  1. I think it was half Simar half Karl Franz still and not full blown Sigmar? Although he sure looks nothing like Karl Franz anymore so I guess Dracothian gave him a new body when he found him and the went on their brodown round the realms.
  2. Since The Great Nerf has any one else not been too bothered about painting their remaining models? I’ve only got 20 morteks and a soul mason left and have been looking at null myriad lists but it really took the wind out of my sails. Also there’s a meta watch article on the community site, where they point out since they ruined petrifex everyone’s now just using pretty much one build of Morris praetorians which made me laugh. (They also don’t say they ruined petrifex)
  3. I was thinking about how reasonable GW prices seem nowadays and then I remebered I'm in my 30's now and have more money to blow on plastic crack than when I was 13. Back in the day when some character models such as the old school chaos space marine lord (in weight reassuring METAL) went up from £9.00 to £11.00 it was a crime against humanity; but I didn't bat an eyelid on spending £17.50 on the Mortisan Boneshaper which is not in reassuring METAL and similar size wise.
  4. Just as a side note on this; why have all non female vampires been bald in recent times? I know a lot have helmets and what not, but any bareheaded ones are follicaly challenged! This guy however; even has a beard! https://www.ebay.co.uk/itm/Warhammer-Fantasy-Vampire-Counts-Undead-Blood-Dragon-Vampire-on-Foot-Metal/303673729545?hash=item46b45d6209:g:JuQAAOSwO7dfUMvu
  5. LoN still has some really fun lists you can build. Morghasts are almost better in a grand host list led by Nagash than they are in any OBR list post petrifex nerf due to getting plus one attack and being able to pop bloodfeast on them with a vamp and still being healable by Nagash. I'm also somewhat sour and believe the halberd variety should have 5 attacks anyway without having to stack bonuses. My regular opponent tends to bring shooting units that seem to miss most of the (all sylvaneth it would seem) so can't comment on that but Nagash can certainly still dominate the magic phase.
  6. It's going to be exciting to see the other faction specific ones, hoping Death get something nice. Mega Gargants is going to be a really weird release given all factions can benefit from them. Looking forward to it.
  7. Seraphon are an army I thought GW would really go to town on for AoS but yeah all they got was a ziggurat! Skaven are another army that while I dislike (the enternal thorn in Nagash's side) thought GW would go all out on for AoS.
  8. Not that I think they need a redsign but Blood Knights need to be in plastic or give us the reassuring (and better quality) weight of METAL!
  9. The Cairn Wraith was mostly taken out of pity; I like the model and you never see one in nighthaunt or LoN also felt it fitted better with the chainrasps. I knew I wanted Nagash and some Morghasts, so tried to keep unit sizes down to get them in. Units of 20 worked well for Endless Legions too, as I could enure I could fit them all back on the board when they were wiped. The Morghasts of both types has a lot to do with I just like Morghasts, but on a serious note there was some thought behind it. The Harbingers would run across the board and get stuck in, while the Arcai were primarily to make my opponent think twice about charging Nagash later in the game when he started charging stuff. Again I don't play tournaments and it was just a fun list I wanted to try out.
  10. So quite a few rumour engine pics are pointing towards soulblight, what better than a bit of wishlisting for what we would all want from a Soulblight battle tome? I'll start with my own personal want that is unlikely to happen; ABHORASH. Make the model and take my money GW! Plastic Blood Knights are overdue although there is probably a risk of them falling by the wayside in favor of some new monstrous cavalry. Bring back Bloodlines properly. With subfactions being such a thing, I can actually see this happening but maybe with different names. Make vampire lords feared again, racket up their points boost their stats and abilities and allow us to take pride in fielding a vampire lord and our opponents to fear what they can do. I wouldn't be opposed to them having "legion vampire lords" for LoN like the Black Coach now has two profiles. Also worth noting on the webstore the old Red Duke model is gone! I know it was a very old model but the Wight King on Skeletal Steed is still knocking about, could be nothing but I swear it was still available to buy a couple of weeks ago...
  11. The pointy ears using hammers is some next level blasphemy, that not only needs entering in the book of grudges but needs "hammering out". Preferably Aelf brain matter everywhere, starting with those no good twins Teclis and Tyrion. One started the end times and the other couldn't keep his hands off the Everqueen then followed that up with a dalliance with Morathi! And he's meant to be honorable?! All said from the viewpoint of your friendly neighbourhood vampire.
  12. I'm really hoping the new soulblight models aren't all going to be wearing "muscle shirts". I know Manfred likes flexing his guns but a whole army of bicep flexing nutcases would be too much.
  13. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2020/09/03/artefacts-of-the-lumineth/ Blade of Leaping Gold Available to Scinari Cathallars, the Blade of Leaping Gold turns these supporting Heroes into respectable close combat characters – giving them the potential to slay a rival Hero or deal a killing blow on a monster! Perhaps your opponent will be more careful about taking them on next time. Long time Warhammer players may recognise this relic – and its effect – from several editions of Warhammer Fantasy Battles, where it was a magic item crafted by the High Elves of Ulthuan. Looks like either it made it to the Mortal Realms intact, or Teclis got nostalgic… And here was me thinking it was taken by The Red Duke on the crusades as a spoil of war?!
  14. They could always give Petrifex their +1 save back and change the command ability like they should have done in the first place. The +1 save fits with their lore of being made from more durable bone than the other legions, the command ability is just added craziness that has no lore reason to exist. Wishful thinking I know, but currently they are more the Petrifex shafted than the Petrifex Elite.
  15. What I imagine all us LoN plays sing repeatedly. 😂
  16. Locus of Shyish only works on spells from the two spell lores though right? So the Necromancer wouldn't get the bonus for Vanhels Danse Macabre.
  17. As @RuneBrush said I'd also possibly prefer something a bit more luxurious, but agree it would be nice to have the lore collected in a book of any type really. They could have pull out pages for individual characters with their background and annotations for their arms and armour etc.
  18. The original Lord of The Rings Strategy Battle Game always tends to be spoken of favorably as the best rule set GW has ever produced and for my money it probably was too. Flowed very well, (first instance of priority rolls for the turn being a thing and there was no moaning about it) everything just worked really, it's been over ten years since I played it but yeah out of the big 3 at the time it was the cleanest ruleset.
  19. Square bases, rank and file, movement trays, the return of the old world. Hit the reset button! For the record I like AoS, I just don't like the fact there is no way to have a purely hero on hero combat, other units getting involved ruins the spectacle of two heavy hitters going at it to see who is the best.
  20. Going on what you said about magic, maybe bring back miscasts and irresistable force? If somehow challenges could come back and work, I'd like that a lot. No idea how it could be implemented and be worthwhile but I'd like it all the same. I also honestly think you shouldn't be able to shoot if your in combat to me it just seems a bit much, I'll shoot you in combat and then attack with my melee weapons as well.
  21. Took Nagash in a grand host list the other day, managed to hand of dust Alarielle, killed Durthu and some spite reveanents and put most of the hurt on a tree lord ancient with arcane bolt spam before a morghast finished him off in combat. Lost the game by one point (shifting objectives that didn't shift in my favour!) but was very happy with how Nagash performed. This was my list: LeadersNagash Supreme Lord of the Undead (880)- General- Lores of the Dead Spell 1: Overwhelming Dread- Lores of the Dead Spell 2: Fading Vigour- Lores of the Dead Spell 3: Vile TransferenceVampire Lord (140)- Mount: Flying Horror- Artefact: Plate of Perfect Protection- Lore of the Vampires: Amaranthine OrbCairn Wraith (60)Battleline5 x Dire Wolves (70)5 x Dire Wolves (70)20 x Chainrasp Horde (160)20 x Skeleton Warriors (160)- Ancient BladesUnits2 x Morghast Archai (190)- Spirit Halberds2 x Morghast Harbingers (190)- Spirit HalberdsEndless Spells / Terrain / CPsUmbral Spellportal (70)Total: 1990 / 2000Extra Command Points: 0Allies: 0 / 400Wounds: 109
  22. Bring Nagash back down to 800 or less, now he's lost so many of the benefits he had (realm spells when they were a whole lore not just the singular crappy spell we have now, Petrifex +1 save, multiple after save saves, access to spells of all other wizards in LoN there's probaly more)?
  23. They now have the Ossiarch Bonereapers keyword, as written I believe it is perfectly acceptable but in the spirit of fairness would there be objections?
