The Rumour Thread

I don‘t think a range extension for daemons is likely, they are pretty complete overall, especially because each God has to have basic troops and specialists so there is little room for more. Doesn‘t mean that there won‘t be anything new but I think that‘s more along the lines of a unit here or there.

The only way they would really introduce a bunch of kits would be by making more unaligned daemons and while we saw some of those in HH, I‘m not sure they gonna go in that direction on a bigger scale. Unaligned daemons would be the most „standard“ cookie cutter daemons and since GW wants to make their IP more unique than less unique, I doubt such a move. Perhaps the Malerion faction will get something daemon-like, they‘re said to lean into shadow-daemon/draconic themes. 🤷🏻‍♂️

I think there's room for more daemon kits if they started releasing elite level units. In total war they have the basic daemon unit and then a unit comprised entirely of champions. For example they'll have seekers of slaanesh and then a unit of heartseekers of slaanesh (which is the name for the seekers unit champions in AoS). They're similar to their basic counterparts but with nicer models, more detail, of course better stats, and smaller number. They could do something like that in AoS quite easily.

Or they could go for super elite along the scale of minotaurs like they did with the ruinstorm daemons. All the non beast daemons tend to follow the same sort of scale and size which is far less chaotic than it could be. No reason you couldn't start seeing exalted heralds that are the size of an ogre or a hulking bloodletter with a great axe. Lots of possibilities.

What can we expect for the preorder announce today ?

Is it too soon for the Lady of ruin? other?

It’s probably 40k week with rest of tau releases and maybe something for HH. Also considering Emperors Children have been mentioned this week, maybe CSM preorder is also possible.

Yeah. That was the initial plan, but I finished it right before going to bed yesterday. Here it is: https://docs.google.com/spreadsheets/d/1MciOc6Sfgwe17zICxG3DSAnIgHMKy6KeGM5egSuFCCI/edit?usp=sharing

Thanks for all your hard work !

I'm doing the same kind of compilation to see how AoS range has evolved from WHB. I don't have quite the same results as you but it's interesting to see exactly where the differences are and if I've missed anything. :)

And we know this have been sculpted years ago. Imagine how cool would be whatever they are currently working on!

Same as we see now from other 3d sculptors that sell STLs, but than in hard plastic. There is ofcourse a limit what you can do with plastic mini's before they become to fragile / have to many small parts.

What do you mean by having different results? Is there something wrong with my data?

Taking into account that tomorrow the next miniature will be shown and this time it is up to the skaven that you think they will show, for my part I would like to see the rat ogres

If we are looking to the equivalent of the Reclusian I think we will see the Rat Ogor. Jezzails look to me like the Prosecutor's equivalents.

No models for AoS next week, but a new omnibus as well as Yndrasta: The Celestial Spear in paperback.

Chart the continuing history of Warhammer Age of Sigmar in War for the Mortal Realms – a new omnibus collecting companion novels from each edition of the game with new interstitial sections bridging the gaps between major events in the Age of Sigmar. It’s a perfect way to get caught up with the affairs of the Mortal Realms before the new edition of Warhammer Age of Sigmar lands later this year, with exciting stories by Chris Wraight, Josh Reynolds, and Darius Hinks.

Presumably it contains Gates of Azyr, Soul Wars and Dominion.

no info about skaven on monday ? suspicious yes-yes

It was said already in the last post: Cast Supreme Sorceries and Chant Powerful Prayers in #NewAoS - Warhammer Community (warhammer-community.com)

We’ll be revealing another new miniature on Monday, and learning more about battleplans, the General’s Handbook, and the battle tactics of the new edition.

I can see them expanding Be’Lekor’s side of slaves to darkness with his own Daemon creatures and It can either go into either ruinstorm daemons or shadow daemons for him.

If the Legion of the First Prince gets expanded upon, then we can fully expect the Chaos Legionnaires to get the Darkoath treatment. In fact, I am fully convinced it's going to happen one day.

Unaligned Demons would be such an original and interesting concept. I am legit very interested in how they would be, and I can also see them getting introduced to 40K if they were to become a thing.

Really suprised to still see no DB6. It surely has to be next week? Releasing in May just over a month from 4th Edition is cutting it close.

Yeah. It feels weird that it wasn't released with the Darkoath box.

Elite infantry would be awesome. Armoured jacked up bloodletters, even more mutated horrors like the recent WHU set, 4 armed daemonettes with more weapons, only one I'm unsure about is poxwalkers, maybe just make them more bloated and give them a projectile vomit attack so they can be missile troops

4th prob early July are we thinking?

And yes, it feels super deflating to buy rules that'll be out of date in a month. I just bought two boxes of darkoath, but I'm weirdly not hype at all about them.

It's not like soulblight at the end of second ed. These rules will be invalidated at the turn of the edition.

Haha, I spent two months hunting that Yndrasta book down and they just make it appear anyway like a bolt coming down from high Azyr. 😂

Excited for the Mortal Realms one and hope DB6 is soon so Abraxia can lead all this new Darkoath armies popping up👹

Also,

@KingBrodd

Kroot seem to be opening up the doors to new Destruction ideas. 🤔 ❄️

Differences in classification methods : I haven't finished looking at all the armies you've covered, but I count Underworlds/Warcry kits separately, I don't count endless spells/faction terrains, or certain double-kits that you've counted separately (Mathlann's Eidolon springs to mind)... small differences that don't detract from the quality of your data. ;)

And it made me realise that I'd only missed the Black Ark Fleet Master or Cogsmith which have disappeared from the GW site... So thanks to you for the update !

I guess logistic problems. To much people want GW games and mini's. 😄

Yeah. Seems like it was the case. Either that or giving some room to other games, like TOW that got stuff that same week.
