also instantly pre ordered one. They are by far  among the best miniatures GW ever made IMO

The miniature design team for AoS is performing so well lately that it is quite hard to pick the best model from the recent releases for the game.

No, new editions are always released in June (or July, forget which). 4th Ed. will not be released in March, that simply isn't going to happen. It will likely be announced in March though, as I recall that is also what always happens. Is it Adepticon? I forget what the name of the event is.

As @Draznak said Valrak predicted three   heroes for Necrons but just one for Admech. In the stream Eddie said more stuff for Necrons was coming so Valrak's rumour is probably correct. Valrak's old world rumours might be wrong but his 40k predictions have been on the money for a while.

Morghast decidedly are not too big for Warcry- They actually have rules and are pretty solid choices. I do believe that a Morghast hero is the more likely scenario though.
