elfhead
I can't believe stormcasts are getting yet another character option... In Dutch, verstand means knowledge, or mind. So similar to german.
Suave
Bell of Lost Souls is reporting that this weekend we will get Stormcast Eternal Lord Veritant - $33. Turragor
They're going to do what they did in 40k with space marines, with stormcast in AoS. but with death instead of Chaos. I am looking forward to a potential traitor stormcast host. Edited October 12, 2016 by Turragor Edit, I cannot punctuate that sentence properly. Tired! ElectricPaladin
I would still rather something more nuanced. Stormcast aligned with Death in a way that's shady or complicated. Stormcast who are bad because they're so devoted to Order that they become the enemy of ordinary humans. Not just "lol Stormcast of Chaos." Not just "lol Stormcast of Chaos." I kind of like the setup, that a soul can only be reforged so many times. It gives the Stormcast extra depth. It gives the potential death stormhosts a bit of poignancy right away. Not Chaos stormcast but stormcast who are true shells under the control of the master of death.

It's hard to do 360°s like that in wargames because of how much it alienates players. Better to simply imply that Sigmar might be doing something fishy, as long as it's something fishy in line with who Sigmar is, rather than a total inversion. When AoS first came out and the background was just being established I theorised that the version of Sigmar we were seeing was totally contrary with his previous depictions and the guy sending out the gold-plated blue steel fabulosas was really the missing Slaanesh.

Would actually be kind of neat if all these noble legions of heavenly warriors actually work for some horrendous evil monstrosity that controls them. That's enough procrastinating before work for me now. Do you mean like this? Or like this?

Instead of GW releasing the inevitable Chaos Stormcast, the renegade chambers should decamp to Death. Maybe lots of them are weakened by too many reforgings and can't last much longer. Nagash offers them eternity in exchange for their allegiance. I think I'd be tempted by that range! The Lord Relictor is a great mini. Make them like that but in jet black armour. I made a bunch of posts about corrupted Stormcast in this thread: Quote I'd also like to see corrupted Stormcast somewhere down the line, though not from the obvious place in the big four (who they've been specifically built to be uncomfortable by and who's followers the Celestant-Prime breaks the rule of Chaos by uncorrupting), but from Nagash and the Skaven, both of whom have respectively been pretty keen on getting the Stormcast's souls back in his domain/reverse engineering them. Quote I really just meant 'corrupted' in the broadest possible sense of twisted against/not serving Sigmar anymore. The skaven 'Stormcast' (stormvermin cast?) would be the result of Grey Seer Skurrik vivisecting that poor prosecutor prime that got dreaded 13th'd in Quest for Ghal Maraz, and either stealing the knowledge of the Stormcast creation process and using a twisted version of it on Skaven, or dreaded 13thing more Stormcast (or both); possibly as a bid to topple Archaon/other dominant Chaos powers. Nagash's Stormcast would be the result of Nagash reclaiming Stormcast souls after the reforging process and creating a legion of super-wights, locked in an eternal torture as they're forced to take the passenger seat in their own minds as they cut down scores of innocents, subsumed by the will of Nagash. Sent from my A0001 using Tapatalk I don't think Bloodbowl will be influenced by AoS. There's a large existing player base for Bloodbowl that probably won't be too happy to see new fangled AoS stuff make it into the Bloodbowl universe (Which is firmly set in a variant of the Old World). I certainly wouldn't want to see Stormcast involved, but would be quite happy to see some themed teams from AoS make it in in a more natural fit (Sylvaneth being one that could potentially do that). In other news. Some new stuff on "Made to Order" showed up on my GW's facebook page today. It seems these are along the lines of limited print runs of the older stuff. Looks like they will be made available for some short period of time for people to order and then shipped out all over the world. So the Imperial Guard stuff for example, might be available for a week. Once it's over, it's over, they're not available anymore and they start making the miniatures to send out to people who ordered them. It's not a bad way to do things as they can justify getting out the mould and casting the miniatures without having to do it for one person who randomly wants OOP Calgar on the toilet. Will be interesting to see how it goes, and whether anything interesting is made available. I'd be really keen to see Specialist Games models being made available in this way as well (Although, permanently through Forgeworld would also be nice!). Reports seem to indicate that a lot of the old specialist games are actually coming back... but possibly in different scales or with different basing requirements, and almost certainly with new sculpts. What's the point of picking up some more - say - space ships for BFG if they're going to do a new BFG with even better models sometime soon? someone2040
Well, for people who have incomplete sets of older models it makes sense that they'd want to pick up some of that older stuff. And who knows, scales might not change that much, models may not actually look better to some people or maybe they'll only make new models for certain factions. For example, new Bloodbowl certainly isn't going to have new sculpts for every single team from the getgo. I'd love to pick up some old Mordheim and Warmaster stuff just to round out some of my sets with missing pieces without having to pay ludicrous prices (Ever tried to chase down a Sisters of Sigmar Auger?).

I've had it confirmed that it is "highly likely" we'll see all of the classic Bloodbowl teams re-released for the new game, mostly likely in a similar format they're doing the Dwarves & Skaven - so models, double-sided pitch and special cards. I am irrationally looking forward to Chaos Dwarves No confirmation on if they'll be FW resin or plastic. With the usual "never say never" caveat, I can't see AoS factions appearing. At least not until we've got the classic teams. 3 hours ago, ElectricPaladin said: I'd wait on that. So far it's been confirmed that we've got/getting Bloodbowl (classic version recreated) Adeptus Titanicus (based on the classic, in a different scale with new rules) Warhammer Quest (out already, new game variation of the classic) The Hobbit/LotR (tidying up the rules and re-releasing models) Epic Armageddon (nothing known) Necromunda (nothing known) Battlefleet Gothic (nothing known) There's a pretty even split of re-imagining of classic games and keeping the same ruleset/scale so who knows on BFG! swiftmus
I always loved looking at the BFG models but never got any, I'd love for them to re-release it! Regarding Epic, the rumours I've read is that the new Adeptus Titanicus is planned to include tanks and then infantry eventually. Again I only know from what I've read, but didn't the original Epic come out of Adeptus Titanicus anyway?
