Well, it's nothing but consistent with the old world, this is the same franchise that named they're expys of India and Japan, Ind and Nippon respectively.

Citadel Paensil (tm) and Citadel Paperium (tm) surely?

An article about the new Kragnos book just went up and the author confirms his book was supposed to come out a year ago. I wonder how much stuff is still in the queue...

My guess is that the often rumored Chaos Dwarfs, Emperor's Children, Dark Mechanicus, and The Old World have all been affected by this "gift" of Nurgle's.

More tangibly I would assume it be Guard and Tyranid codex and maybe the most likely World eater rumor and Chaos daemon book still missing in the picture.

Only thing i can like is that at least seems Cathay is confirmed for TOW...?(my bonereaper project will have some good things for conversions at least?).
But tbh TOW announcement seems was announced only to hype Total war 3 at this point,i'm a bit left down.
They could have at least shown "something" other than maps and TTW3 renders\artworks.

Big agree. I get it, they realised that a lot of people who got into WHF through the games want to play in that world, but it's a bit of shame its just been maps so far. I genuinely thought we might have gotten those old Kislev sculpts as Made to Order (and imagine how cool marketing that would have been? "Like Kislev in Total War? For a limited time, get them as real miniatures!"). Hopefully we'll hear something more substantial soon!

I am actually so damn excited for this novel!! Hearing David speak about writing Ogors, something barely done and as he says probably one of the least written Factions right now has me hyped as hell.

Not only that but viewpoints from Orruks, Grots and Ogors? With a novel centred on Destruction, the Greatest Alliance?! I cannot wait!!

Odds are they're holding the big, earth-shaking, wallet-destroying reveals and previews for Adepticon next month. But I'm hoping we get to see some truly amazing things because of this.

@Snorri Nelriksson, what are you thinking of doing? Samurai/Mongol chaos warriors? Cathayan undead? I really curious. I'm thinking of doing Chaos Araby army via the Disciples and Hedonites range (I have a cool idea for a genie I want to use as a daemon prince).

I just want to give some asian themes to the army(taking mostly from China and partially Japan\India).
Like the Necropolis stalkers modeled after Ashura statues, making the armors more similar to earliest chinese dynasties ones and so on...(the bonechair wizad just screams "military strategist" to me,like some artworks of Zhuge Liang).
Considering that arts are valued between them i find interesting a "personal spin" given by the priests and sculptors...also hoping the next wave will have something like a bone elephant siege cavalry and other "big things"(and i hope GW will play with the body horror like the underworld band leader,it seems something out of giger).
But alas,i find difficult to do anything these months unironically.

Fair enough, I like the idea regarding expanding on the asian side of the army, especially the Hindu/Buddhist multi-arm look. Really separates them from the strange mix of Eastern-European/Hollywood Egypt every other death faction has going on. I just want elephant calvary in general, but a massive bone elephant sounds awesome. GW could make them like the necrosphinx ( four legs, two arms), and replace the "trunk" with a war-flail.

I mean, we have a roadmap out to (apparently) July and it's looking like another battlebox and books release. What earthshaking reveals for AoS could they possibly be holding unto?

Besides the obligatory Chaos Dwarfs mention? New Warcry war bands, the rest of the Nighthaunt expansion, and new multipart chaos warriors + knights. They could also be revealing more stuff for the Old World and other specialist games.

Maybe Skaven big release if the Sylvaneth get to be the weak part of the new battletome?
IDK them and lizard are the most probable to have a Vampire counts styled release being both legacy Whfb army.

The big problem is how to you adapt what many consider near perfection? Besides a general update to any and all finecast kits, and a new named character or two....

They just have to update old models and nothing more.
Skaven have 4 clans to work on for new units and Lizardmen can have some new dinos or something to diferentiate between coalesced and the others....ig they want to go in crazy mode they can just add some magitech to feel more "alien".
But the rats mostly just needs to update kits that have too many years.

Truly perfection has been achieved:
