  1. Oh really? I didn't realize their abilities relied on a Slann. It's been a while since I've looked them over so there's a lot I know I've missed. I'm trying to find a new army to start to oppose my friend's Ossiarchs and since I got the Seraphon Christmas boxed set when GW offered it I thought I might try them out. Thank you for the answers!
  2. Oof. I doubt I'd win any tournaments anyway but I'm not a fan of mandatory picks in list-making.
  3. Can a Seraphon list get by without a Slann?
  4. So with Ossiarchs releasing soon... what would you all recommend fielding to oppose them?
  5. I know from asking that Gnashrak doesn't count as a Great Bray-Shaman for Depraved Drove. They said that the battalion requires warscrolls, mot keywords.
  6. Or maybe Kurnothi? Man, seeing that was quite a kick in the brain for me. I'm so curious to see what it is.
  7. I really like the idea of Ironbark, can you specify what make their sub-faction abilities of minimal value? Can you no longer take a Branchwych or Branchwraith as your Champion? I was considering starting up Sylvaneth as a PtG counter to my friend's new Ossiarchs and I was going to try and field as many units as I could.
  8. https://www.warhammer-community.com/2019/10/25/ogor-mawtribes-the-sub-factionsgw-homepage-post-2/ Thoughts?
  9. Holy ******, that's awesome! I like the Hunter well enough but I'd be all over a new model!
  10. May I ask what these drops I keep hearing about are? I know nothing about playing other than the rules.
  11. Is Depraved Drove worth it in Beasts of Chaos? Not just compared to the other godly battalions, but in general.
  12. My Nomad Princess is a Handmaiden of the Everqueen!
  13. I'm thinking about making a more human-focused army for Anvilguard, with blocks of Freeguild supported by Darkshards and Sorceress magic. What Corsairs I have will be there to grab objectives and tap away with their crossbows. Since it's Anvilguard I'll be able to bring a Kharibdyss or two (what's the plural of Kharibdyss?). Thoughts?
  14. I think so. In the Deep Fried Basin, ruled by the eleven Princes of Herbs and Spices. Tis a noble land; in D&D terms the inhabitants' alignment tends to be Lawful Good, Neutral Good, and Finger-licking Good. That's all I've got. If I really wanted to commit I'd paint a Freeguild General like Colonel Sanders but I don't think the payoff would be worth it. I'm beginning to think I want to keep my Freeguild seperate from my Wanderers. I just don't know what I want to do regarding my Free City's background any more; I've gone from one well-defined concept (Freeguild and the Artists known formerly as Dark Elves) to wanting to use my Wanderers and Sylvaneth, all while dabbling in a side-project Hyshian city. I'm most excited to field my Wanderers but I haven't any idea what their background would be! And that's important to me. Everything I've tried has ultimately been to try and fit their square peg in the round holes of my initially-Freeguild concept or the triangular hole of "but I also want a scheme which will match my Sylvaneth". I may have to just wait for inspiration with them.
  15. I don't know, it seems like the "KF" I keep seeing everywhere stands for "Kentucky Fried". In case the bearer falls in battle, you know, so the company knows what kind of chicken to serve at his wake.
  16. Well if my aelves aren't welcome in Ghyran they'll just have to re-settle some aelven ruins in Ulgu. So what if I use the Living City rules for them. So what if they are developing a strained relationship with the nearby Sylvaneth of the Gloomwood. Alarielle doesn't get to say what they can do or who they hang out with. What's Malerion up to? Does he want some new friends?
  17. Well, he's a god and his stormcasts helped with her resurrection. Personally I think it sucks and it's a little hypocritical (Alarielle was one of the first to leave Sigmar's pantheon) but I suppose it's the nature of divinity to be so.
  18. I have a set of Demigryphs to build but haven't decided on halberds or lances. I'm leaning toward lances from a purely aesthetic point but I'd like to hear other people's opinions.
  19. I was going to use Orion's model. Talk about going green!
  20. Thanks for the close-up; I can get a much better idea of what the colors are!
  21. Living City escaped being corraled into a subforum with the other Cities. Quick, run amok! But seriously though, can I get some painting advice? I saw this picture this morning and I love the way the Wildwood Rangers look, but I'm unsure how they were painted! (The colors used, I mean) If I could get any advice I'd love to hear it!
  22. I was also leaning that way, but I don't actually have the Daughters book to confirm, haha! Edit: It appears that I do in fact have the Daughters of Khaine book and am, in fact, dumb as a bag of hammers.
  23. Do Daughters of Khaine ever attack other Order factions for sacrifices? I know the narrative is loose enough that anyone can fight anyone, really. I'm just wondering if they're like Idoneth in that they are known to occasionally prey on their allies.
